4 Grand Slams Finals, 3 Wins and 1 loose in 5 hours ....... and that with 36(!) years...... This is not a human...... LEGEND and GOAT oft this sport !!!!!!!!!!!
what do u mean by 5 hrs?
I think it is awesome that Djokovic is bringing back serve and volley to the game again. He is truly a complete player.
Surely an adaptation to Medvedev standing 8 meters behind the line for returning :D
@@simon.annies Obviously. But it is still nice to see a classic playstyle coming back, even if it's situational. Serve and volley has never been my favorite style, but it is a huge part of the identity and history of tennis.
@@Grivian agreed
The day we all understood why Sampras was his childhood idol
@@simon.annies And with Alcaraz he played with this tactic.
This man is absolutely insane. He has created a myth out of his career… 36 and this guy goes 4/4 slam finals winning 3 of them. All that during the “Alcaraz hype train” year… all that at 36 years of age…. I dont think another human being is more in tune with body and mind the way Djokovic is…
If Rafa wasnt injured, its gonna be neck to neck

Cant imagine the physical and mental strength of Djokovic. Never doubted him ever since. I can still remember the 1st time I saw him playing against Tsonga circa 2008/9. That is the reason why I got hooked with tennis
Djokovic has so far competed in 72 Grand Slam tournaments and reached the finals 36 times. He has 24 wins. The guy reached the finals in half of all the Grand Slam tournaments he entered. This is such an amazing statistic that it's hard to believe. Novak Djokovic is definitely the greatest of all time.
Made the Finals half the times he entered GS tournaments, and won 1/3 of all the GS tournaments draws he's played into... 😱🥶🥶🥶🥶💪💪💪🍀🍀🍀🍀🐊🇷🇸🧡
He wouldnt have won french if rafa didnt get hurt. They would be tied for the most slam.
@@almanu04same way Nadal wouldn't have won AO 2022 if Djokovic had played. Yes we can play that card too😂
@@almanu04you live in an illusion and its okay, in realitu ita 24 Novak and 22Rafael, nobody cares why or how
@footballdebunk and at least Djokovic has beaten Rafa at RG before. Meanwhile Nadal hasn't won a set off Djokovic on hard courts for 10 years now
Congrat Novak Djokovic, you are legend. Love from Indonesia
A historic feat. The great Djokovic: one of the very greatest sportspersons to ever live, on this earth. The stuff of myths and legends.
He did surprised everyone with so many serve & volleys... would argue he never went to the net like this in last 5 years atleast in any match. And it went great
What a beast of a human. I remember the time when Federer and nadal used to beat him in semi’s/ finals. At that time I used to root for Novak. That was a long time ago. Look what the guy has achieved. Insane. Much respect for this guy. Unbelievable
Watching Djokovic playing it is always a pure master class. At the age of 36 he is crashing everyone. True champion right there. And his IQ is also so high.
Just the greatest athlete of all sports in history.
As a russian i'am happy to see these two together. Novak is beast. Congratulations to him and to my serb bro's and sisters!

Djokovic- such a great in fitness and skill, temperament and character! Just watching him with todays opposition makes me realise the greatness and mastery too, of Federer and Nadal, and their resultant synergies that raised the game above any past era…and possibly for a while to come.
Incredible that at 36 years old he can play tennis at high level. When I was 36 years old, just jogging was exhausting.

Both are great guys and delivered a great final especially the 2nd set, Meddy has much to be proud of defeating Rublev and Alcaraz and making the final from such a hard path. Djokovic is inevitable, this guy never stops
This is a textbook match for any who plays or want to play tennis. Once more time Novak produces to a lot of people who have been doubt him over and over again on so many different ways. The simple answer for all is he proved to be greatest player in the history of the game. We're all blessed to witness and be able to watch him playing. Congratulations Nole for another victory and another record.
Yes amazing athlete , this is a true example of what ; top sport sciences , diet lifestyle , spirituality combined is all about !! Novak can be considered so far the greatest player in the history …so many have tried to stop him …somehow

