They found a corpse (i forgot if it was just one or more) inside a bathroom and they said the kid probably died from famine because there weren't physical signs that showed he/she drowned. When ships capsize, there are still some air pockets inside so probably that bathroom happened to be one. But the rescue took too long to find him/her so he/she died from famine instead.

They believed that they will be saved. They listened to captain and stayed inside of the cabins. They waited for instructions when no one was there to give them instructions and they didn't knew that. They asked if the teachers were okay. They joked there laugh there (for sometime) believing that they're gonna walk again on ground untill they experienced the water filling inside of the cabins, they're holding eachother tightly hugging eachother and crying and screaming, when they can't breathe anymore, they are remembering everything they left on home or left to do, remembering their loving ones suddenly when they can't hold their breath anymore and everything went black. Allinonestan apparently the captain didn't follow the instructions of the coast guard or something and evacuated the crew members before telling the students to evacuate by the time he told them, it was too late
I'm positive it was on purpose too. There was at least one airhole in the ship, they survived there after it sunk and they send messages that they were still alive and needed help. The government is trying to cover this. Also some recovered bodies have never touched any water meaning they didn't drown

They were like you they had dreams goals aspirations and they wanted to live find love have some kids. In these moments some tried to stay calm other joked some yelled some cried but they all had hopes of being saved. Yet....because of this captain and the government stopping people from helping the world has lost over 300 innocent kids who knows one of them could have been the best president or best rapper. I'm keeping them in my thoughts and prayers every day I only hope they victims can rest in peace and those that survived can try an live, the families of this victims can cope and get justice, that captain to live a painful life and for the Korean government to learn from this incident.
2022 now. Still breaks my heart what happened in this incident. So senseless, and worsened by the fact that they refused external help and that some kids died from hypothermia or lack of oxygen after more than a day in air pockets... 💔
Pretty sure they said there weren't any possibilities for air pockets, If I'm correct (could be wrong) the president was aware of this fact. or something like that, I saw it in a video on YT by The New York Times
How does this guy, get to be captain? An unsupervised inexperienced helmsman? No sonar turned on? because what it sounds like, is it the water was too shallow. Makes no sense. Can't the captain, know and read charts? Has he ever studied navigation? with a life rafts strapped to his boat.. he decides to abandon ship? What kind of captain is that? How does he get that kind of a job? I don't buy any of it. An eperienced sea captain with a job like that? Too many mistakes in one day. I don't believe any of it. With someone like that they' are better off with surfboards. Then on board, his ship.
he's such an evil person..killing almost all the people on board i hope he gets hunted by the students...if he just use his brain then maybe theres a chance that these students will still be alive they want to live longer and then just in one day all of there dreams, sacrifices and happiness are all gone now and those angels will never be seen again but its fine theyre in paradise called heaven theyre now angels i hope this wont repeat again to the future

It’s been almost four years....I knew no one...and I’m not even Korean...but this is agonizing to rewatch...can you imagine the fear of these kids? They’re like my age thinking and wondering if that was it...other documentaries shows videos of some children looking out a window as the ship was going under banging them selves against the window...there life jackets standing out and just a few feet away from that there is a rescue boat pulling the students who jumped off to safety...it is said that the bodies that were recovered had broken or fractured fingers and hands...this was because they were banging on windows trying to break free or get the attention of the rescuers or desperately holding on the railings as the ship tilted...I pray that they’re resting and that the family won’t be suffering during this time....💛💛💛
I can’t with the loudspeaker🙄 “please make sure your vests are tightly tied” tf? They knew damn well that they weren’t gonna live in the cabins, why not say “please carefully in orderly fashion abandon the ship” I feel so bad for the families and friends of the students who passed AND my prayers for the students who are now living but are living in trauma

