One late afternoon just this past summer, I was out in the grass circle at the end of my street talking with a neighbor. We were laughing a talking and just enjoying the cooler temps of the late afternoon. We notice a sheriff drive by our road about three times before he turns to confront us. We were expecting some small talk with this officer maybe him looking for some information about the unruly neighbor a street over from us. The sheriffs first words are "what are you guys doing out here" his tone was all wrong, I'm in my 50's and my neighbor is in his early 40s. Then he preceded to say "we got a call about a disturbance" I knew this was a lie. Neighbor says "we haven't seen or heard any disturbance" then came "where do you guys live?" I blurted out "I live in the moment " being the smart ars I am. Then came the ID request. I didst have my wallet and told him even if I had it he wouldn't see it. "Well when we get a call we have to ID the subjects" I let him know I am no subject to any man. And if they really had a call to report us it would be recorded correct. He didn't answer. Did you really get a call because we know law enforcement is allowed to lie to civilians. To that my neighbor and I resumed our conversation completely ignoring this idiot. He even faked called in for backup and transport for 2 individuals. He would ask us something and we never acknowledged further. After about 5 more minutes he yelped his siren a couple of times and drove off. We just busted out laughing. We waited untill he drove out the main entrance before going inside. He was just flexing his perceived authority. Spoke with a sheriff buddy of mine a few weeks later, it seems that deputy has a reputation for making questionable stops. My question to my buddy "why won't anybody confront him?" No answer

@@Montana-3 I agree with you to some extent, I think the issue occured when the officer was refused I'd. Officers are trained to take control of situations and id refusal breaks their programming. They feel (perhaps) civilians deserve no privacy. If we as a free people do not exercise our constitutional rights, we will lose them. I applaud everyone that sacrifices their safety and freedom when they stand up to unlawful orders. I completely support all of the 1st amendment auditors out there who flex our rights. I even support the auditors that I find disgusting and behave poorly, it teaches police that they are not always going to be treated fairly and in that th err y can learn a valuable lesson. I don't hate police and most of my interactions with law enforcement are benign. However I've been threatened on my own commercial property by a state trooper for asking him to leave my parking lot. I "lost" my truck when it broke down as my boyfriend andvi were doing layndry, store, errands. My boyfriend was walking to a friend's house who had a tow truck to help us move my vehicle, I was stopped by Daytona Beach Florida cops and told I was under arrest for DUI. I wasn't driving, I was outside the vehicle, I was on crutches having just had knee surgery 3 days prior and my boyfriend had been driving. The officer yanked my crutches out from under me telling me I had to perform field sobriety tests, causing me to stumble, which caused me to rip the staples in my knee as a result. My knee was killing me, bleeding down my leg, i couldn't perform those tests because i couldn't walk without my crutches, I was taken to jail (stated i refused the field sobriety tests) my truck was towed and by the time my boyfriend got back to where my truck broke down (drive shaft fell out at a stop light), both myself and my truck weren't there, I wasn't allowed to call anyone, in the holding cell phones were turned off and I continued to ask to call my boyfriend to let him know what was going on and was never allowed my phone call. I was threatened to get tazed if I didn't stop bothering them because I wasn't getting to use the phone, as I was told; until after 1st appearance the next morning. I'm diabetic and when I informed the officers of this fact and I needed to get something to eat, again I was threatened to get tazed. End result charges were dropped, but no one could seem to remember or know which company they called to tow my truck and by the time I did find where it was the fees were so high I couldn't get it back, lost my job, as a direct result ended up getting evicted because I lived outside of the public transportation areas and couldn't get to work (my truck was the only vehicle between myself and boyfriend). NEVER got my vehicle back, all of our laundry was in the back, our groceries lost. Could not find an attorney that would help either. Florida make up individual rules as they go along. This was in 2004, Volusia County.

