WELCOME BACK Mr. BikeGear.! You & I, we go way back, if you remember me. Hee hee Good to see a Fresh New Video from you again, sorry that I didn't notice this vid for the last 6-months. Still better then 4+ years ago 🏍😺
try all simple stuff first. I had a bike that did this once, it ended up being the connector on the kick stand interlock had a messed up connection, it would start but once the revs hit idle, the vibration was just right to make the bike think the stand was down. At that time I was always starting in gear with the clutch in, these days i always start it in neutral, so I probably wouldn’t notice if it happened again.
Mine doing a similar thing, it died like it was running out of fuel, then started and died again. I replaced the fuel pump also now it won't even fire up. I'm thinking could be something to do with the pulse generator or start relay. Yet to check. Have you had any luck yet with yours
Hi. Mine is doing this now after changing the solenoid and charging the battery, as its been stood for a few weeks now. Before i changed the relay it would click like a farting noise.
After watching a few more videos i concluded that the wires must be the wrong way around. Nothing to lose, i swapped the red and black and it worked, it fired up! Relief.
Test generator by watching battery voltage either rise when running and if not then obviously a stator issue. It does seem kind of funky the way it almost immediately shuts off when it starts though. Usually even if the stator is bad the bike should be able to run off the battery power alone for a while, another guy here commented that it might be a kick stand sensor issue or a safety kill switch sensor fault which in my opinion seems to be most likely fault in this case.
Well, if you changed all those parts, it's logical to say that the issue might not be that simple. Try diagnostics:) It's 2008 bike, after all. *It has a computer for a reason. * I'm not a bike specialist, but this might be a compression issue. I hope I'm wrong:) You're changing parts like you have an 80s bike. "I changed this, i changed that.." Dude... the bike starts very well. It's clearly not a battery or spark plug issue. It's good that you changed the fuel pump and relay, but if you did a diagnostics first, you'd save some bucks.
First off make sure your battery is good. Then you need to test your regualtor rectifier and also your stator. Looks like everything else you replaced or checked seems good so try that.
@@BIKEGEARMOTOVLOG check the stator or generator first. Pretty easy to test. With the bike off the battery voltage should be at least 12 volts but with it running, the voltage should rise to about 13.8 -14.5 volts, if it does this then you know your stator or generator is doing its job of charging the battery. Just use a multimeter and touch the leads to the battery posts. I almost exclusively work on cars for my job but the fundamentals stays the same when it comes to engines.
@@BIKEGEARMOTOVLOG Have you figured it out yet? I have a complete set of bodywork that is in very good condition that came off a 2006 raven edition and I also have a brand new set of shorty levers for sale if interested
That's a good possibility. He would have to test the ground connection from the negative post of the battery to the chassis ground by testing the voltage drop.
Hello everyone, I will update you guy's as soon as i try all what you guy's recommend. Thank you all for your inputs.

Did you get the bike running?

@@ENLSN77 What wire are we talking about? Are you talking about the battery terminal wires?
@@BIKEGEARMOTOVLOG the 2 on the solenoid/relay.
@@ENLSN77 i have a video on my channel asking for help. Take a look and let me know what you think? Please and thank you.
Have a grounds issue cause the gas not pushing through the injector into the butterfly for it to start ..anyone can help ?
did you figure it out i have the same problem
Generator that’s the primary culprit!

🤔....i hate to say this but i sounds like it's the fuel injector's

So just to clarify I did change the battery it's a new battery just like I stated in the video. But I will give the regulator a try thank you
