I'm stage 3 COPD ,stopped smoking 22 years ago but worked with heavy chemicals without protection .I hike and try my best to keep fit .Going uphill kills me ,but i make small stops to catch my breath. From April to August i hiked the equivalent kms Paris to London .I wear a mask when its cold because the cold air is bad for the lungs.Walking is good for us COPD sufferers we have to keep the lungs active .Prayers and positive energy to all of you .God bless ❤
Wish you well mate ..not sure if you use natural stuff such as in this video but they are no joke...you need too find the herbs n mushrooms involved in cell regeration I belive....highest known plant for anti oxidants is acai Berry its 40,000 on OCEA list....but there is one a bit higher...chaga mushroom is around 3.6 million on the OCEA scale ....so it's stupidly more powerful for your moneys worth....for clearing lungs I find mullien leaf too be great for me...thyme and ginger also these things all work straight way...but people think there like cook stuff lol....just a quick share mate 👍...
I’m 50 & on oxygen 24/7 with copd , preys for you my friend. Try stay as fit as possible for as long as possible 👌I just try enjoy life now everyday is special🙏
@user-sr8fj5dz7w You are in my prayers too ,in Norway we are fortunate with medication ,I have an inhaler Anoro, only for COPD ,it keeps the lungs open 24/7, then I have an effervescent tablet that loosens phlegm and a strong Ventoline I use for hiking and before doing exercises ,but the cold weather is very unkind to us ,so I use a mask outside ,may God grant you strength, warm hugs and Merry xmas to you abd you family ❤️
I was surprised that thyme was not listed. I personally have found using organic thyme has been a great relief to my breathing. I just use it like I would to make tea works wonders for me!
bought a farm a few years back, went around trying to ID all the "weeds" so I could clean up the land. Turns out I was living on a pharmacy. As I became aware of what these plants were good for I was amazed at not only what they were capable of but how well they worked.
Oregano oil and Olive leaf extract works for me. Honestly God designed the body to heal itself and sometimes it just needs help to support it naturally.
I'm a country girl so we use these herbs daily in winter. Peppermint tea is my favorite horehound, mullein and elderberry was used by my grandmother. Wild lemons, pine and mullein leaves tea was a staple in our home in cold weather. I will get my 93 year old to write her herbal tea remedies in a notebook so we don't lose that native secrets to improving one's health.

COPD is a horrible disease! My mother died of it at the young age of 49. She was a life-long smoker. As I stood over her casket I made a promise to stop smoking. It so difficult to quit smoking but I did. Anyone watching this video to help stop smoking I send out a prayer to you!
What was the most difficult part of stopping smoking for you or anyone.. ???. I'm struggling with handing it over to God/To Live or dieing with the Devil.... I chose LIFE AND A BEAUTIFUL FUTURE EVERY DAY!
I found mullein locally and made tinctures of it as I have COPD. For this past year (2022) I consumed one quarter teaspoon when congested and found relief for 8 hours each time. My recent breathing test in Nov. proved a significant increase in my breathing. Thank goodness I saved some seeds. Will try sprouting this spring as this year I found very few plants not worthy of harvesting.
Gingsing and elderberry is awesome . I use it all the time . Don't drink COLD water when you coughing & sick. Warm lemon water . Stay away from all sugar & junk food . Sleep & rest & listen to Christian music & worship jesus .God bless you all . Your health is your wealth !!!

