- In this episode of The Simpsons Theory, we look at the Simpsons character Sherri and Terri's missing twin. I go into this Simpsons mystery and find out this dark secret. Watching through every Simpsons episode I investigate these strange Simpsons characters. From the Simpsons season 1 to the newest season 33.

I would kill for a storyline with this character where she befriends Lisa and talks about how she can’t live up to expectations of being like Sherri and Terri who are mean while she is quirky and yet kind hearted. If she ever gets a name it should be Carie.

it's kind of amazing that Simpsons has 30+ seasons, and there's still ideals like this which could easily fill 2-3 episodes alone.
You would kill for a storyline?! Wow that seems kinda of extreme.
It could be that Sheri and Teri actually have a younger sister who resembles them but is not identical to them and is in Lisa's class. Perhaps she is shy and retiring because of living in Sherri & Teri's shadow or maybe she is plotting her revenge!
This is actually very interesting. "Carrie" could've been significantly smaller and had to spend time in NICU. The twins wouldn't have known and thus bonded closer as twins. Then when the triplet was healthy enough to go home the twins reject her (fits with their mean streak). Thus the triplet is in Lisa's class and the Doctors statement
I love this. My guess is that because conjoined triplets are EXTREMELY rare and don't have good outcomes, Carrie was underdeveloped so they kept her home longer for her special needs so they wouldn't be accused of failure to thrive.
lol I stand corrected. I thought Jerri would be the only possible name but Carrie also works.
Everyone saying Carrie. I know the name as Kerry. Or Kerri to fit the spelling.
The ideas in the RUclips comments sections are more interesting than what the actual writers of the show come up with.
I remember hearing a theory that they were originally triplets called Stacey, Tracey and Macey

I heard they were originally going to be Manny, Mo and Jack but the creators did not want the triplets stealing any of Bart's thunder.
It's probably Mary. But with an Y. That is why they hated her and become their shadows
Before even watching, I'm suddenly deeply curious about something... Twins trying to pass as each other, or one individual altogether, is already a fairly common sitcom gag and someone might come to expect it. But what about triplets trying to pass as twins? Or quadruplets, why not? lol

Something I never realised was how pale their skin is in comparison to the rest of the characters in the show. As well as I've never knew about them having the second name Mackleberry.
Wendell has a similarly pale skin tone, likely due to how sickly he is, but I agree, that adds to the twins' creepiness

The doctor at 2:54 says "They RECENTLY learned they were once two thirds of conjoined triplets."
I would guess that maybe their parents kept Sherri and Terri, but gave "Carrie" up. Maybe because she didn't want three kids, or maybe the possible developmental issues you brought up were too much for them to handle. That would also explain why in the clip where they're messing with Marge the blanket their mom is making is all about twins and not triplets. It would also explain why Carrie would be out for revenge. She's angry for being given up, and mad because why her and not Sherri and Terri.

In all fairness in triplets two are usually identical twins. Two eggs get fertilized (would be fraternal twins) then one splits (identical). That makes 3.
Carrie should be spelled with an ie to represent how she’s different from Terri and Sherri. Love the theory!
Yes they most definitely have that whole creepy twin thing going. Maybe they have some type of power of the Hydra, you cut one and two more will appear.

I remember when I was little, I thought that Sheri and Teri were a year apart in age because I only saw one in Lisa's class. Then, being further confused when they both appeared to be Barr's age... (Yes, I was very young and didn't understand how twins worked) lol
I can actually support the slower development. When my sister and I were born, I was further developed than her and she had to stay in the hospital for a week longer than me

Fact- Sherri is named after the trifle and Terri is named after the inventor of the chocolate orange.
Sherri and Terri should honestly get their own episode.

Now that the Simpsons has there shit together and are making better episodes, this would be amazing for them to address in a dedicated episode. They’re making serious episodes, and being outcast from your family is a serious enough topic for them to address.

