Why does this video not have up to a million view alredy. This is the most detailed and clear engine oil change video i have watched. Now i am confident to change my oil myself tomorrow.
I use Blueprint oil filters and Magnatec 5W-30 for the last 2 yrs.I used to use Comma Xflow 10W-30 at £2.70 for 5L and cheaper oil filters at £2.70 from Wheels motor factors until 2 years ago then i used Magnatec 5W-30 at £26 for 4L.Made my engine so much quieter.I do short trips/journeys so the Magnatec is perfect for the job.Nice and clear video by the way.
Detailed video with clear instructions👍. Just one update on the oil capacity of the 1zzfe. There was a TSB from toyota in 2008 that updated the oil required to 4 litres without filter and 4.2 litres with filter.
Did anyone notice engine is supposed to take 4QT approximately, however, Peter empties what looks like a brand new 5QT jug into the engine. LOL Maybe the jug only had 4 in it.
I swear toyota is one of the only car makers that put their oil filters in easy to reach places. iv had mazda and a ford and their oil filter locations sucked but iv had 2 toyotas and they were in easy places
Thanksful very excellent record with explain, please upload more about this controls 2005 DIY maintainance clip ,let us able to doing the save and clean project our own car .
Dang i am actually surprised how easy it is to perform oil changes yourself, instead of paying some random place like jiffylube like 100 dollars for an oil change
I do it every 5000 KM on a 2004 Corolla. I like to keep the oil clean for the VVT Toyota recommends every 5,000 or 7,500 mile intervals. www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/omms-s/T-MMS-04CorollaMatrix/pdf/2004_Corolla_Matrix_WMG.pdf
Not sure why the US seems to recommend oil changes more often. In the UK it's been 1 year or 10-12k miles for a long time and no one gets oil related problems.
@@bobsoft We have a 2009 RAV4 I've read the owner's manual and service schedule. I don't remember seeing anything in there other than 5,000 mile service/oil change intervals? Maybe I missed something? And yes Toyota is slow to change it. A 2002 Honda CR-V was every 10,000 miles.
I have 2006 Corolla with the same engine and 166000 Kilometers or 103330 Miles on the odometer. On my recent trip from Vancouver B.C. to the Bay Area, I made over 5100 Kilometers or 3100 Miles and roughly 3400 Kilometers or 2100 Miles were made on Hwy Interstate 5. Total consumption of motor oil was 100 Milliliters or 0.105 US liquid quart. That is 2.27 % of almost 4.4 Liters or 4.6 US liquid quart. Yes, I always manage to squeeze out that much oil lifting the front end of the car really high and letting oil drain overnight. (Oil drain plug is not on the bottom of the oil pan, it is almost inch higher on the backside of the oil pan) I read that prior to 2003, these engines had a problem with oil consumption but they fixed the problem.

It is amazing how hard it is to find good instructional content - especially automotive content - on YT.
Great voice, recording, quality, lesson and presentation. Great job

Hi, what is the size of oil filter wrench? is it 64mm or 68mm?
I’m going to buy one but I couldn’t find any information for Toyota Corolla 2005.
Very helpful and fun video. Thank you!
Hi, could you post a link of where you purchased the oil filter wrench for the 2005
Fantastic Channel. Can you detail how to change the valve cover on this particular vehicle
I enjoyed the video, thank you!
Please, Mr. Toyota Maintenance consider checking valve clearance at the same time when replacing the valve cover gasket.
How often should I clean my camshaft oil control valve on my 2005 Corolla ? It’s got 133k
Thanks for the video my friend
Is it advisable to change from conventional oil to fully synthetic without problems? Thx

Will the castrol high mileage oil be good for my 2005 corolla?
Can switch from 15w40 to 5w30 ?
Thanks for sharing this information.
Hi, after how many miles shoud you change the oil ?
It's 10,000 miles or 1 year on most Toyotas (on most Japanese cars actually).
I do it every 5000 KM on a 2004 Corolla. I like to keep the oil clean for the VVT
Toyota recommends every 5,000 or 7,500 mile intervals.

In 2005 it was every six months or 5,000 miles for US models

I wonder if this version of the 1.8 engine is as much an oil burner as the 98 and 99 models?

Dear sir, if oil use over 6 month is that damage to engine or not? Thz
Nice garage.
Nice information 👍 nice video
You put a 5 quarts of oil, what are doing .
Should anyone want to sell their Toyota corolla, kind reach out.
Where can your funnel be purchased?
Ebay
Nippon Denso makes the filters that Toyota uses, so I just buy them online and save $$$
Pro tip : watch movies on Flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Ira Jose definitely, I have been watching on flixzone for since november myself :D
@Ira Jose yea, have been watching on flixzone for years myself :)
Canbiyo servis
You used that same wrench on a Highlander. It is made for this engine but not for the Highlander.