He also gave us the miracle covid vaccine & some of us the sense to know why it's important to wear a mask in many situations. Remember the man in the boat that sunk & he asked god why wasn't he saved when he prayed so hard? And god said I sent you people that tried to help you 3 times & 3 times you said 'no, you were waiting for god to save you'? Well, that's what I'd been trying to do...
Whenever I mention to medical personnel that everything the human condition requires to sustain and heal itself grows out of the ground, they either cringe, ignore me, or look at me like some kind of conspiracy nut.
I have stage 4 COPD. Im 58yr female. I had a bag of potting mix , pulled it open and whilst being face over it, i breathed in warm wet air, full of bacteria and spores. 3 days later massive lung infection. 3 months later couldn't breathe without struggling. Multiple tests, COPD diagnosis. I never realised how aggressive it is, and how debilitating. I also had 2x heart valve replacements, so alot of pressure on my heart. I just got out of ICU 22 days in hospital, found out im a CO2 retainer. So now i cant even have oxygen during an exacerbation as its lethal. Im happy, im positive, im actually in a sense relieved and am determined to get another 10yrs out of this mortal life. I cant wait to try some of these herbs. Mother Nature Rocks. I have pulmonary sarcoidosis and I stopped taking the steroids and methotrexate medication my pulmonologist prescribed. I started taking Bromelain , Cats Claw and Folic Acid about a month ago. I’m already having positive results. My cough is almost completely gone and my breathing is soooooo much better. Haven’t used my rescue inhaler in two weeks.
After fighting with the virus flu, I found that my favorite herbs were oregano (every couple of hours), Mullein (removes mucus from lungs), dandelions, and pine needle tea.
Last few days been trying supermarket bottled dried oreganum and now a bit of thyme, as I didn't have the oils.. for COPD. Dandelions I have in the garden.. like the flavour of young leaves.
Reminder: essential oils are bad for you. They destroy the immune system similarly to antibiotics via a few mechanisms including destroying gut biome. Boil an onion and drink the broth. Peel garlic, chop and put in honey jar. Ready the next day, you take a spoon of honey and or chopped garlic. Eating a sauteed onion works the best out of everything I've ever tried though. I'd feel sickness set in and it goes away, even as my family continues on with a cold. You can find mullein under the snow if you don't have it.
My go to concoction is 1. Ginger 2. Garlic 3. Turmeric 4. Cinnamon 5. Honey 6. Lemon All will hot water. Let it sit, cover. Than drain and enjoy! Reuse the ingredients until they don’t have flavor anymore.
I do this too but without cinnamon but with black pepper to activate the turmeric. I also add two green tea teabags. I make it really strong (too strong to drink neat), a Pyrex jug full, then pour a little into a glass and dilute with soda water. As the liquid in the jug diminishes I top up again with boiling water to get the rest of the goodness out of the ingredients, usually the second round doesn’t need diluting. One small glass a day. It’s lovely and refreshing, tastes great and it may or may not be related but I rarely get colds and only had covid once.. 😊. I used to make it without garlic but last time I added one grated clove and wow.. it was good before but what a taste change that brought, love it!
You named my exact morning tea haha. I drink this every morning. Thought I was only one haha. I also add black pepper because it helps to absorb the turmeric better
Ginger is my go-to for helping with wheezing and shortness of breath to keep my asthma away! I make candies out of them. Just peel, slice into circles, boil in water with a tiny bit of sugar and ground cinnamon for sweetness until they become soft and then drain them (save the left over sugar water for syrup!! which is great for tea or coffee!!) put them into the dehydrator until they’re hard and dried out (leave in longer to dry them out completely if storing long term) and you have ginger ‘candies’. You can add elderberry syrup to the water for an extra boost or pretty much anything else for flavor-lemon, oranges, mangoes, etc. It helps almost immediately for wheezing and clears up any phlegm! I haven’t had to use my inhaler in a few years after using ginger! I always keep some on hand and plenty in the pantry! Any tiny pieces that were too small to make into larger ‘candy’ pieces get picked out and separated to be dried together when I put the batches in the dehydrator and I add it to my tea after it’s dried out.
I love ginger. I carry "Gin Gins" candy for car sickness in my car at all times. I also have a tiny car diffuser that I got from Amazon that I put ginger oil in. I just figure it's healthy for breathing, so it keeps my asthma in check. I also have a diffuser at home that I use for lots of different oils. I love my oils.

As a herbalist and former owner of an alternative pharmacy, may I point out that the type of ginseng is important to note. A Chinese or Korean Panax is very stimulating and not everyone can tolerate it. An American Ginseng is much more cooling and may be more appropriate.