That scene at 6:12 has been bothering me for years! When the kids are walking through the power plant and one of the twins doesn't have a body and is just a floating head
Interesting Theory. I never really thought about it, Just thought that it could be fun to get their timeline some time, but now I think, it could be possible, and it does make sense, that Carrie(obvious name; I thought about it too, before you said it) is underdevelopted and was held back, and that her sisters might have bullied her for it.
This is why this channel is awesome. I learn new things every episode. Plus I never get bored with the simpsons

Maybe the triplet is in Lisa’s grade but not in Miss Hoover’s class. There are usually way more than one class in a year group/grade

That would be an interesting twist on the naming scheme based on the movie as it could be a Treehouse of Horrors episode. Other possibilities for her name would be Berry/Barri/Berri, Cherry, or Mary.

1. Picking 7 Simpsons characters each one representing 1 of the 7 deadly sins of your choice
2. The kids of cletus and brandine are actually inbreed children

This could be a cool Treehouse of Horror episode (though it might end up just being a rehash of "The Thing and I" from Treehouse VII). A potential title could be "Two's Company, Three's a Crowd".

i remember this one episode where Bart has to take a test to save Springfield Elem. and when Sherri & Terri are split apart, their skin becomes wrinkly and old.

Better evidence than I expected. I can account for the undeveloped one and why the third twin is out for revenge. Sherri and Terri swapped their missing triplet for her clone from Shelbyville. It was probably less work than chaining her in the attic and feeding her a bucket of fish heads.
one of my fave twins gags comes from the Simpsons episode Bonfire of the Manatees where Marge looses her memory she goes speed dating and meets her perfect guy. This man has twin brothers too they are like male dopplegangers of Patty and Selma but smoke cigars but they used to be quintuplets but the three brothers drowned and they try to come onto Patty and Selma and tell them to take a hike!

Carl Barks would sometimes accidentally draw and extra "triplet" along with Huey, Dewey, and Louie in his Disney duck comics. And in DuckTales, which were based on Barks' comics, the triplets are played by the same actress that voiced Sherri and Terri (and Martin) on The Simpsons.

Wow..so cool theory...and I think youre bang on. They show is known for secret consistencies like this. Cool u notice it, and it is VERY viable, a thrird in the triplets have a less developed triplet in the lower grade.

I have another theory that might Interest you. That Willie could be a member of the MI6 British Agency. Think about it, Why does he live in a shack in an Elementary school in an Isolated Town? He Sometimes want to keep to himself. He fought a wolf and won. He even lensed Skinner a supercar to take to orlando.
I once joked about him being a retired James Bond since they've made such a point to nail in they're all from Scotland lol

I’m a triplet, whilst I knew this my whole life I didn’t meet my other sister for years because I was told she was stillborn. And myself and other sister, who I grew up with, was always referred to as twins, again despite knowing we were actually triplets. Very recently we found out our sister was not stillborn but instead given up because our parents could not afford 3 children (plus our older brother, who I am very close to but my ‘twin’ sister is not). My ‘twin’ sister and I have never been close, whilst we did use the fact we were ‘twins’ to mess with people, we still never actually got along and it’s only gotten worse in recent years. My sister, who only met recently, and I hit it off immediately and already extremely close. Not only do we look exactly alike (more so than me and my ‘twin’) but we also had very similar childhood experiences despite not growing up together. She is also already very close to my brother but not my other sister, just like I am. We are pretty much the same person and I’m so happy and lucky to have her. I’ve always felt a hole missing in my life and I feel like I have finally found it.
And no, we don’t play tricks on anyone. Whist this maybe fun, we are almost adults and see no reason to. We are both the same AND a different person. This maybe hard to understand so I’ll simplify it: we are almost the exact same in terms of looks, personalities, opinions and experiences which we love and adore about each other however we still want to be seen a two different individuals and have different outlets (such as workplaces, social media and social groups - although these sometimes interweave if we want them to, the only one that doesn’t is relationships. Our only difference is our sexualities, I’m gay and she is asexual, and we would never share a partner). Not that it means anything, I am the middle triplet and my sister is the oldest and my ‘twin’ is the youngest.

Sherri, Terri and Mary? The "twins" were adopted by one family and Mary by another. Mary's family moved to Springfield and are unaware of the other two girls.
