    Looking at purchasing one of these for my Mowing business. I've used a magnum 54" the last 2 years and realize now with a goal of 70 yards i need a commercial mower. As far as those knobs go that keep coming loose, I'd put actual bolts on your handles, deck pedal, any others you know you won't need to keep where you can untighten by hand. As the another poster said, i screwed 2- 1'-2x4s behind each wheel as wheel chocks and don't need to ratchet mine down. Bad boys are great mowers it just sucks all this piddly cosmetic stuff becomes a pain. Great informative video!

    • @RogersLawnCare
      @RogersLawnCare  6 месяцев назад +1

      Well after a few rains them knobs haven’t came loose anymore and they kinda got stuck on there I guess from a little rust I say lol. And I got the break on my mower to do a little better I adjusted it and its doing a lot better and staying put on my trailer. Commercial mowers are a must if ur gonna be mowing a lot of yards. Makes it a lot easier. Thank you and sorry for not responding back faster just now saw this! 👍🏻

    • @cameronbachelor4066
      @cameronbachelor4066 6 месяцев назад +2

      No problem! Again very informative video, it just showed me that everything on these are mechanically sound which is good. I can deal with the cosmetic stuff. I've always read the Kohler motors are the way to go but I've personally never had a Kawasaki so can't really speak on that. Glad to hear you got the parking brake adjusted. Those rusted knobs are not a bad thing either. When you need them loose, remove them and replace with bolts would be my go to lol. What do you do in the winter months? Part of my business is property management so I do tree work, general contractor type stuff to keep busy.

      @@cameronbachelor4066 yea Kawasaki motors have always been good for me and a lot of other people I know have had good luck with them. I usually do some landscaping projects. I always paint and draw so I do alot of art projects for people. I can post that in the future for people to see if they wanna see that.

    • @RogersLawnCare
      @RogersLawnCare  Месяц назад +1

      I would personally go with the Rebel. Mavericks are nice but I don’t think they are made as solid and the rebels. The price point is pretty nice considering the build quality and that it’s a commercial grade. Really good mowers can’t complain. I have seen a lot of people get the mavericks and love them to tho. GO VOLS and thank you!

    You can add some Loctite on the screw for the handles that keep coming loose or I took a pair of pliers and tightened it real tight. Don’t overtighten it but it’s been good for me for two years.

    If you screw a 2x4 to the deck of your trailer right behind the back tires of the mower it will keep it from rolling or moving around on the trailer and you won’t have to strap it down every time. Just put the board up against the tires and screw it down.

    My motor developed glazed cylinders at 490 hours. Seemed to be a manufacturer defect. Kohler command pro 27 hp. Warranty covered a new block and now it has a lifter tick on the new one. Aside from that its the best mower ive ran and ive ran many commercial grade machines. Cut quality on this machine is significantly better than any other machine I've ran. Thats why if this motor goes I'll say screw the warranty and get a Kawasaki. As for the star knobs, you can use the nuts from the ROPS as a replacement. Additionally, the machine weighs 1250 lbs and the hydro gear is underpowered for the machine, you have to mow hills diagonally forward and backwards w the back tires to the bottom of the hill. Mine surges too after a group of lawns when i turn off the blades

    • @RogersLawnCare
      @RogersLawnCare  2 месяца назад

      The Kawasaki has done me good so far. I am at 200hrs now with it. I hope nothing happens but I still have my warranty as well so will see. The cut quality is still great and I still love the mower. Yea would like to have some better pumps but it is what it is. I got the surging fixed and it hasn’t came back since so I’m glad. 👍🏻

    • @RogersLawnCare
      @RogersLawnCare  Год назад +1

      Yea I definitely recommend it man! It’s a solid mower. Thick metal and tough deck. Cut quality is great. Does fine on gas but mine is a 27hp so that could differ. Mine hasn’t bogged down on wet grass or thicker grass yet. If u have a lot of hills it will slide but that could have something to do with the tires I have on mine also. If ur just using it for your home then it’s a definite yes u should definitely consider one.