Born and raised in Los Angeles (Boyle Heights). During the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s, we were fortunate to live in a diverse city were natural herbs stores owned by Mexican, Japanese and Chinese herbalists shared their natural product for almost any ailment(s) you had. I was amazed at the hundreds of herbs, roots, seeds, dried chicken cartridge (used by Chinese) and their knowledge of how to use each one of them. They were the herb pharmacies of my time. I’ve been to other Countries were they’re still used and the scents bring me back to my youth. Today, in my mid-late 60’s and I still believe in the natural way. ❤️
Hmmm... Really!? What about segregation!? How would you go from one area to the other to see all these different people without being harassed or worse? Doubtful!
I make a homeade vapor rub that has some of the ingredients mentioned in this video. I do 1 cup coconut oil, one cup beeswax, 40 drops of eucalyptus oil, 40 drops of peppermint oil, 20 drops of lavender, and 20 drops of lemon oil. Now that I know of bergamot I might try it too. But anyways the rub is amazing, it's the best household staple when the cold or any nasty virus wants to come around. We put it on our chest, back, and feet before bed and if we have a really heavy cough it's gone within an hour. Truly remarkable what nature can do for us. I appreciate this video I wrote it all down in my notes even the ones I knew about so I can refer to it later and spread the word. I will definitely look into buying the other herbs I didn't know about, I love holistic medicine the earth is so giving ... God always provides!
@@elizabethmountney6243 Yay let me know how it goes! I usually boil water, then put the coconut oil and beeswax in a glass container and set in it the water. This indirectly heats it and helps it melt. The beeswax can be a bit stubborn at first, it takes a little bit. If it needs to be a smoother consistency you can add more coconut oil and/or hemp seed oil which helps it spread a little easier. Trust me you'll love it! It smells amazing as well. 😍
@@surfw50 I'm hoping it helps you as much as it does for us. Im just getting over a virus and when I was stuffy and congested I'd put it on, it's so soothing on the sinuses and helped with the mucus. If you have any questions while making it let me know. I use 1 cup coconut oil and like 1/3 cup of beeswax. It's a good idea to melt the coconut oil first otherwise you will be waiting a longer time for the beeswax to melt down. Once brought to a boil I usually drop the temp setting all the way to one of the lowest settings and keep it going while I mix the wax and the coconut oil together. Once completed melted I take it off the stove and put the essential oils in before it starts to solidify. Personally I use Mason jars, I find they work very well for the melting process. They are good for storage and they are meant for pressure cooking so they seem to be build thicker and better. If I could give the world this vapor rub I would. I've given it to friends, coworkers, and family as gifts. The peppermint and eucalyptus are the healing components in the mixture and I've gotta say my favorite parts they are what makes the magic happen. Anyways good luck, enjoy, and have a blessed day ☺️

@@Cheryl64014 Did the word medication even exist when the original bible was written? I believe that all things ingested have effects, whether thoughts, foods or anything for that matter. As a child I got bronchitis every year, and father was a heavy smoker. Recently I cold brewed in distilled water organic alfalfa pellets. I shook it up daily and after a week had a very strong brew which I drank up. A few hours later my bronchial tubes began to expel mucus, and I could not stop coughing until the mucus was flushed out.
@@nishantha1144 The secret to a good cold brew is distilled water. Distilled water is very "pulling" - just pour over whatever you want to brew, refrigerate, and shake once a day. The water turns a very dark green - then you drink it. I also cold brew some of my herbs with great results - better than alcohol herb tinctures.
My dad and mon always treated us with home remedies and made teas with certain plant leaves. I stick to that and thank God every day for a healthy life.
I've been thinking about planting an herb garden and jokingly say that I am going to plant weeds instead of flowers because they are easier to take care of. Well, while researching common weeds, I found that American Indians used to use many common weeds as relief for various afflictions.

In addition to these suggestions, drink plain hot water, too, at the temperature of hot tea or coffee. The heat loosens phlegm almost instantly and the fluid keeps it loose. Cold or iced beverages thicken mucus.
@Linda Abbott Hi! The research is and has been out there for thousands of years! Plenty of books can be found everywhere. they push a "pill for every ill". Pharma pills ONLY alleviate symptoms, they dont cure ya. For every pill - due to it being a "foreign" compound, the body actually works against this invader. SOME is absorbed, while that is going on, your body is being depleted of other nutrients (mostly magnesium), which causes more bodily function problems (you can google: medications that deplete your body), so you go to the dr to alleviate those new probs, add another pill... pretty soon you are on 10 drugs. There are a number of tinctures one can make. Maybe 15 years ago some old timers had mentioned done they drank a tablespoon of daily and it greatly helped their diabetes and among other issues. I decided to give it a try. Equal parts grated ginger, garlic, horseradish root, onion, and hot peppers. Add some honey and cover with raw, unfiltered ACV. Shake every day for a month, then squeeze the rest of the liquid out of the solids. I took it daily for a few years and never got so much as a cold. I got lazy and stopped doing it and I was again susceptible to season allergies, colds, etc. Not badly as I'm a pretty healthy person, but it was very noticeable. I only recently began a new batch. It'll be done just in time as everything starts to be coated yellow with pollen. My area of the south is listed as the absolute worst for it as we have every form of forest (as far as pollen producing) in America in the same place. I'm curious how if it has the same effect as it did years ago or if it was just a coincidence.