Never give them a damned thing unless you are lawfully ARRESTED.....
NO OBLIGATION to identify unless lawfully arrested, Brown v Texas, 4th and 5th and state law.
AND IF LAWFULLY ARRESTED, the RIGHT to REMAIN SILENT INVOKES.....
NO OBLIGATION to answer questions per:
Watts v. Indiana, 338 U.S. 49 (1949), was a United States Supreme Court case in which Justice Robert Jackson famously opined, "To bring in a lawyer means a real peril to solution of the crime because, under our adversary system, he deems that his sole duty is to protect his client-guilty or innocent-and that, in such a capacity, he owes no duty whatever to help society solve its crime problem. Under this conception of criminal procedure, any lawyer worth his salt will tell the suspect in no uncertain terms to make no statement to police under any circumstances."
In this case, a defendant was subjected to rigorous interrogation methods, including being forced to sleep on the floor, resulting in a confession to having committed murder. The Supreme Court ruled that the confession was involuntary and reversed his conviction.
      Terry v Ohio 392 U.S. 1
"Of course, the person stopped is not obliged to answer, answers may not be compelled and refusal to answer furnishes no basis for an arrest, although it may alert the officer to the need for continued observation."
“The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that refusal to answer law enforcement questions cannot form the basis of reasonable suspicion. See Florida v. Bostick, 501 U.S. 429, 437, 111 S. Ct. 2382, 115 L.Ed.2d 389 (1991) ("We have consistently held that a refusal to cooperate, without more, does not furnish the minimal level of objective justification needed for a detention or seizure.") - U.S. v. If one of our sons or daughters were murdered or raped, we wouldn't mind if they ask possible perpetrators for Ids or if they frisk them; all we want is justice.
Law-abiding citizens are not afraid of handling Ids to the police; perpetrators do because that's how they are caught; they have warrants, are fugitives, evade child support, are drug dealers, etc.

No, sir, we do not need individuals acting under color of law, appearing as military decked out in weapons, targeting and victimizing us. Inconveniencing them, detaining them at length and often arresting them if only to immediately release them once booked, just so they can tow their vehicles (and do a inventory search and find something to add to their charges). "you can go with the programme and ID or you will be put in handcuffs" Another one was " for suspicion we'll use stalking or burglary, how about that" in an area where there's no people or buildings !!!!!!! How is this justified ? 3 cops, armed to the teeth, harrassing a citizen for breaking down and quietiy waiting for his tow truck, all because of the heinous crime of exercising his rights by not showing his papers that the law backs him on. The fact that all this was instigated by a sargeant, who should know the ID laws inside out purely by the fact he has 3 stripes, is contemptable and the actual law had nothing to do with it. I bet all 3 ended up in their local bar that night getting free drinks, high fiving each other on what they did to this innocent member of the public in the land of the free.

In order to confirm the vehicles rightful owner they needed the mans identification, why you ask, simple, because Anyone can beak into a car and rifle through the glove box to see the name of the owner on the insurance form. so now how does the officers confirm the information of registration, through the individuals drivers license of course, gee why didn't I think if that.

You have Police on power trips seeking to seize money. Even risking lives doing no knock raids thinking it will give them an advantage taking the money they believe someone has.
At the end of the day, they think they are doing a thing good. When the truth is they are degrading society. They target victims. Then use those victims to go after other victims.
If someone is taking advantage of someone thru loan sharking you don't go after the person that got taken advantage of, you go after the person taken advantage of them. So why do they go after victims of other things that aren't legal? They might try to say those things increase the odds of someone committing a crime. But, there is no guarantee they will. It's just lazy going after them before that.
Going after victims the way they do also increases someone's odds of committing a crime. It makes things so much worse than they should be. I've seen good people die because they think they are scum & don't want anyone to find out they became (a victim) the scum they believe they have become. I even offered to do everything I could so they could keep this secret.
Things wouldn't be as bad if they were viewed for what they are. This would automatically decrease the current level of victims, because a good bit would just stay "Nothing". Now we have a good bit of things skipping that nothing stage & making victims.
I really can't believe that no one has realized this long before now. It's the belief that things are bad. When things can't be bad. They can be used in good or bad ways. Believing a thing is bad is silly. Something "Bad" comes from what we do as people. Things can never be bad. Just the way we choose to use them can be.

