Interesting air brush / mini gun. I bought a PS-290 last year and have been using it to paint a 1/24 semi truck. The box van has been a new challenge because I had to load it with with light green paint to get good, even coverage. The PS-290 cup was too small and i had to load it many times to get full coverage. So, the big cup with this makes a bit of sense.
Big chonky spraygun right there, and the o-ring really shines among the spraygun. And oh the 0.6 mm which is a nice option. Nice vids.

You need to release a fan cap for the .7 needle on your Swallowtail airbrush. I've had good luck on a couple of kits using the Wicked Colors thinning 50/50, but would like to go with a fan cap at .7. Great review on the No Name but I love the atomization of the Swallowtail.

Great test! Yeah, that's up my alley for sure. I do a lot of restoration work and the stuff I work on is kind of midsized. It does look pretty good, but their price point seems high for what it is. I'll have to check it out more closely because my LPHV mini gun is in that needle range and really nice quality made in Italy and right there in price. Maybe their target market is using the Iwatas that are similarly sized. I'll have to look into it more deeply. Thanks for the review!
The Iwata LPH80-082G is only $40 more and you can adjust air to the fan cap. If you allow different bigger nozzles for thicker paint, you need to be able to turn up the fan cap air. The swallowtail gets around this by only giving you a fan cap for the .5mm tip, so that locks you into a viscosity that works well in 18 - 22psi.

Hey Robert, thank you for the videos. I know that youve done “how to clean your airbrush” videos before. Is there a new coming up? Have you learned any new tricks to clean the airbrush or new ways? Im having trouble cleaning my mobius .3 after using primer and its thinn
I haven't been able to find a black dupli-color primer sadly. I like their clear and would have liked a source of reasonably cheap lacquer primer but nothing but rattle cans.
Have 3 Iwata guns 0.6, 1.0, and 1.2mm (with fan on the last one). The Fortress has the CFM needed to drive them.
would love for you to test out a spraygun with a smaller cup ,since dont use that much paint but airbrushes really cant handle pearls and metalflake ..tropical glitz has an adapter kit that they said worked with their hundred dollar spray gun ive been tempted to try out.
That'd be GREAT for the 1/12 and 1/8 scale car kits I have to build but it's a little too much for me at the moment. Maybe I'll be able to catch it on a sale.

That needle looks like one of the tungsten's for a TIG welder!

Nice video Robert, it works pretty well. Maybe someone who those 1/16th scale military models couls use one of these. I dont so i will stick to my swallowtail for now.

Yeah price point is a bit high. I would love to use it on my rc car polycarbonate plastic body bcoz of the big fan cap. But as always love watch all ur videos u upload and keep up the good work u do.

Yes, because it doesn't need a giant compressor. Most spray guns need much more power.

Swallowtail has. A .7 needle option with fan cap? If this is true I would buy one.... The mini gun is a great tool for large size models and even toys and bicycles... My smallest mini spray gun is a devillbiss knock off .8 and it sprays awesome.. At $200 its a bit pricey for a noname... Better at the $150 mark.
Fan cap on the Swallowtail is a 0.5mm
@@barbatosrex9473thanks I new that when I heard you say .7 I got excited cause I would love a swallowtail with .3 and .7 fan cap options... Maybe you can talk to Gaahleri and make my dream come true.. The new HFT blackwidow trigger airbrush comes with a .3 fan cap option hope you review it when you get a chance... I did a review on my channel and for $70 it's a good buy.
It sprays vary nice but at this time I don't think I really need one that big an powerful

Hi B-Rex, I hope this isn't a silly question but should the fan cap be vertical or horizontal? Same question for the swallow tail too. Jay from England.
Depends on which way you're working, that's why it turns. For most cases, the horns should be left and right which makes your paint fan vertical and you move the gun horizontally. But if you're painting something tall and skinny, it might be more convenient to put the horns top and bottom and paint up and down.

A little less but it does need thinning. It sprays spider webs if it's not thinned more

Hey I was wondering which Jumpwind metallic you think is closest to Alclad II Chrome or Beskar, I'm working on a Mandalorian helmet and I have a bunch of JW but no Alclad lol
Duralumen from the Digital Armory is super close
Unfortunately Jumpwind doesn't make a chrome. Try Etsy, they sell one called Duralumen Tuff Chrome. It's very good and they show Beskar armor painted with it on the site

HI. Try the Procon-Boy PS290. It is way cheaper and is the same sorta thing. I have one but found it is mostly a bit big for most things. It was useful for a larger RC Model i painted for someone but it goes unused mostly but does actually work very well.
It's currently $189 on Amazon and it includes the 0.6mm needle nozzle set too