I've been using peppermint for years. One year I had Bronchitis three times in a row. I live near a mint farm and was playing with some peppermint. Breathing the aroma, using as an ingredient cooking, and just adding it to a coke for a different taste. After a week of mint coke I realized my breathing was much better and no more bronchitis. Thank you for this information. My partner has COPD, and I have constant allergy flare-ups. I hadn’t realised that our very small garden was full of so many beneficial herbs that would help us both! All I need to do is clip a bunch of them regularly and keep them in our open plan kitchen and living room, then just breath in! I also put saucers of the dried herbs in each bedroom and the bathroom. I hope over time it will start to have a good effect! 🥰🙏
I wanted to work for an holistic Dr. When I finished my medical assisting coarse in the 70's. I also had an instructor that told us and gave each of us a tea bag of ginseng and the many benefits of it. While reading herbs are mentioned in the bible as well.
Since Lavender, bergamot, peppermint and mullein (grows crazy near us) are easily accessible to me, I will try these first. I have a mullein tincture ready to strain just in time for flu and cold season. BTW Bergamot is a perennial floral plant (aka Bee Balm). Grows well with little care. Bees adore it too. 😉
Nah. Your Bergamot, a.k.a. Oswego Tea, is a North American Mint family herb, namely a couple of species of the Monarda Genus. What this video is referring to is a vanishingly rare variety of Citrus. I wish I could find heat and Calcium-resistant strains of Monarda fistulosa or/and M. didyma that'd survive and be actually perennial in the merciless climate of the Middle East! That stuff is delicious, and it brings intestinal Peace but has little if any respiratory benefits.

Yes it is and japanese peppermint essential oil is the best of them. I had a very bad influensa in 2012 with difficulty in breathing -shortness of breath and I honestly thought I might not take another before I somehow managed to. I sprinkled a few drops of the japanese peppermint oil in hot steaming water and breathed in the steam. It is important to close your eyes during this procedure because the steam contains the oil and it is not good for the eyes. But this procedure probably saved me from going to hospital och dying. I repeated the procedure for the next day and night and my breath got easier and easier. Later my brother´s little son had a croup-like fit and my brother then poured a hot bath, sprinkled some drops of the oil and then sat with his son in the bathroom (not in the tub but next to it) with closed doors. His son got better and restored to normal breath. So when I get a cold och an influensa I start immediately using peppermint oil - sprinkling it on a cloth next to my pillow.
Just make sure it's not the poor quality non-working imposter: corn mint as some people will use that in their products. Smells similar but doesn't compare.

Please NEVER make mullien tea without straining it through a coffee filter. The tiny hairline fibers on the leaves can do wicked damage to the digestive track.
I’d skip the aspirin personally. Everything else you say is good. 👍🏾✨ If you want to thin the blood, healthily , and nutritionally - flax oil daily, and optimal hydration.
I learned a great deal today. I like peppermint and lavender. I even used some peppermint tea last night to ease my congestion enough to breathe easier, allowing me to sleep a little.

Except orthopedics is awesome. Oh and ginger root. Getting ready to chew a big piece of it raw now. I'm surprised this list doesn't include these two herbs.
I've been taking Ginseng for over 40 years. I haven't caught a cold for about the same length of time. I believe it is the Ginseng which increases my stamina. There were certain times in my life that I craved unusual things such as horehound drops and Bergamot. During one pregnancy I even had a hideous craving for canned spinach so I suppose I was lacking a certain vitamin. Now, that I'm older I listen to my body
I have been using Mullein for several weeks now. I can tell a major improvement in breathing. Dried Mullein made into a tea every evening even makes sleeping easier. Good stuff.
@RichardPrice Do you mean the leaves?? No one is saying exactly what they use. Grand Mullein grows in my allotment (biannually), which I use leaves for silk dying wondrous gold. I consequently sore them dried also, but as a long-covid recoveree, I can try this tea!
Yes. We dry the leaves and then crush them, store them in a sealed container. We use them like tea leaves, to make a tea. It has an excellent taste when sweetened.
It WARMS the body sooo well, as it dilates the blood vessels, improving circulation! I use it in my coffee and hot teas! Gooood esp in cold winter! I literally remove layers of clothes when drinking it!
I haven taken Cayenne capsules for a long time to boost metabolism, and discovered it was very helpful in preventing me from having to use my rescue inhaler almost completely. Still struggle a little with allergies and cold air often require occasionally using inhaler. But i went from refills on inhalers every 2 weeks to only asking for one whenever I was about to run out.. just to be safe! So now one maybe 2 rescue inhalers a year!
Excellent video as I'm into nutritional medicine I know 90 percent it's the only way to go if more people got into this sort of nutritional and herbal renedies we wouldn't have half as many sick people. Thanks
I have found Peppermint also helps with some pain I get as I feel the pain is Gas related. I use a cany called " Red Birds". soft round mints. They relax the tension and the pain eases up after as little as 5 minutes (that depends on how bad the pain is at that time. Again these mints are light and dissolves in your mouth in minutes. I don't use pain meds as I was once Hypoglycemic and was told to be careful what I used for pain. RED BIRDS are very affordable. $1for a 40 count piece/ individually wrapped bag.
Let's not forget about Plantain leaf tincture and Feverfew leaf and flower tincture! These two along with Mullein tincture has helped alleviate my husband's COPD tremendously.
I've been taking Quercetin for many years to help with allergies and now have heard that it is important in both prevention and treatment of the Covid virus. A doctor discussing the Covid virus recommended 3 things: Quercetin, saline nasal spray and the original Listerine mouthwash.
@@soakingsongs Just as an addition, Covid lives in the nostrils. It cannot develop immunity to Betadine or honey, which can both treat Staph, as well. Dilute betadine to half, swab deep as comfortable and gently as possible with that, and honey. 2 times a day. But, don't trust my advice or anyone else's without looking into it. Google this: efficacy of nasal application of povidone iodine (betadine) in Covid. Same search for honey.