The Former officer's...letter to a Auditor.
As a former officer (who has learned a lot from 1st Amendment Activists) I believe that what you are doing is long overdue. I have been watching all of you guys for a long time, and there are times when I see myself in the young officers who make fools of themselves for your cameras. Twenty years ago in my academy we didn't really spend much time on civil rights, which I see now is a shame.
For the most part police officers are out there every night largely unsupervised, and for generations we have all been taught to "listen to the police". This combination is just one of the reasons that police misconduct and abuse is so common. It has happened over time, and we are used to it, and we just blindly obey without protest while our civil rights continue to be violated.
Actually, many people arent even aware that police are violating their civil rights!...and so it goes unreported. Many times the police arent even aware they're in violation. They have learned the behavior from FTO's (Field Training Officers), and they are following the examples set by older officers who have learned it the same way for generations. It has never been questioned, and is now basically unwritten policy .
I hope you will keep filming and bringing attention to these injustices. I really believe that you all are making a difference. Your videos are informative for both the police AND citizens. We all benefit from your work. When you hold up a mirror to police and they see themselves blatantly disregarding civil rights, being overbearing, unnecessarily confrontational, and just plain rude it forces them to take a hard look at themselves through our eyes. And I think most of them time, whether they immediately show it or not, they dont like what they see, and it may change how they conduct themselves on their next interaction, and the next, etc.
It took decades of abuse, ignorance, and blind-eyes for the system to become this mangled. Now that you (and others like you) are putting a spotlight on it for the world to see I believe change is inevitable.

The Former officer's...letter to a Auditor.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Former Cop's...letter to a Former officer.
Former cop from Kansas City. I couldn't agree more. I can honestly say that many of these cops do not even realize how many of their regular practices are improper to illegal... When I came onto the job in the 90's, demanding id from nearly everyone was the standard, everyday thing to do...Older, experienced cops did it, so did I... Pretextual car stops that were mainly about running everyones name, passengers too...
Searched every car we could...pulled people out of cars...cuffed people "just for my safety"... and all that bullcrap and a bag of chips..
Im not proud of it... I justified it to myself because i worked in a high crime inner city that was in the throes of a savage crack problem and also breaking its homicide record..

Everything i did was rationalized by somehow connecting it to my "safety" which WAS not bs... Ive survived a great many violent encounters involving someone legitimately trying to hurt me or worse..
Im feeling inspired... When i find the balls, i plan on getting a gopro and trying to do a little auditing of my own...partially to cleanse my conscience, but also because I'm older and more humble now and I want to be part of this movement in hopes that preserving and defending the constitution becomes the normal thing.
I think there needs to be a sweeping, nationwide effort to retrain every single cop in America on constitutional law....especially the 1st. 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 14th amendments.. Like seriously....send them ALL to a comprehensive in-service and make them pass relevant, real world tests before they can answer calls.
I want to audit, but I know that being former law enforcement will probably get me labeled a turncoat and put a target on me.. I would be good at it though....ive been on both sides.

