Another point is that Medvedev served consistently well with at least one ace and perhaps one more unreturned return per service game. Djokovic just could not read his first serve at all. This put the pressure entirely on Djokovic's service game.
Djokovic played the entire match with the nerves of federer serving for a trophy. The calendar slam pressure was eating him alive. Also Medvedev was tactically smart and on a mission. Has anyone told you you look like Carla Suarez Navarro?
What went wrong? I think despite Nole’s US Open final lost, he has had the best achievements this year, way more than any other tennis players. It’s exasperating that people keep critisizing him as If he has to be perfect at all times. As for me, he had his biggest achievement this year when he won French Open. Everything else was a bonus.
Novak's draw at Wimbledon was easier than a Master's 1000 series line up. So every time you can't be lucky with the draw. Had he drawn Kyrgios like poor Ugo Humbert quite possibly he may lost in first round itself.
Medvedev was faster, covered the court better. His fast and flat ball swings didn't give Djokovic time to control rallies. Djokovic was outplayed totally.
He didn’t really get into all the details. A big reason for the win for Med was he hit deep down the middle of the court which took away the angles for Joker and he was willing to let him take risks and defend. He also stood really far back to take away his chances at aceing him. He played the perfect match strategically against Joker. All those lost sets and extended battles during the two weeks leading up to final took away his legs too. But that’s on Joker. Med still needed to outplay and outsmart him.
Yep. Medvedev got an easy draw this time. Djokovic got a tougher one. Sometimes it works out that way. Djokovic has had 2 rough draws and 2 kind draws this year, he managed to win 3 slams and get to within 1 of the CYGS. Not bad I'd say.
@@GameOvais Not that Djoker had a tough draw - he made it a tough draw because he dropped sets in which he does not normally do - especially early in the tournament - and his opponents were not afraid of him either. Novak’s experience more so than his game carried him through those matches.

Hello, you cannot compare Medvedev's with Nadal's, because hitting a ball with forehand and backend has difference in terms of angle of the body to swing and accuracy/consistency.
We can discuss all the reasons Djoker lost. Didn't play well, played under pressure, Didn't bring his A game ..... Yada Yada....... Nada! What happened at the US Open was Mendedevs doing. Mendedev played Amazing and took Djokers belief of winning and shred it very early in the match. Really appreciate your analysis. It seems the big name tv commentators rarely if ever talk about strategy. The lesser stars, i.e., Brad, Arias, Davenport will. (Too bad they always muzzle Brad.) Djokovic, once lost against Nadal in a Roland Garros match, later on, Djokovic won against Nadal in Roland Garros. Thats the way, Djokovic is : He learned by Losses, he studies the opponents to beat them later.
Djokovic lost because US open never want him to win. Last year is the linesman, this year is the draw and schedule. Had Djokovic played the semi first Medvedev played night, which leaves Djokovic half a day more of rest, things will be a lot different. Had the chair umpire not replayed the serve on 2nd set, Djokovic will most likely break Medvedev on that set, and win 3-1 as usual.
I disagree. They rolled out the red carpet for Djokovic. Exclusively on Ashe Stadium, evening matches (we know how he feels about the daytime, especially in the heat), anything he needed I’m sure was at his disposal, top billing - everybody from New York to Mars knew about Novak Djokovic and his quest for history! No I think they wanted him to win. Especially if it gives more attention - and money, can’t forget that - to the sport.
The only reason djokovich lost is that he gets bored when Federer or Nadal aren’t on the other side, plus for the first time, the crowd was with him. He feeds on the crowd being against him.
At least your youtube channel is still up and running! I have been calling and emailing for a week now and no response from your customer service! I have a charge on my debit card and i didnt buy anything!!! Please respond!!!!
Why did' Dhokovic loose? It's simple. Medvedev played a superior game as hé was playing through out the tournament. Djokovich was loosing almost all his first sets. Medvedev will be a player to reckon with in the future.
