I mean he had a giant army and fleet, he could have just said hey how about I save your brothers and sisters and destroy the Nucerians then you and your army can join the legion together. I mean Russ' warriors joined the legion, so did the Lion's warriors, so they absolutely could have joined the legion with him. But the Emperor saw that Angron was no longer the perfect being he created and saw him as just a mindless weapon to be used, he didn't do any of this because he didn't care enough to, Angron was just a weapon to him.
For Angron. I don't think he ever had a chance. He had severe braindamage. Extreme psychological trauma. Stuck with perma roadrage device. Did not get to save/die with his family. The emperor showed no understanding (from 1 cruel master into servitude of an uncaring one). Was dying and every day his higher functions were diminishing. Hated his legion due to his trauma, emperor and nails, best case scenario, he could respect a fiew. The guy ment to take care of him was the arch trator. His best and probably , only friend was Lorgar "I will turn you into a demon" Aurelian.
Oh that’s not factoring how that setup basically sacrificed his Primarch psyker gift of super empathy to the point of taking in the mental and maybe even some of the physical pain the victim is experiencing. Angron, like his brother Curze, were doomed from the start.
Dudes be like: nOoOo!!! There are no good guys in warhammer!!! Its super complicated!!! The World Eaters are the result of some eldritch horror devoting 1/1000000th of its attention to realspace
YEAH. GENUINELY. Kharn was the one Khorne always was paying attention to. Angron was and always will be a lackey, but Kharn? Kharn is the genuine article. In my opinion Khorne use Angron to allow Kharn to be on the path he would eventually walk down. Its really schemey for Khorne honestly. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! Love the World Eaters storyline, its about as tragic as you are going to get. Truly one of the more Grimdark stories out there, which is way I LOVE Warhammer. Also, your scripting is amazing 🔥

Whenever i think about "tragedy" on 40k my first thought is of angron and his world eaters. There really was no winning for any party when it came to what went down with them
🔴 Loyalist Angron, pure metal, a rock of valor worthy for the Emperor. Sanguinius and Blood Angels with Angron and World Eaters, forming a great brotherhood! It would be clearer to say that: Angron is saved and raised by the village of the city of Desh'ea and then sells himself as a gladiator planning its conquest and liberation, neither he nor Oenomaus receive the butcher's nails but they are still forced to fight with Angron who gives an honorable death to his dear mentor, then (recruiting more soldiers thanks to his psychic power) in the last battle the Emperor decides to send the World Eaters to defend Angron and his warriors (recognizing potential new forces for his XII Legion) and subsequently, with all medical science, heal the heads of the surviving men. A good example is Vladus Barca himself (practically the loyalist version of Angron). And the World Eaters choose to repaint parts of themselves red to honor the title (and above all the sacrifice) of their father: the Red Angel. Another good possibility is this! Oenomaus had already freed Desh'ea and ruled House Thal'kyr, then after hearing about the boy named Angron, raised first by wolves and then by villagers, he decides to recruit him among his warriors, seeing him as their hope. Angron thus grows well becoming a just adult, in a reborn city with a large army of strong warriors, successfully leading his valiant soldiers (being a psyker), with the title Red Angel, against the tyrants (witnessing the tragic but honorable death of his father figure in the last battle), ultimately becoming the Warrior King, powerful ruler of all Nuceria. Some time after the planet's pacification Angron meets the Emperor, this time voluntarily embracing his place as son, Primarch and father of the XII Legion of War Wolves (World Eaters), officially making Nuceria their homeworld. Or maybe even this: all the cities of Nuceria are governed by several Warrior Kings (with a valiant warrior spirit, fighting against the tyranny of bloody Beastmen), who over time see the rise of the wolf Angron Thal'kyr as a sign of a worthy ruler (and future worthy Primarch)! A psyker soul like Sanguinius! Angron also lived alongside ferocious predators, the wild Wolves of Nuceria (hard-skinned beasts), before being taken by the people of the village. And just like the Iron Hands with the Bulls of Medusa, the Dark Angels with the Lions of Caliban and the Space Wolves with the Wolves of Fenris, the World Eaters learn to build a bond with the creatures of their home planet.
maybe the reason angron didnt give luceria culture to his sons is because there is none to be learn only shame and rage for there is nothing good from that place. Angron actually like his sons had a guts, rebel, disagreed with him not a "slave" ready to order around whom which he despise that. Had they find another way to understand Angron without take butcher nails.....