.This is THE CREW PT 2
Your 4 or 5 camera drivers will proceed to their assigned spots a few minutes before the fun begins. These are spots that are away from the location chosen and hidden as much as possible from view but not in a way or position that would cause an alert to be sent out to anyone for any reason. These “Spots” Must be Public Domain and Public Property and must be able to be seen from the chosen location and visa-versa. That’s the purpose of cameras with Tele-Foto zoom lenses.
Be Sure to Put Black Electrical Tape over all the Camera Cue Lights. Ya’no those red flashing lights on the camera that shows you’re recording. Use cameras with nothing at all in the memory. No personal phones with any info in them. Everyone is in place, all equipment is working properly, radio checks thru the head sets, EVERYONE KNOWS TO STAY FOCUSED ON THE IDIOT. Roll Cameras, The IDIOT arrives and proceeds to do his or her thing which is shooting video/ pictures from a Public Domain/ Public Property area of whatever the camera/person can see. THIS IS A TOTALLY LEGAL ACTIVITY PROTECTED BY THE US CONSTITUTION AND US SUPREME COURT, A Totally Legal activity of anything you can see from a public Domain/Public Property area. At this point, I should mention that no matter what happens during the next critical time period the CREW should stay put. NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, STAY WHERE YOU ARE AND CONCENTRATE ON THE INSTANT ISSUE AND THAT IS SHOOTING THE VIDEO OF WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH THE INTERACTIONS OF THE COPS AND THAT IDIOT. Basically, the Crew should NEVER let anyone know of the CREW and the Crew should Never say anything except to the attorneys.
When the authorities arrive, THE IDIOT, all wired up for wireless microphones as in 2, body cam and hand held cam, should be ready to stand his ground and be as antagonistically polite as possible within the boundaries of the law. If possible, know the state statutes that apply to your location, situation and get busy. The Idiot has the Constitution on his side so a 1st Amendment to Freedom of Speech means YOU can basically say Anything you want to the cops. And I mean ANYTHING. Each situation is different so basically keep your mouths shut, don’t even acknowledge their, the authorities, presents. They will do the rest. They will either be obliged to “Kick Rocks” or “Kick Idiot”. Remember the more the IDIOT gets the shit kicked out of him the more money they will have to bark up. Remember the cops/authorities are Criminals, Illiterate Fools, Jerks, Assholes, Dumbed Down Americans, Power Hungry Dick Heads, Corrupt Gun Toting THUGS, and TYRANTS and they will prove it in their actions. Just wait, watch and see for yourself.
The worse it gets the better for the IDIOT and the Crew and the attorneys. Who knows, The IDIOT, may end up with a broken leg, arm, ruptured spleen, broken ribs and punctured lung, pissing blood for a month, black eyes, broken jaw, ruptured eardrum, dick kneed up into yer asshole, concussion, contusions, second and third circumcision, but remember, You’ll get over all that when the check comes wire transfered into your bank account. As the action plays out with the Idiot and the cops the Crew will just concentrate on the VIDEO and AUDIO action all the way to the end. That will be determined by the injuries to the Idiot. He will either get handcuffed to the gurney as he goes to the hospital of just cuffs into the back of the cop car spitting blood while his eye is hanging on his cheek. Long after the cops have lied in statements and police reports, have completed with misrepresentations and embellishments to everyone, and the Mayor and the Prosecutor all have made their false statements, embellished accounts to various news media.
The Chief of Police or The Sheriff have made their BS Statements to the media. The cops have all slapped each other on the back a hundred times. Then the real story comes out thru the attorneys that represent the Idiot and Crew members, thru a leaked video and short story about the incident to the local and national news media. If and When you end up in court, little chance of that happening, cuz’a’outa court settlement will happen way before any trial happens, the verdict will be in Your Favor because the judge will have your 7 good quality video camera angles with excellent quality audio showing the TRUE COLORS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT. The best part is they brought it on themselves, luckily there were 7 cameras watching. Your attorneys will have a field day in court with the CREW'S good video and audio work. The cops, Criminals On Patrol, will get their just rewards by being disgraced, fired, bad press for their law enforcement department, divorced from wife or husband, Gay cops too, kids will hate daddy forever, illegal drug use and alcohol abuse follows, Jail and/or Prison, no more guns as they have been charged and convicted of a felony and hopefully Prison, or possibly Suicide. Good riddance to bad cops.
If there was 10,000 Crews all around the country doing this in every major city, small towns, National Parks, and almost anywhere there are Gun toting law enforcement/ criminals on patrol and with insurance claims against the cops/taxpayers in the hundreds of Millions of Dollars happening every week then the cops will be put in their place. If this is done right just about EVERY SITUATION YOU SET UP FOR WILL SHOW THE COPS WALK RIGHT INTO A MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT. YOU could MAKE THE CREW A FULL TIME JOB and travel state to state gathering a bunch of lawsuits, they'll settle out of court IF YOU HAVE THE PROPER AUDIO AND VIDEO. You will have to hire a legal staff for all the paperwork coming from the courthouse. Laws will change. Qualified Immunity disappears, The cops will have to be nice for a change. I still won’t trust them. COPS/ AUTHORITIES IN GENERAL ARE THE ENEMY OF THE CITIZENS/ PEOPLE.

