I haven't a reduced appetite with Copd ..but I do have a problem when eating ,as it stretches the stomach which in turn presses on the lungs , restricting airflow even more so than it is already . So its not the appetite that causes many to cut down on eating its knowing that there's not enough room for expansion once food is eaten. But many of us choose to eat little and often instead .

I was told I have COPD 12 years ago by a respiratory therapist while I was in the hospital recuperating from bypass surgery. I denied it, but guess what's happening now? Hi Daniel I quit smoking in 2012 I couldn't understand why after 2years without I was suffocating. I read an article which claimed tobacco leaves fungal spors in the lungs that feed off sugar and that manuka honey helped shift it .I didn't call the writer a liar I had nothing to lose after a fortnight of a teaspoon every morning I no longer had to rest for air. Good luck
