Remove Existing Ground Cover and Replaced with Rubber Mulch and Plants

Removed ice plant ground cover and transplanted some in other areas of the bank. Modified irrigation system to drip and fertilize, installed weed block and anchored with metal staple. Thank you! It looks great! I watched this video while researching to replace the wood mulch around my son’s play set with rubber mulch. This video was very helpful! I started shoveling away my wood mulch then thought…I wonder can I 1) leave the existing wood mulch 2) cover that with weed barrier 3) put the rubber mulch over step 1 and 2 🤔. Any thoughts are suggestions?