    • @jazzridez
      @jazzridez Год назад +2

I'm gonna give this to ya. THE CREW PT 1.
OK folks here’s how ya do this 1st Amendment Audit thing as far as I can see it. Gather up 5 or 6 friends with BALLS and NO FEAR that want to have some fun and possibly end up with a bunch of money for your efforts. Then gather up some money to purchase 7 good quality video cameras, with telephoto and steady cam imagery, with night vision if possible, 4 cell phones, 2 body cameras, with extra batteries for all cameras, 3 wireless mics and 2 audio headsets, a couple tripods, 3 wireless microphones, a parabolic microphone for long distance audio recording and plenty of SD cards for plenty of recorded video memory and 4 Voice Activated radio communications headsets works great too. You can whisper to each other to better stay informed. Your “Crew” may or may not have any experience at “driving a camera”, that means operating a camera under many different situations with excellent resulting video.
For instance: standing still, walking slow, walking fast, running, holding a camera at different elevations and aiming cameras at different things you can’t see and you understanding what the camera sees even though you are not looking at the view finder. You don’t have to look at the viewfinder, the camera will see what you aim it at. If you’re good you’ll even get the necessary Light, Frame and Focus in these actions and positions without even thinking about it because it comes naturally. You want the best recording possible so proper Lighting of the subject matter is Very Important, Framing of the subject or item of interest is also Very Important and Focus of the well-lit area of interest, at night under a street light is as good as you’re going to get and Framed subject matter is Most Important with as little camera shaking and movement as possible
The Crew should watch a bunch of videos of cop block, Audit the Audit, Bay Area Transparency, Direct D, and other 1st Amendment Auditors videos, there’s a bunch of’em and any other confrontations with the cops that others have shot and posted. Critique their videos and make the driving of your camera skills better than theirs. Always remember, even in tricky situations, LIGHT, FRAME and FOCUS. I’ll say it again, ALWAYS REMEMBER TO KEEP THE ACTION COVERED, DON’T LOSE ATTENTION OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING. THE CAMERA, REMEMBER THE CAMERA. LIGHT, FRAME, FOCUS. You may miss a split second of video that turns out the be very important. This next step may take some time but it is the most valuable and most important issue. Driving the camera. That’s camera operation.
Get the Crew together and go out and practice walking, forward and backward, over your shoulder of what’s behind you, running, holding the camera at different angles, over your shoulder shooting backwards as you walk forward, like from behind a wall or fence with the camera as the only thing above the wall as you are hidden behind the wall. The camera will be hard to see but you may be easy to see. After practicing a dozen times or more, Watch the Playback and hone your camera driving skills to the point you are good at it and your Playback meets a certain criterion. Remember Light, Frame, Focus. You Tube viewers will appreciate a good quality video of the IDIOT getting the shit kicked out of him by the cops. When you think you have it down pretty good and you think you’re ready, formulate a plan. Pick a location for an exercise. Draw straws, flip a coin or do what you have to do to get a volunteer from your Crew to be the, for lack of a better term, “IDIOT”
. That person will be the guy or girl? to go into harm's way. 4 or 5 of your Crew will get set up in different spots for the best camera angles of the chosen location. Someone should be aware of what you’re doing and be, for instance, at home, waiting for the phone call. Just a necessary precaution for the Crews benefit. A lawyer on retainer with his 24 hours phone number, WATCHING THE LIVE STREAM TOO, wouldn’t hurt, is a good thing to have ready too. Go get acquainted with a bail bondsman. Have one or 2 of them on retainer. Be sure to park any transportation you came in a few blocks away in a legal area away from the chosen location so it can’t be towed for being parked illegally, a car of a friend not associated with the CREW would work too.Make sure your vehicle has been cleaned inside and out of anything that can be construed as a weapon, dope, anything and wiped down of all fingerprints. Better yet have someone drop you off like uber.

He was off duty and riding his BMW bike.
I was in line at the Poway Costco when a person on a motorcycle decided he had the right to cut to the front of the line. I wasn’t about to let this lack of decency go unchallenged. I got out of my car and calmly asked him why did he think he had the right to cut to the front of the line in disregard of so many others that had been waiting inline. I then went back to my vehicle. He then identified himself as a sheriff deputy He then decided to inspect my vehicle for licensing. All I can say is these type persons are attracted to police work. He would have given me a ticket but was clearly off duty and had been called out for his entitled behavior which could only backfire on him.