Medvedev was great and desearved to beat Djokovic in USA OPEN FINAL. But, recently, Medvedev was not so focus against Djokovic in Melbourne match, that's why Medvedev was well beaten, this time, against Djokovic
Fun aside, looks like your analysis needs to be rechecked because Nadal is lefty, Medvedev is righty- obviously Djoker will try to go Nadal’s backhand to create an opening while it won’t work with right Medvedev who would hit deep FH

I used to think Matt of CBT does the best analysis... and I realized "no" after seeing few talks by Gill Gross in his "monday match analysis" series. But, now I realized "NO WAY"... after watching this and 1 more video few days ago from "Fuzzy Yellow Balls". I wonder why those people aren't analyzing this way! What's the point in talking about "I think Nole is thinking this way", "Roger is not mentally strong", etc -- which can not be proven, anyway! What's the point in talking about "% of 1st serves in", "difference b/w total winners and total UFEs", "# of break points converted", "# of BPs saved", etc -- a new tennis fan might be enamored with such analyses, but not a serious and experienced tennis fan I really love to see analysis like what's been happening here on this yt channel. Thanks very much (yet to catch ur name!) :):):)>>>:)
So basically as many have said Medvedev defeated Djokovic at his own game! Had a taste of his own medicine if you will. You remind me of Gill Gross of MMA. Nice pun at the end 😀.
No one is talking about the elephant in the room. The age factor and predictable defensive game of Djokovic. These young Turks just have to play their natural game to beat him now. Medvedev, Zverev, Psitsipas, Theim, Beretinni are all capable of beating him. I doubt he can win another grand slam title. These younger players are his nemesis now from any quarter final stage. Both in Tokyo and New York he lost the game mentally.
YOU ARE SAYING HIS NAME WRO..... OH OK I just heard you say it correctly.... but just once....eh nvm you went back to your butcher. Medvedeeeeeeaaavvvv
Tactics are definitely brainstormed by every player's think-tank on the eve of every important match, and then practiced That's why players receive secret coaching during match when they fail to implement pre-planned tactics. Players would obviously wouldn't forget the most basic tactics, which are applicable generally to any opponent And, hence that's why I don't agree with Tsitsipas's demand to allow on-court coaching. It is nonsense. Kills the beauty of the competition, and makes a tennis match even more slower, when football is alway becoming more n more faster.
You should be a comedian. Funny stuff. This is a play that every ATP player does. And it tests how good your opponents running forehand is. Fed eats these running forehands for breakfast. All these ppl who are Djoker apologists, keep saying he's tired, etc. Come on. Didn't Djoker win the French playing two 5-setters? Good god, you'd think that playing extra sets would kill everyone who won majors. These are professional athletes. Not amateurs. They train for this. It's typical of anyone who wins majors. It's atypical to go through the tourney without dropping a set. Djoker took an entire month off. He's well rested. Djoker was No. 1 seed which means he gets the easiest path to the finals. If he plays more sets then its on him. He's just not good enough to dispatch his opponents in straight sets. Med tore through his opponents. He's more talented and just plain better. If Djoker is the goat then that makes Med the goat-slayer. But anyone still thinking Djoker is the GOAT is so biased he doesn't understand tennis. This was supposed to be Djoker's crowning moment. He had crowd support, celebrities, tennis greats, his entire county, the entire tennis world wanting to see history made and he just soiled his pants. This is not what a GOAT does in any sport. They rise to the occasion, play their best and not go meekly into the night. They understand history. It's the greatest humiliation I can imagine. Going for a calendar slam, getting a major over his rivals and he fails so bad, you have to have pity for him. Pity the goat. He will never be the goat after this. This was the worst thing that could happen to any professional athlete. He will never recover.
Although I agree with the analysis you did in the beginning. You shouldn't have spit fire/hate in the end. It is just that Nole fans are sore losers, they now only have excuses to justify his loss, nothing else

What happened ? Medvedev moves amazing for his size and has all the weapons to beat anyone in a particular day .....he just cruised through everyone at this U S open.
Finally someone that says Medvedev’s name correctly
Good strategic breakdown, but I got distracted by the pronunciation of Medvedev. LOL.
It’s the Russian way of saying it
The analysis seems incomplete without mentioning the 5 set match against Zverev. It was a battle that included a 53 shot rally, was hard fought and most likely took a lot out of him. Medvedev had an easier run and didn’t have the pressure that Djokovic faced.
@@debbiephelps9448 so true and weird it was left out of the analysis.
You're f$&)n funny! Love your commentary.
Hmmm....I recall you saying the only way Med. could win was to get to the net.
Yeah, that's what Craig at Braingame said, too. I don't believe Medvedev had a single volley winner, he just won the match :)
@@JimFawcette Witch proves that Novak was exhausted!
hyperbolic chamber joke was good 10/10
Djokovic lost bcoz Medvedev was the better player .
