Mormon narcisism and Mormon toxic ways of perceiving the world do way more damage to people here in Utah than witnessing a human death. I'm not denying seeing this could traumatize someone, perhaps especially a child, but the main traumatizing factors in Utah are related to the toxic wicked ways Mormons are prone to view the world and how they destroy relationships and abuse others based on how they view the world
Or did he fall? I'm not debating the intended outcome. But there are few people (if any?) That could hold on for 7 mins from end to end. He could of let go or he could of held on as long as he could until his grip gave out and he fell.
This is sad on so many levels. What he did could not have been easy on the others who had to witness his choice of suicide method. They came to enjoy their day and this is what they had to face. RIP dude
He didn't look distressed, or call for help, even as he saw the woman recording him hanging on the safety bar of his car. Note that he holds on by his fingertips of both hands; he doesn't use his thumbs to get a solid grip on the bar. Others have said he was drunk, and climbed out to hang that way; he did similar stunts like that before, but this time, he lost his grip.
It is sad but things like this are selfish… you shouldn’t do public suicide. What if a little kid saw him fall and get killed. What if anyone saw him do that. It can mess a person up deeply. This man shot himself in his car by a grocery store at our schools dismissal. At a lot of people get out for early dismissal. They could’ve seen him do that. High schoolers are already stressed out enough.
i just dont understand why he chose to do it at a fun park in front of families. I have been sucidial before but never have i thought to take my own life in front of people also was this even confirmed to be a suicide???
His calm demeanor shows everything… He wasn’t hanging for dear life, he was waiting for the right heigh and thinking his last thoughts. Rest In Peace to another hurt and lost soul
It looks more like a suicide than an accident. He was motionless, he didnt appear to be stressed, he was hanging on but looked almost despondent. However this came about, it has the same ending and I feel so badly for his loved ones.
If it was a suicide, I cannot pity the "loved ones." Chances are they contributed to the circumstances that drove him to suicide. In most cases, they do.
@@theresedavis2526 everybody and each situation is entirely different. We have no way of knowing what may have contributed, it's usually a number of factors but I worked a suicide hotline and to just blurt out that it's the families fault is cruel, thoughtless and reckless! Families go through a living nightmare that they never wake up from because of mental illness which is almost always the main contributor. Yes, there are cases of abuse that can be a factor in somebody choosing to take their own life but I can tell you that many people who attempt or successfully commit suicide leave brokenness and devastation behind for the people who love them.
If you have ever been on one of these rides you would know you have to actually try and get out, this guy knew exactly what he was doing. Rest in Peace I hope you’re at peace
it wasn't a suicide, he had a backpack and was most likely planning on further visits. he was just stupid and wanted to show off. too bad darwin had an appointment with him
The guy is facing the wrong way if he'd 'slipped' under the bar. He's hanging in a way that would have been done intentionally by climbing out. The video of him not panicking or calling for help shows that was totally intentional.
That's the problem we need to let someone know we are struggling get help from anywhere talk to someone ring help lines talk to God pour your heart out to him he cares.

I'll tell you what I'm telling others who are saying that. If it was su--de, he was a selfish scumbag. He could have done it in a thousand different ways which did involve traumatizing little children.
It's sad looking at his face before he fell. He was so calm, like this was what he wanted. We're all fighting our own internal battles and we don't know what's going on with the people around us, and that's why we should be nicer to each other. Maybe what he needed was a friend for a day. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family.
I need a nice lady friend I get lonely but not the suicidal type but I play it carefully when I m riding a cable sky ride like they have there and also at SCBB..Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
He was alone on the ride. Most people have someone with them. So sad that this man may have given up and taken his own life. I pray for his family. God be the glory!
The thing is if ur gonna take urself out dont hurt someone else physically or emotionally. He could have jumped from a tree in the woods without traumatizing people including kids. I live by a highway intersection where people have waited for semis to come and then pull out in front of them at the last second. I get so angry at them for what they do to the innocent truck drivers.
This man wanted that outcome. No way he slipped hanging on like it’s nothing. He wasn’t scared at all, didn’t try to make his way back into the seat or anything.

I knew this kid in college who was walking down the street in Atlantic City, NJ. A man jumped off the top of a 12-story parking garage to his death. He landed several feet in front of where this kid was walking. This kid had so many post traumatic issues from seeing that; it really messed him up. The person committing suicide isn’t the only victim.
You are right. It's bad to bring others into it. It will probably haunt a handful of people for the rest of their lives. It's why when I tried to kill myself I did it by myself where hopefully nobody would find me.
Main reason that prevented me from doing it years ago, and the most common thought I have about it. At my worst, I still just don't want to hurt anyone but myself, so I just keep on going.