Precisely the same thing happened to me with NYPD. Result: Jail. NYPD simply jailed me when I refused to show them my papers.
For the Americans, nothing will improve. In fact, things will continually get worse! I voted with my feet and moved out of the USA altogether. Best decision of my life.
Here on Nature Island the police extremely helpful. One time our truck got a flat tire. We did not have the special tool to remove the unique lug nut. The Marigot Police chief came out in his silk tie, shined shoes, essentially his Sunday best, and with his tool box worked hard and long until he had changed that tire!
Here the Police do not hide - like road pirates - collecting fines! We experience this unique concept for which the Americans have no idea - It’s called FREEDOM!
True Story some years back while living in NYC: I was leaving a grocery story with a couple bags of groceries when I was stopped by NYPD. They wanted to 'see my papers', and to assure I was an innocent and good law-abiding citizen.
I asked them if they were investigating a crime; or if they had any reason to suspect I was involved in a crime. They said, "No"; and, that they were merely doing these 'random checks'.
Unfortunately, my attempt to explain to NYPD that the US Constitution states that government must assume citizens are innocent and that I had a right to be left unmolested merely brought about their laughter and the handcuffs.
My next stop was a very, very crowded jail cell! I swear it was nearly identical to NYC jail cell situation Charles Bronson found himself in during the movie, Death Wish 3! [I posted the video of this phony arrest and named it “Nazi NYPD”]
Despite the fact I do not drink - I mean I drink absolutely nothing ever - on numerous occasions NYPD has forced me out of my car, paraded me around like some perp, and forced me to take a Breathalyzer. Again, under the idea NYPD has that everyone must continually prove their innocence.
Likewise, it is common practice by NYPD to force you into bag searches if you ride the subway. These can be scary because under NY law, if they deem some object you have in your bag 'could' be used as a weapon - a sharp pencil perhaps - you will be charged with felony weapon possession.
They run the city much like a prison. You are not permitted to protect yourself. They don't care who started the altercation, everyone goes to jail. The people are on their camera everywhere; license plates and movement data are continually collected; the mayor sent out a phone App and asked everyone to rat out anyone they see violating any his illegal lockdown policies; the city uses communication interception devices, DNA checkpoints, identity cards, facial scanning devices and biometrics, vast software and data collection machines (e.g., Boundless Informant and Flawmill, Five Eyes network & Bluffdale cloud, Prism software, Pegasus spyware, etc.), to support their extensive surveillance & profiling of the people like a giant peeping-Tom. Meanwhile, City Governments are now paying to tune into your phone app home video surveillance cameras! [1]
The USA was founded on the principle that the individual is guaranteed freedom from harassment, sovereignty, and the right to privacy.
Those principles are enumerated in the Constitution.
Today however, all the provisions of the US Constitution are cancelled for the first time since the birth of the nation! Therefore, at this time, we have no rule of law! The one with the most money or power reigns supreme above all else!
In fact, the US Government can arrest you for any reason - OR NO REASON - and lock you up indefinitely without trial!
Moreover, the US Government can, and does, torture now!
I don’t want any police. I want the right to take care of myself! NYPD is nothing short of the Nazi Gestapo! Sadly, the people just sit there and ‘take it’ without objection. TSA lines, lockdowns and the prison system the American’s live in will get worse! Therefore, I voted with my feet and left the USA for good. Best decision of my life!

A mere 14 NYPD officers have been sued 87 times!
Many of the cops are guilty of false arrests. Of the 627 arrests Officer Chau was involved in, records show 393 were dismissed, or 63%.
“New Yorkers should not be policed by cops who have been sued for misconduct half a dozen times or more in a single year," said Corey Stoughton, attorney-in-charge of the Special Litigation Unit of the Criminal Defense Practice at The Legal Aid Society.
"What’s worse is that because of Police Secrecy Law 50a, New Yorkers will never be able to learn how, if at all, the NYPD is responding to this epidemic of police abuse of power,” added Stoughton, referring to the state law which the city has interpreted as barring the release of police personnel records, including discipline cases.