Really appreciate your analysis. It seems the big name tv commentators rarely if ever talk about strategy. The lesser stars, i.e., Brad, Arias, Davenport will. (Too bad they always muzzle Brad.) Evert, McEnroe? Nope. Evert made some insightful comments about the mentality of some of the women, though - Ash, Leylah.
Cayhill and Roger Rasheed and Todd Woodbridge always have technical analysis. The rest, only synonyms for 'amazing'.
@@Tesla_Death_Ray Spot on! Why do you think that is? Are they incapable? Are they selling their knowledge to their academy students?
@@KathyComplex the 3 I mentioned are all coaches. Cayhill was in talks with federer for a moment a while back. The former players must have gone by instinct. I've never heard macenroe say anything interesting
@@Tesla_Death_Ray Right? "Those who can" and all that. Although Woodbridge acquitted himself quite well.
@@KathyComplex Woodbridge = 9 time Wimbledon champion
Djokovic, once lost against Nadal in a Roland Garros match, later on, Djokovic won against Nadal in Roland Garros.
Had the chair umpire not replayed the serve on 2nd set, Djokovic will most likely break Medvedev on that set, and win 3-1 as usual.
yeah, lol.
Hey Mini, send us an email at support@fuzzyyellowballs.com and we'll get you sorted
Novak was missing all which he would not normally. It was not his day,
at first I thought the video is about how he lost because the balls were fuzzy yellow
I smashed that subscribe button after "hyperbolic chamber"
Djokovic lost against Medvedev in the USA OPEN FINAL. But, lately, he won against Medvedev in Austrália Open. Só, he studied well Medvedev
I love the Denny's part >_>
Idk if anyone will have a calendar slam ever again. Too much pressure from the world with the technology nowadays.
He got clobbered by a far superior player. Wasn't even as close as the final score indicated
Fun aside, looks like your analysis needs to be rechecked because Nadal is lefty, Medvedev is righty- obviously Djoker will try to go Nadal’s backhand to create an opening while it won’t work with right Medvedev who would hit deep FH
Off topic comment, ur eyeglasses don't suite you, try smoother edges. BTW nice game analysis.
I predicted it...? Needs to confront his demon.
Your technical analysis of tennis has changed my method of watching a tennis rally. Now, automatically I've been observing both players actions and intentions and ball trajectories and shot angles and distance from baseline of the players and so on. Thankyou! :):):)>>>:)
You're welcome!
Medvedv is a better player and will be in the future. Nerves smurves.
What's the point in talking about
"% of 1st serves in",
"difference b/w total winners and total UFEs",
"# of break points converted",
"# of BPs saved",
etc -- a new tennis fan might be enamored with such analyses, but not a serious and experienced tennis fan
I really love to see analysis like what's been happening here on this yt channel.
Thanks very much (yet to catch ur name!) :):):)>>>:)
I agree.
So basically as many have said Medvedev defeated Djokovic at his own game! Had a taste of his own medicine if you will. You remind me of Gill Gross of MMA. Nice pun at the end 😀.
Be really GR8 if the password actually worked @ I could access the rescue course I purchased. Otherwise good stuff guys. Best Haydyn

Nice jokes :D the analysis was good too
Will is looking more like Lee Harvey Oswald than he probably realizes...
🤔
😟
Federer won once, the Four ones of Grand Slam, I guess
1.45-6 lol- fap trigger alert!
Lol you should stop uploading tennis videos and start uploading your standup routines. Also, I think you're pronouncing Medvedev wrong.
YOU ARE SAYING HIS NAME WRO..... OH OK I just heard you say it correctly.... but just once....eh nvm you went back to your butcher. Medvedeeeeeeaaavvvv
He lost cause Medvedev played better. Nothing else. Djoker cant play his best everytime. No player cant.
Good video but man the jokes are so forced !
Back issues also, perhaps.
Tactics are definitely brainstormed by every player's think-tank on the eve of every important match, and then practiced
That's why players receive secret coaching during match when they fail to implement pre-planned tactics. Players would obviously wouldn't forget the most basic tactics, which are applicable generally to any opponent
And, hence that's why I don't agree with Tsitsipas's demand to allow on-court coaching.
Djokovic is finished 😩😩😩😩😩
stupid jokes