beating alca took a lot out of meddy. djok is lucky to face like 1 top 10 player to the final. the draw completely opened up for him. look at wimbledon draw in contrast. djok had to play wawrinka, hurkaz, rublev, sinner and alpaca
Ugliest final ever. Disgusting tennis from both. Would never pay to watch any of these two clowns play.
The fact that he has done the era of Roger Federer and Nadal both guys with 20 grand slam means a lot
I can agree for the first time that he is the greatest player that ever grace the game
Djokovic looked exhausted during the second set, and yet he still managed to pull away from Medvedev. That kind of stamina at his age is unreal.
Plant power more like. People don't realise it's a secret weapon.
Making Novak's records that much more impossible to reach.
@@timsimon8995 these fools will never understand the longevity and endurance it gives you, 100% a secret weapon exclusive to those who can overcome their animal flesh/secretion addiction 😉
He said it himself in the interview. He was feeling really exhausted in the 2nd set, but when he won it, he felt relieved and had more energy in the third set than in the second one.
And Medvedev one of the fittest guys on tour from the next gen, winning 4 tournaments in 5 weeks or something earlier the season. To not even get one set off the djoker is insane
This will never be repeated in tennis history. Even if someone eventually overtakes his GS rally, nobody will do it in the golden Era djokovic competed in. Nobody will face the same adversity and political persecution, unfair decisions and ATP bias against him to stop him from winning more slams and counting more #1 weeks. Unforunately, the fairness has been stripped away from his numbers that deserve to be EVEN BIGGER than they already are.
But he gained something bigger than numbers. Legacy, he became a symbol for all people who haven't forgotten what principles are. This man surpassed sports, that's why he became, the greatest athlete to ever walk on Earth.
You echo my sentiments
Wow unbelievable .....24 GS, 3rd this year and still going strong at 36, Djokovic is a beast.
To beat Meddy in this fashion , straight sets in final...now world no 1....GOAT
It is a gift that we are being able to see a person totally dedicated to tennis like Sr.Novak Djokovic, a total champion who makes us see that dreams come true by working to the maximum.
That second set was a championship set indeed! Props to Novak for staying clutch and not falling through in clutch moments, that was the key for the victory. Great journey for Meddy as well as he didn’t only win Alcaraz which was incredible, but also Rublev, De Minaur, who apparently happened to be his kryptonite as of recently, and even Baez who was on a 12 match win streak. He fought through brutal conditions like no one else and not anyone pointed that out how all of that could’ve affected the Daniil’s physique and his mental state. He could’ve also made some history by beating Carlos and Novak at the same tournament and especially on a grand slam. Insane path and he should be proud of himself and learn the corresponding lessons. It will help him boost his confidence too as he’s realized he can beat anyone on tour, no doubt. He will be better next time for sure!
I’m glad someone acknowledged Medvedev’s path to final was so tough. 😢
Medvedev lacked of a Little lucidity in that 2nd set with that Match point and Also when he was up in the Tie. And lacked of a bit of luck as well. Both things that Nole had in that Moment instead. It's a Pity because he ruined the Great performance against Alcaraz which deserved to lead to a title
That 2nd set told you everything you needed to know about Djokovic. He had every right to lose it but dug deep and clung on somehow. Got to give credit to him tactically too though. He served and volleyed more times in the first set than he had in the whole tournament. Brain, body and experience got him number 24. G. O. A. T.
Was so sure Djoker in 3. Until Novak retires none will win. ❤
Ugliest final ever. Disgusting tennis from both. Would never pay to watch any of these two clowns play.
WOW! This man is like a machine, never stops. always looks for a win! Congrats Novak - you are really the BEST!
If he doesn't get a serious injury for the next 2 years he can make it 30 grand slam which I don't think if anyone can ever reach that record even though I believe nobody can ever reach to 24 gs too. This guy is an absolute beast
Serious injury? Seriously ?

Any similarity between 2023 US Open men's final and a tennis match is purely coincidental. Any resemblance between the characters in this match and any persons, living or dead, is a miracle. No animals were harmed in the making of this match.