'Wow' Frightening, What do you live in a basement, Don't get out much do you, If you think these officers doing their jobs is frightening please do not Ever come to America. I can understand more so your comments than the others on here, who live in the U.S. and are merely showing their gross ignorance of the law.
These officers are in fact acting in accordance to their state statutes and are in fact simply doing their job to identify the man in question, Under the color of law it is their Job to make contact with individuals on a regular basis and it is not uncommon in the greatest majority of these cases for them to ask for identification.
These Officers were not misbehaving or acting in a manner outside the scope of their duties, by asking for his identification, the car is broke down, ok so how do the officers know if this person owns this car? how do they know if he did not steal it, or that he was taking items from a car he found broke down on the side of the road? how do the officer know that this person was involved in a violent domestic case and has the body of his wife or girlfriend in the trunk of the car? the answer is simply they do not.
1.It has been my experience from working in the Law and Law Enforcement fields that Only Criminals tend to have a problem identifying themselves to Law Enforcement when asked. Regular law abiding citizens have never taken issue with providing identification when requested when it was being asked for by the officers while in the performance of their duties and while conducting field investigations or field interviews, also in the U.S. it does not matter where you live or in which state you reside, it is required by Law to varying degrees to Provide identification to law enforcement when requested, it is not optional, this is for the Officers to know who they are speaking with and to know that who they are talking to are not wanted criminals or fugitives wanted in other jurisdictions.
      2. Did you stop to think for one second that the man causing the issue by refusing to provide his identification could be a wanted murderer, rapist, child molester, drug dealer, kidnapper or a fugitive fleeing from justice from another state or country, and that his refusal to cooperate when asked for identification was to prevent the Law Enforcement Officers from finding out his true identity. what if he had stolen the car from another town, it happens on a regular basis in the U.S. and in every town big and small, criminals break the law and the last thing they want is to be caught.
I have a couple of friends from Australia living here in the U.S. and two are police officers 1 in New York and the Other in Houston and they will tell you the same exact thing, failure to provide identification when asked will land you in jail.
For others who do not know or study the law including the woman who posted this video there are not just state laws but a federal law as well that requires immediate identification when requested by law enforcement which is found under the 2004 patriot act. in fact any law enforcement agency in the U.S. can lawfully detain anyone for up to 3 days or 72 hours for the purpose of identifying any person being held who has refused to provide their identification upon request. and that's just for refusing to show their identification to law enforcement when asked, this does not include any additional charges for obstructing and impeding officers in the performance of their duties.

One thing that comes to mind that I didn't see addressed further - the cops said they got a call. But it's the middle of nowhere. He says no houses or buildings were in view. So...did anyone drive by before the cops showed up??? If not, then the chances that they "got a call" seems very unlikely. Any calls & radio communications can be FOIA requested to see if there really was a call, or if the cops just showed up by chance. May not be relevant in a lawsuit, but it's something I'd be interested to know.

what law? those "cops" are not a government entity. The only issue here is the people that still don't realize these 2 things.
      1) the police operate from city ordinances and codes. which are not in line with the constitution because of the fact they don't get enacted by the general assembly on the state level to make any of the "laws" they use valid. This is easily proven in every state constitution requiring a valid law to be enacted.
      2) the United States Of America declared bankruptcy in 1933. in doing so the politicians created a cooperation fiction called "THE UNITED STATES". this is who the cops work for, a corporation. they have no jurisdiction over us unless you accept the contracts they trick people into accepting. they do not follow the constitution. They get their jurisdiction from a city ordinance and prosecute you in a fake municipal court with BAR-appointed fake judges. last i checked all lower courts get their jurisdiction from the higher courts and real judges get elected by the people. People need to wake up and research it. everything i just mentioned is backed by facts publicly available.

you dont need deep pockets. just deep knowledge. The lawyers, cops and judges all are on the same team. Thats why these people are having trouble with lawsuits on these corrupt cops. the lawyers are helping them and saying cops have qualified immunity. in order for the to be immune to civil litigation, they have to qualify for it. When they act illegally breaking constitutional laws. then they do not qualify and you most certainly can sue them. I know because I'm suing a lawyer, a judge and the state in federal court right now and they haven't dismissed because the facts don't lie and are undisputable. but even if they do dismiss it then I will object, recuse that judge and add that judge to my lawsuit for trying to protect his buddy and continue on with my lawsuit in a higher court. you have to do it yourself on the federal level. the lawyer will act like he's helping you until you're broke, then the case will get dropped because they are the same people and will never give you a fair shot .
