      @@Julie_Zeferino Yes, you can for sure make videos for RUclips using the Canon T-Series cameras...your only struggle is going to be audio as they do not have a mic input, (unless you have a T6i) but you can buy external audio recorders too....

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  4 года назад

      I would sell and upgrade. To me the 4 most important features a camera should have for most "RUclips" scenarios, are: Input for external Mic, Flip Screen, Auto-Focus and minimum 1080p...the T3 has none of those...
      Some cameras that meet those criteria are the Canon T5i etc, the SL2,and the m50. The sony a6000 series is very good too.

    Hi, what is the best lens do you recommend for T3 for making atleast high quality cinematic videos and films? Can the lens contribute to making the resolution high quality? I'm new to this kind of stuff.

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  8 месяцев назад

      The T3 will not create "high quality" it's only 720p. A lens can really only alter depth of field and relative light let into the camera. So any lens that can achieve a "lower aperture" (ie: the 50mm f1.8) can give a "more cinematic look" but those lenses are often more expensive (besides the one I mentioned, it's cheap).

      Make sure the switch on the lense is set to "AF" (AutoFocus) and not "MF" (ManualFocus). Then press the shutter button half way and it'll adjust for the photo. I find that the "quick focus" setting in the menu work best for me, as far as AF type.
      If for video, in the menu you set the camera to "AF with shutter button during 🎥". Then you'll be able to adjust during video the same way as for photos.

      It doesn't have continuous autofocus. If put the lens on AF and hold down the shutter release, it will autofocus (slowly) on where ever the box is on the screen. When the box turns green, it's in focus. But if the object moves forward or back, you will lose focus...especially if you're zoomed in. Wider = more stays in focus at a time.

    I Want to record for more than 30 minutes, how do I make this camera doo this

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  4 года назад

      The T3 (and most other Canon DSLR Cameras) is limited to a maximum of 29 minutes, 59 seconds, thanks to European tax regulations! But it also has a 4GB limit on video file sizes which could also restrict you to even shorter video clips than that

    Does this camera record in 4K

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  4 года назад

      This camera only actually records in 720p. Only the m50, m6 mkii, T8i, 90D and EOS R/RP cameras film in 4k for Canon at the moment.

    whenever i try to film something, the camera just stops after like 5 seconds of filming. what should i do to fix this?

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  4 года назад

      Check the second menu, in a thing called "Video Snapshot" and make sure it's disabled. Another reason this happens sometimes, is if you're using an incompatible SD Card. Let me know if that works...?

    Why my t3 stops video recordings automatically after 20 mints, its has 32 gb sd card in it

    • @ThisGuy
      @ThisGuy  3 года назад

      Most DSLR cameras have a record limit between 20-30 mins. Some for over-heating issues, other for Tax/Tarif reasons, others for both. Sorry.

      You are probably not on "video mode" on the dial on top of the camera (spin to the video camera, NONE of the other ones are for video on rebel cameras. Was that the issue? Let me know.
