  • An investigation is underway after a 6-year-old girl died on a ride at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Colorado. The child was riding the Haunted Mine Drop, which drops riders "110-feet inside the dark depths of Iron Mountain in what feels like a free-fall.” Walt Stowe, a spokesman for the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, said that his agency is investigating the accident and opted to not give any additional information, according to the outlet.

Putting a 6 year old with tiny legs on the ride when there's fully grown adults with big legs keeping the bar from holding her in is the problem. Put it like this, imagine parachuting in a steel ball with a window filled with foam compared to just parachuting.

      Lol there is a height and weight restriction, but 1. Unless you’re obese you don’t have to worry about it.
      2. I’m assuming she was forced by her mother and forcing the staff to go in the ride, when she was most likely under the height requirement. It’s possible but unlikely for it to be a seatbelt failure. We need to wait until Glenwood Caverns releases a statement on this after the investigation. As an amusement park enthusiast I can understand how you as a mother can be scared, but as long as your daughter meets the height restriction of a ride she goes on, it’s fine. I’ve been riding roller coasters since I was 6 and can easily tell you this is most likely a child forced to ride the ride when she’s too short, causing her to die. Mind you it’s a 1 in 24 million chance of being hurt, and an even higher chance of dying at an amusement park. I hope you understand.

    • @xthunder_164
      @xthunder_164 2 года назад

      Also as I reread your comment: The child’s mother was most likely a Karen, barking at the ride ops to take her on the ride. If this turns out on what I think happens, then the ride ops will most likely, wait- lemme rephrase that, WILL be fired. Then again it’s most likely not a seatbelt failure. But it’s not out of the question.