I found mullein locally and made tinctures of it as I have COPD. For this past year (2022) I consumed one quarter teaspoon when congested and found relief for 8 hours each time. After fighting with the virus flu, I found that my favorite herbs were oregano (every couple of hours), Mullein (removes mucus from lungs), dandelions, and pine needle tea.
Pine needle tea is excellent!! 🙏🏼

My go to concoction is
1. Ginger
2. Garlic
3. Turmeric
4. Cinnamon
5. Honey
6. Lemon
All will hot water.

@@elizabethmountney6243 Yay let me know how it goes! I usually boil water, then put the coconut oil and beeswax in a glass container and set in it the water. If it needs to be a smoother consistency you can add more coconut oil and/or hemp seed oil which helps it spread a little easier. Trust me you'll love it! It smells amazing as well. 😍

Good for him 👏 he’s smart 😌 they jus prescribe u pills so u can pay them 💰 n then once the side effects of those pills u been taking kicks in! They prescribe u with a new pill! N they can jus keep on going til ya dead🤣
My motto. Nooo pills 💊. Pharmaceutical BUSINESS. (God) is my medicine and even tho I don’t eat as healthy as I should be all the time still we all should be eating the plants 🌱 that he gave us more.

they push a "pill for every ill". Like statins - they deplete your body of COQ10, etc

No doubt they will cure all forms of cancer too. Lol

Now when I feel a cold or other breathing ailment coming on here comes the mint coke. I also keep a small bottle of it in my pocket at all times. It's good for so much more.
I love mullen extract and oregano extracts for lungs health issues. Works so well.

He said it's a citrus fruit.

Hi! Are you able to sell your tincture?
Peppermint is really, really good for breathing, I can attest to its efficacy.
How do you use it? Dose..etc., please.
Just make sure it's not the poor quality non-working imposter: corn mint as some people will use that in their products. Smells similar but doesn't compare.

I’m glad i came acrossed this video. I get sinus infections like crazy. And right now i wake up every morning coughing up lougies every morning.
Thanks for this. Not all works for everybody. What works for me for the throat and lungs are ginger, thyme, and eucalyptus.
Please NEVER make mullien tea without straining it through a coffee filter. The tiny hairline fibers on the leaves can do wicked damage to the digestive track.
Steaming with Eucalyptus oil Open lungs. Daily intake of Vit D3, C, Zinc and Asprin helps.

I’d skip the aspirin personally. Everything else you say is good. 👍🏾✨
If you want to thin the blood, healthily , and nutritionally - flax oil daily, and optimal hydration.
I learned a great deal today. I like peppermint and lavender. I even used some peppermint tea last night to ease my congestion enough to breathe easier, allowing me to sleep a little.
Fenugreek!!! Rinse seeds, then soak overnight, drain and warm the yellowish liquid and drink... Good for loosening mucous.

I love herbs: peppermint, lavender and methol are some i use. Just wish I had sat at my Grandmother's feet because she really knew herbs! Some I remember are yellow root for blatter/kidney infections; Sassafras tea, mustard poultice to the chest for congestion, etc.

I've been taking Quercetin for many years to help with allergies and now have heard that it is important in both prevention and treatment of the Covid virus. A doctor discussing the Covid virus recommended 3 things: Quercetin, saline nasal spray and the original Listerine mouthwash.
