I've believed for a long time that free will and conscious choice has more impact on the warp than raw emotion, and this is why Kharn is the chosen of Khorne, not Angron. Angron is Khorne because he was forced. Kharn is Khorne because he chose, and that is what makes him so dangerous.

Have you ever seen those oil paintings (with stoic quotes) of Roman soldiers as gladiators in the arena, surrounded by a crowd of other soldiers? It's exactly what Nuceria and Angron should be! Is my latest version of Loyalist Angron much fairer? The Beastmen as the tyrants (influenced by Khorne) fighting the Warrior Kings of Nuceria! (Similar to the Necromancer Overlords, influenced by Nurgle, fighting the Death Guard of Barbarus)
This is the fate of all those who follow the path of Chaos as he was once an honorable warrior who truly cherish the bonds he created throughout his time in the Great Crusade, but that what makes his descent to bloodlust so tragic as he is known as The Betrayer, someone who will throw all form of bonds, friendships, and even blood to the slaughter.
Kharn story is a definition of wanting approval of abusive superior or someone in general only to loose your own identity in process. Becoming a shell of your former self forever. And be forever remembered not as true himself, but a thing he become.