Thank you for the information but, It wasn't suicide He was drunk and was trying to attempt to do pull ups on the ride My youngest sister was operating one of the games right by the fall site where he fell. She could see him falling as well as before when he was dangling. He lost energy after the last pull up and couldn't get up. And lost grip over one of the bumps that the carts go over on the cords.
He looked WAY too calm, wasn’t asking for help… this was sadly a suicide :/ Bless this poor man, I know that pain. I’m sorry you didn’t have someone there to tell you you are worth it and meant to be here, RIP 💔

I struggle to find empathy for people who commit suicide in front of others. Thinking about the person who would find my body was the very thing that saved my life in 2006. I didn’t want to traumatize anyone.
my dad killed himself a few years ago in the shed. he was dying and in pain so he did what he had to do. he nailed the door shut and put cardboard and metal on the windows so my mom couldn't get in. the police had to open the door with a ram thing. i will always respect him for doing all that so my mother wouldn't have to see his body in that manner. he left a note and such.. what makes me mad is that people are against euthanasia for the elderly and sick who rationally wish to end their physical suffering. i have zero sympathy for healthy people who kill themselves, only their family. I feel like all this suicide hotline type shit makes people think only insane people might want to commit suicide and makes it so that many rational people who should die in a hospitial or surrounded by family and dying peacefully have to hang themselves or shoot themselves

@Shhh spongebob sleepin it’s not about the tourists. Sure, they will be traumatized but the focus is on him. It’s not his fault he felt so trapped that he had to take his own life. I agree, he should have thought through a much less public option or gotten help when he felt suicidal, but we shouldn’t blame someone who’s already dead.
More like after he realized how screwed he was. He decided to save all his energy for hanging on. Unfortunately that ride is a half hour long on it’s best days. They stop the ride briefly, and leave you with your feet dangling at times as well. I’m betting it came to a stop on that run, and he couldn’t hang on any longer.
My buddy suicided back in 2015, but he did in a isolated place where me and him used play as kids growing up. Sometimes I wondered why do people need the attention of others before committing the act? Is it because they need comfort on the last moment or need someone care and talk to them that might convince them to stop the act? RIP to this man and my late friend Jimmy!
I was thinking maybe Lagoon was somewhere this man had some of his best memories throughout his existence, so maybe he went on a few rollercoasters before his last moments and enjoyed looking at people enjoy what he once was part of in better times in his life or something. This was a suicide. He was calm because he had resolved within himself what he felt he had to do. I spoke with my brother the day before he completed a suicide in 2003. We were laughing and cutting up just like when we were kids. A few days later...I got the call. You just never know. Tell the people you love how much they mean to you. How much you love them. I started something with my sons years ago. We never ever left the presence of the other with out saying, "I love you". When texting came along same thing end your text with, "I love you." I started this with them because I wanted them to know if anything happened to the other they would know the last words they said was," I love you" Just yesterday one of my twins said, "Mom I am so glad I know the last words I said to Joshua was, "I love you bro." " You see 6 months ago, I found my oldest son Joshua dead and decomposing in his apartment. I figured he had been there for 3 Days. Joshua, my son, was murdered. The last text I sent to him ended with, " Get some rest. I'll see you on Wednesday. I love you son." Little did I know within 12 hours my son would be dead. My heart goes out to this man's family. He was passing over fountains, he may have mistakenly thought he could drop into one, no one will ever know what was going through his head.
Not a stunt. When you are doing some crazy stuff, you laugh when you see a camera around you. this guy gave no shit and face was blank too. There's some expression when you do stunts. This was more likely suicide.

I think its pretty sad so many people think this was suicide... If he was "waiting for the right heigh" then why didn't he just sit in his seat till the highest point and jump out? If you hang like that you have the risk of falling in a bad spot and not dying instantly (which is what happened, he died in the hospital). People react to life threatening situations differently, maybe he was actually waiting for the lowest point to try to save himself, so that's why he was remaining calm. Conserve energy to save yourself, if he wasn't holding on for dear life then why did he hang until he lost strength? To many holes in the suicide theory.
That's the thing. We'll never know what was going through his mind. But, knowing the dark depths of depression, it looks like he did this on purpose. Nothing was found wrong with the "car" he was in or the ride itself. I'm sure if he was able to just open the gate, he might have just done that. Maybe hanging looking around at his surroundings for the last time while remaining calm was part of it all. See, I can try to fill the holes, but no matter, we'll never truly know what this man was going through to resort to this. RIP.

He wasn't screaming for help. You could see his backpack was still sitting on the bench seat. Did he have a 'death wish' or showed really poor judgement in performing a stunt that went bad? You can only hang like that for a couple of minutes at most.
RIP dude
R..i.P dude

What strikes me is that he was alone in the car when this happened - he was apparently at the park with others in his family, but went alone. My guess is that he told others, "watch me" and tried a stunt beyond his capabilities.

That doesnt even look high enough to kill you but just mess you up, especially dropping feet first. If he was trying to kill himself that's a crazy way of doing it, and to do it at a kids theme park is an extra savage move.
All he has to do is hit his head from that height and it’s a wrap, even if he landed feet first.

RIP.
He was probably just working up the courage to let go.
