If you expect Scag or Exmark cut quality then buy one of those mowers. Bad Boy is made simple and cheap with a big open deck to cut grass and get it out the discharge as quick as possible. Scag decks are made to "groom" the grass with the design of the baffles but it also costs more. Cheap and dull blades are the main reason the cut sucks. Use Oregon high lift or Gator blades and keep them sharp, you won't have a problem. If you still do and the deck is noisy, the cheap ass sealed spindle bearings are the problem. A Bad Boy is the Chevy of mowers, not the Cadillac.
