I just finished a week rental in this , same loaded up with people and gear to the interior , 2000km and I enjoyed this much more than the Yukon XL we used two years ago. Thirsty turbo motor but never was worried on mountain passes.
I have a suburban rental in the Okanagan right now and I think it’s fine. Interior is very comfortable and ride is very smooth. The 5.3 is a bit weak so I would for sure go for the 6.2 in the Yukon likely as I like that exterior design better. I do agree ford interiors need work still.
The Ford drives better than the GM do to the independent suspension...lt feels much larger in the rear seat. Looks wise I think the GM's do look better but their 5.3 litre is weak...the 6.2 is much better and the V8 sounds great as well. I prefer the Ford version...love the stealth look and wish you could get in the XL 4wd model with 20's vs 18's.
Great review, It has a good personal touch that people can relate to. Zack, do you find that the gas consumption number displayed by the car is accurate? Thanks
I recently took a Chrysler Pacifica. Sure... it was a very comfortable and somewhat luxurious vehicle... for a MiniVan. And then I saw the ‘sticker price’!!!! ... $64,ooo dollars! Not peso’s, but 64 thousand Canadian dollars... before tax/delivery/add-one So this latest Expedition appears to be quite the bargain. Personally... I might consider a Ford Ranger “Raptor” (think Ford Explorer Sport Trac, only better (beefier)). Thanks for the video Zack.
Rangers are terrible though. They are developed as an economy truck but you're paying for new model "class" anyway. You are better off buying an older, top-level flagship truck that is lightly used so you get more for your money. DON'T get a Ranger.
Note - Don't assume that the current big SUVs from GM give you the same comfort and room in their 3rd rows like the Expedtion and Navigators do, because THEY DO NOT. This is a big area where Ford has leap frogged GM....
The interior is ugly and Ford needs to get off this obsession of smaller turbo engines that eat just as much gas as larger displacement normally aspirated engines.
They desperately need to update and improve the interior. Infotainment looks like its from 2010. At least re-skin it, it's so lazy. American automakers (with exception of FCA), are stuck 10 years in the past.
Exception of FCA 😂😂😂 RAM updated their 1500 this year. Before that they were using the same pickup design sold since 2009. Ram's the one that's stuck 10 years behind lmfao 😂😂😂. Ford changes their design every 5 years for the F150. Chevy changes the Silverado every 5-7 years.
Great real world test on its interior space 👍
So is there Continuously Controller Damping (CCD) on the Canadian version?
Sure looks nice. Would love to own the short version, with a column shifter instead of the knob.
The short version is where the expedition really outshines the GM's. In the long version they are more equal.

I don't think you have the MAX version. Looks like the short wheel base. The max says MAX in red
Are their issues with the 10 speed transmission? Is it reliable? Is it dependent? Thanks a lot for the review

Do you think Ford/GM will put their new diesel engines in these large SUVs?

They typically are close.
@@Motormouth... thank you

You are probably right. Good advice.
For a typical 4-person family, large SUV is great for a few times a year. It's waste of space and gas rest of the year.
Obviously a 4 person family is not gonna go with the Expedition. What a pointless comment.
@@Lucky8s my 4 person family is.

And you're using every last inch of this car?
@@Lucky8s plus some. Routinely tow things, too.
Is it a real AWD or 4X4 labeled as AWD.
This Ford provokes fond memories of the 60s and 70s land yachts. Huge comfortable interiors made for HUMAN Beings not sardines. Love it SO..
Beautiful truck. C:
That power running boards design are 12 years old.
Interior is a f150, tail lights are f150, headlight are Flex
Because it's an F-150 with a back on it.
@@Motormouth... how can they charge double then?
Nick R expedition has always been an F150 without a bed
Have you seen the price of pickup trucks? they easily push $60,000
@@Motormouth... ford.ca says the f150 starts at 25k. Expedition at 60k. So more then double
This is clearly NOT a MAX body or wheelbase.

It doesn't look like the max version to me
People will still buy the trash GM
trio anyway, in high numbers than the better Ford or Lincoln... Fools!!, Great review as always Boss.
FCA / RAM with a new e-torque V8 engine could dominate this segment.
Ram doesn't have anything in this segment, and even if they did, the engine's not gonna make them dominate lmao😂😂😂
