    The fire orange looks good on a 70's Doge Charger. Also, the Saffire Blue looks good on a 80's GMC Pichup. Testers Extreme Lacquer paints are for model cars. Someone might find other uses for the Extreme Lacqure. We will have to see later down the road. Mike

    After clear coat, wait a few days, if it doesn't wrinkle then you did it right. If it wrinkles you need to cut & buff it. Its a very tricky clear (wet look)... You need to put it on in very light coats (about 5), not all at once. You need to clear these colors on styrene plastic, spoons are different for some reason they give you a nice gloss. I really like their paints.

    Many years ago, Testors put out factory automotive color lacquers in spray cans. We had several leak at the seals after they where on the shelf for a few months.
    Hobby Lobby has 1100 stores and a warehouse to stock so they buy directly from RPM (owner of Rustoleum-Testors) and have very good buying power (= lower cost) where us mom and pop shops only buy 3 or 6 cans from a a distributor (who has a markup) so us small shops have to sell at "retail" to make a couple dollars on a can.
    I suspect that each rattle can coat is much heavier than each airbrush coat, maybe 2 or 3 to 1 heavier.
    Thanks for sharing you time and experiments with us.

    Those are pretty decent paints. I have used the Fiery Orange on a couple models and really like them. The "Wet Look" clear isn't bad either.

    Thank you for the test/review 👍👍 I have used a couple of these. As long as you do light coats and wait about 5 to 10 minutes before each cote it will lay down beautifully. I am wanting to get an airbrush but for now I am using spray. cans.

    Great paint review and testing, that green on car body looks great. And the can of wet look is really cool. But the price OH my.
    I've been painting with testors enamel and lacquer for too many years to count, have always had good luck. I have two bottles of their glosscote and 2 of dullcote right here front of me. One bottle that I bought at Riverside Hobbies in Sacramento better then 10 years ago has a price tag of $3.35 for 1 3/4oz bottle. Still works great.
    Thank you BR, great video.

    I love these paints right out of the can! I have decants of the maroon, red, gold and the white lightning. I have cut them all with Levelling Thinner otherwise they dry way too fast for my liking. Also, 8.29 is entirely too much for this small can. I should have picked up a ton before they jacked up the price at Hobby Lobby last year.

    Most of those look real good. The Purple- icious lays a nice purple on the current release 40 Ford sedan kit. And Deja blue lays nice dark blue on the brown plastic of the '86 Ertl release. There was another one that got overlooked here. The Inca gold it lays down with a matte finish came out of the can with alot of goobers. I plan on stripping the body,of the 67 Cobra, and airbrushing it with that color. It's a good color. I like it, just better through an airbrush.

    I’ve used them when they were the One Coat. Had the same issue of them leaking that varnish out of the seams. They made a mess. But besides that, they were awesome. That white lighting got me tho. Didn’t know it was a pearl as the cap didn’t indicate that. It looked like metallic white. So when I sprayed it over gray primer, it came out like a silver gray color…still looked good tho. Will be trying them out as I did buy a few that were on sale.

    • @KunaiKrazy

      CAREFULLY poke a small hole at the top, let it gas out, make the said hole bigger, let it gas out more, if necessary then pour it out.

    • @fabonline9389
      @fabonline9389 Месяц назад +3

      I just decanted 27 cans of paint this weekend. Do not poke a hole in the can until you have removed as much of the gas as you can. Hold it upside down and hold nozzle for several minutes. If you don't you will lose half or more of the paint. You won't be able to stop the paint from coming out. Ask me how I know. I will let it sit upside down for several more minutes while I am starting another one. The gas will continue to come out of the paint as it sits in the can. Do it again just before drilling. Don't do it inside. Don't drill into the domed part at the top. Drill just below the thick ridge connecting the dome and the can. Use a paper towel in one hand next to the drill bit. Cover the hole quickly with the paper towel and thumb. You can slowly let the gas out but it could still come out a lot. Do not have the hole facing you as you drill. Do not aim it at anything you don't want to paint. Make sure you have plenty of paint thinner and paper towels handy. I had to repaint some patio furniture after my first attempts. After your big hole I cut the top off and squeeze the top to a point. Pour into a plastic or glass bottle and put the cap on loosely for at least several hours. I use throwaway funnels to make less of a mess. Sometimes no matter how careful you are there will be a mess.
