That there are drummers with greater interdependance, and speed I can maybe buy. But how was he 'imprecise' here? He has done a full 20 minute song in one take, and it was flawless. Furthermore, 'phrasing' and 'creativity' are purely subjective, and loads of people love this guy mainly for the way he phrases his grooves. His style is efficient, mechanical, yet somehow displaying an amazing organic 'feel' and creative flair.
would you also happen to know the series of his drumset? i've looked on the site but ddnt find anything really. i'm an intermediate drummer and willing to buy meself an upgrade. what would you recommend as a fellow drummer?
he rocks the shit out of that kit, but yet... seems so relaxed. I think someone said he has three brains, if so... I want one of them. I think he can still be amazing with two and I really need to jazz up my playing.
i have a rrrealy crappy drumset that iim not even gonna name to save meself some embarassment :P but i think i found my next upgrade, PDP pacific 805. what do you think?
If you search him on wikipedia you will get all his drum specs that he uses live. as for what i would reccomend iam only intermediate myself so i cant really help you. I just came to see god at work
Actually he plays some of the most complex polymetrics I've ever heard. Mangini tops him, but Mangini's Mangini. Meshuggah are very focused in their music, its almost pure rhythm, sure we're not seeing him display an affinity for amazing latin solos but he's achieving new things for drumming.
haha, well if your set sucks as much as you say thats a decent upgrade. if you want a kit thats good for like shows and recording, and want PDP thats ok, but for a little more the x7 is prolly a good idea. the platinum is real nice, but kinda pricey if your not lookin to empty a month of pay from your bank lol
He's the best metal drummer ever
Man, that guy grooves. I want more fottage from this event to surface.

The power... so hard.. the groove.. so perverted...

Think of this: this was filmed before bleed existed

Alot of what makes Haake's parts crazy is how he plays against the guitars.
I'd like more info on the band, how long they been around, some history too, if anyone could help
Sabian all the way!

haha. well if your intermediate, you cant afford his set sadly, i dont think many people could. what brand drums do you use now?

Anyone else think it's weird that this guy was born with 3 brains?
Well, I'd just stick with your username - he's God. He taught the New Millenium Cyanide Christ how to play the drums :P
Sonor
