Thank you so much! i just switched to rubber mulch. spent sooooooooooooo much money on bulk order wood mulch. Everything you said happened to me. Rubber is so much better. I was scared at first, because I thought the water would not seep through and kill the flowers. you answered all of my questions. TY!!! NO MORE WOOD!!
Have you thought of an adhesive or bond to keep the mulch in place? I was looking into it that way when I blow debris off it will stay in place. Thank you for your updates.
I have rubber mulch in my property. You don’t need any adhesive, the rubber is heavy enough that it won’t float away in heavy rain. Leaves and grass are also lighter than the rubber and won’t blow away when using a blower on low setting. Hope that helps.
People ask about it fading... if it fades does it turn gray or what? I’ve never seen tires fade as they age. I’ve been thinking about the rubber mulch for a couple of years but I definitely don’t want to have to haul it off after a few years.
I'm on my fourth year with the same mulch from Rubberific (can't speak for other brands) and have experienced zero fading. Now, this year I added more bags to fix all the landscape damage from the upgrades we did but expect the same performance.
Put rocks, they last forever, look at the oldest structures in the world, Roman pantheon, collosuim, houses, Built with rocks. Medieval castles, built with rocks

Can't you tell me were I can't get some of that project and how much.
What mulch depth did you go with?
How well does debris like fall leaves and trimmings from bushes decay? How easy are they to remove with a leaf blower?
Direct hard leaf blowing is impactful, it will bow it out of the bed
How does it do with water runoff compared to the wood mulch?
It doesn’t float like wood, so it stays in place even in a heavy rain.
