I feel like there lives an old and wise soul inside this man. I've rarely 'met' people who are that calm and conscious yet so passionate and full of this clean energy. I can't describe it. This man is so special and I'm grateful that he shares his music with us.
I agree... He does have a good energy... He is very open and honest.
I love how he said there are some things he doesn’t tell anybody. All the music is holy, but those things he doesn’t tell anyone about are the hidden parts of the music that my mind only grasps as fleeting shadows, or a light breeze that lasts only a second as the Trees smile at me. Those are the parts, those hidden things in Wardruna’s music, that change me from within and ignite the spiritual fire. Einar, Wardruna is a gift. My gift to you is to allow it to transform me. It's hard to listen to this music without falling into a trancelike state.
I got used to it with the first wardruna album, now it's simply automatic. i can relate to that. i'm also struggling...
As a fan of psychedelic trance music, i fell in love with Wardruna
I chant a lot of indian kirtan/bhajans, and Wardruna seems to easily hit that same meditative flow and cadence

@@Ostarrichi996 Sadly I have to agree. For example, hungarian culture, customs and religion was completely destroyed, everyone who ever spoke about it executed, all texts, items burned. The Vatican Inquisition were never as succesful in erradicating a culture than in Hungary (mostly because the king at the time supported these actions). So basically, now, as a hungarian, I know nothing about what my people believed in, what they did, what they used to do. All this, gone, forever.
@@Ostarrichi996 I think a distinction must be made between what Jesus said and what was done under the RCC or even the Protestant's. A lot of bad has been done under his name unfortunately. In the name of self preservation, I think it a good thing if more Europeans do discover their roots, take interest and look to their ancestors. Look at the state of Europe as it is today, it's a mess and one reason I feel for that is that people have no identity. They get caught up in the modern world and its ways.

I usually listen to Einar's songs without a translation of the lyrics many times before seeking out translations. This is music that reaches the soul, that needs no other meaning beyond how it makes me feel.

Essentially what you've defined is seen in very old Scottish music called "Piobraireachd" where bagpipers and singers used to channel the feelings of their surroundings into music.

Is funny that I started to watch Vikings because Wardruna :) I don't know why I wasn't very interested to watch the series (too many historical mistakes and I thought that would be just copycat of GOT with axes and long beards) but because the beautiful music of Wardruna I decided to give a try! And I don't regret it :)

Wow, happy to see Einar talking about his creating again, and the“oral society” thing that recalls me to last album Skald, the foreword of that talked a lot about it. And I really feel the way Wardruna did music from heart, music of Kvitravn did “reached to my heart” like Einar said.
I have little bit trouble on understanding a word in this video for a while… Would someone kind enough to help me figure out “ *what* is always to get us as close as possible…” at about 0:23? It seemed like“them” but I can't sure…
