      Hi Roger, yes mate, a lovely little gun, it's a little bit more of everything than the LPH80 except size, having said that it uses a little more air and runs at a higher pressure so creates more overspray 👍

      Thanks Steve, yes, these guns are really small, LPH80, Meiji Finer Spot, LPH50, W50 etc, I really like using them as they are fun, and makes it more difficult than blasting it with a Sata 5000 or similar, I enjoy seeing what they can do, they use little air so are ideal for people at home, thanks mate as always 👍

    Hey Pete, yet again no notification from YT about a new upload from you mate so sorry I missed it. Anyway I love the look of that little gun and it's got a big fan for it's size.
    Most mini guns are more than capable of doing single car panels or bike tanks and sometimes they do a better job as they are more controllable on the smaller panels, it did a good job on the base and clear on the wing mate obviously it took a bit longer but the finish is as good as a full size gun 👌🙏👍

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  2 года назад

      Thanks Luis, the problem with most mini gun's, as you probably know, is the tip sizes normally stop around the 1.2 mark, the Sata Minijet is an exception but not cheap, the Iwata Kiwami W50 1.3 is also good but still not cheap, I would suggest the ANI R160 1.2 or if money is really tight the ANI GF3 1.2, both should be ok, you may need to reduce/thin the paint slightly, they both like a good bit of pressure so aim for around 42 to 48 psi, hope that helps

    hi Pete! first of all thank you for reviewing so many guns. I build electric guitars as a hobby and paint them . I mostly use nitro lacquer as a finish . I own a very small compressor (an Einhel just 24lt , 1.5hp ) so I'm looking for a gun that works with low pressure and with very low air consumption. Do you believe this fits the bill? Also ,till now I've been using a Devilbiss flg-5 and most of the times I have to over-reduce the paint and the clear in order to get better atomization . Do you believe that is bad and if yes , what does it cause? Thanx a lot!

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi buddy, over thinning the materials can cause shrinkage, so it cracks later on over time.
      If you are running an FLG5, then you will run a Finer Spot, It will be a slower but give a better finish, for even lest air consumption the LPH80 is good but slower that the Finer Spot

    • @stamaths1999
      @stamaths1999 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@peteshobbies5383 thanx for the quick reply and the tips. I forgot to mention that the nitro lacquer that's available in my country dries really quick , so quickly that sometimes it comes dry right off the gun creating strings . I use a slow nitro reducer for that reason and still getting some dry paint/clear on the surface. So I assume that I have to use a fast gun. Running the flg5 with that compressor makes it difficult for the compressor to compensate. So , do you believe I should get the Finer Spot or first get a bigger and more powerful compressor? Thanx a lot!

      @peteshobbies5383  2 года назад +1

      Thanks David, yes, it's very similar. slightly bigger fan and this puts out a little more material, probably because it operates at 22psi.
      Yes, I still have an ANI R150, this is a much more refined gun, build quality is in a different league and this operates at a lower pressure, the ANI is by comparison rather crude, needing 42 to 48 psi for clear, although i would still say it's the best gun at the £100GBP mark

    Hello Pete! Thanks for the excellent videos!
    I have model airplanes as a hobby. I have an Iwata RG3L, but I'm looking to purchase a gun with a larger fan to make painting the wings easier. They are generally panels measuring approximately 50cmX160cm. My compressor is 24L. I'm looking for LPH 80 1.2 or this Meiji Finer Spot 1.2. What advice can you give me?

    • @peteshobbies5383

      Hi Mate, good to hear you enjoy the videos.
      I would take a look at this video if you haven't already,
      ruclips.net/video/9pG-MDT6PWQ/видео.htmlsi=jI7K6B4Gj6bkvoVX
      It may help you decide, I would look at a LPH50 in 1.0 or the LPH80 in 1.2, the latter will probably be too much for what you want.
      The Finer Spot is a very good gun but it's got quite a big fan size, much more than you need, it ok for larger areas but not for what you have in mind, the LPH50 takes the same cups as your RG-3L, hope that helps 👍

      In that case, the Finer Spot is a good choice, as is the W50 1.3 Kiwami Iwata and the W50 1.2 Iwata Bisho, they are all pretty good on air, not as low as the LPH80, LPH50 but still quite low

    Well you know what Ebay is like. The seller sold it to me - a private offer and then withdrew it and sold it to someone else. It had the 3 black controls missing off it. But this one came up private no 1032 of3000. everthing there but did not have the anesta Iwata air regulator with it. I had a Lematech digital regulator which I put in the case. Always hankered for that gun. With the Gold inner valve control bodies. I have the WS 400 clear coat gun, but this is the base coat air cap. Perhaps you xould review different air pressure regulator's??? I must say that the iwata regulators were not hardy with solvents and the Adam are way over priced and all Sata guns suffer from the built in digital failing after some time. So, I just remove the batteries and use a normal regulator. But that will be my last spray gun that I buy. Well over 35 guns now. You must own at least 70 or 80😅😂🤣. Need to do a hypershift pearl project to try the Lotus out. Paid £250 for it.

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  2 года назад

      Hi Sal, The Upol is around the same viscosity as most other clears after its has been warmed up, the difference is the better clears flow better so you need to apply less for the same finish as the better ones will flow out after application for the first minute or so whereas the Upol only flows a little so you more or less spray for finish you want if that makes sense 👍