I'm sorry, but to be clear - those are the voices of the student that have perished? Why were they sitting in a hallway, when the ship was sideways? What were the surviving students doing at this time? Were they the ones jumping into the water?
For some reason, the ships's crew members asked them to go back to their places and that the students trusted the crew and stayed in the area designated by the crew. I think that the students might have a higher chance of surviving had they jumped into water as the ships rush to the location of the accident. I am saying that because if the students are still inside the ship when it's sinking, their chance of being rescued in time is dramatically reduced and that no matter what they do, will not be able to save them. I think that the students should have been order to stand on the decks of the ship and that there should be crews checking the quarters to see if there are anyone left in there and if there are, they should have pulled the students out and drag the students to the deck. I am just sadden at how a trip that should have been fun and all have to end like this. I do hope that they put in laws that will prevent this from happening again. In the end, I offer my condolences to the families.
***** I realize it sound incredibly insensitive, but in hindsight knowing the crew (including the captain himself) were jumping overboard, you would think the students would've clued into the fact that they are in a lot of danger, and should perhaps follow everyone jumping into the water.
N0616JC Productions It would've been difficult for them to jump into the water. They were trapped. Those who survived either started to make their way out early enough, or had to break windows with the help of people on the outside.
See? Their parents must be happy because they are successful in their studies but the expectation of seeing smiles and tears of joy turns into sadness and in pain. Rest in peace to those students who wants nothing but to survive and meet again their loved ones.

It's so frustrating. I expected this from my country (we're third world) but not from them. Despite history showing that Koreans have this "hierarchy" of only the rich having power, I don't know, I expected more. I thought they were more developed. Ughh.
Sorry, my answer was too long and probably stating things you already know. It's just so fustrating how they didn't and don't care. (Here I go again haha) They continued acting they could rescue the boat. They kept lying. They ordered the civilian divers to stop rescuing bodies. They regarded messages of kids asking to be saved and others, as fabrications.
*I hear diving bell is a great documentary about this. I'm planning to watch it later.*

There were even some students who managed to escape from drowning but instead died from hunger. 😭😭
where did you get this news? link please
@@nanahachiko1084 it was years ago so i already forgot which (i watched so many documentaries about this). It was a documentary of the search while it was still ongoing.

"Don't worry, we're gonna live. I'll see you then." - some natural young leaders; the strength in their voice- we've lost treasures
When one student said, "Don't worry, we're going to live. I'll see you then." I started to cry.
This is so painful... They were hugging each other, climbing over each other just to get out, the corridors were filled with water, *freezing* water, and the ship was upside down! No light, no air, crying, shouting... and the divers after the disaster, searching for dead boddies stuck in the ship and even years later still missing 3 passenger! This was a hole murder and disaster! Rest in peace you beatiful souls 💛.
This is so heartbreaking:(
*even after 5 years, it still is 😔*
"don't worry, we're gonna live, I'll see you then...." " I want to see my mom"... In another video I've seen more, they boys were joking like "I've so many japanese animation left" "will this be on news?" "Is it going to end up like Titanic?" others are like "who'll take care of my sister" "mom, dad I love you" "noona we fight a lot but thank you" "hyung I want to see you but I'm going without seeing you" "don't worry we'll survive" "I don't wanna die"
They had so much hope.
REST IN PEACE
can you share the link of the other video you are talking about? pls-
The boys videos was way more too much emotional... It was really heartbreaking and that one boy even made a diss rap to the captain. 💔

You can say what you want but i think it was planned. No normal thinking human would've done this and specially not people who were trained.
It all seems very wrong and fishy to me.
Allinonestan apparently the captain didn't follow the instructions of the coast guard or something and evacuated the crew members before telling the students to evacuate by the time he told them, it was too late
It was not planned don’t say such horrible things
I'm positive it was on purpose too. There was at least one airhole in the ship, they survived there after it sunk and they send messages that they were still alive and needed help. The government is trying to cover this. Also some recovered bodies have never touched any water meaning they didn't drown
@@이달의소녀이브 If they didn't drown then what happened to them?
@@veve58 I don't know but I guess starvation or injuries maybe suicide too. They were long enough there to even change their clothes. In what kind of situation would you change when you are underwater so they must have been alive pretty long I suspect
"I want to see my mom"
Their words broke my heart 😥😭
RIP angels 🎗
Its three years now but today I decided to go through these videos in remembrance of this tradedy. The heartbreaking this is they were children just like I.
The ones that joked they tried to have their last fun moments together
but if you hear their voices, they are shaky. Some people try to lighten the mood with humor.
Captain is doing life in prison I heard. am I correct?

unrelated, but i just saw this comment turn 2, so just know someone’s thanking you for this comment :)
I cry on all these videos of this tragedy. Such innocent souls meeting a cruel death
Yes an most were young. Heartbroken
2022 now. Still breaks my heart what happened in this incident. So senseless, and worsened by the fact that they refused external help and that some kids died from hypothermia or lack of oxygen after more than a day in air pockets... 💔
😭😭😭
Pretty sure they said there weren't any possibilities for air pockets, If I'm correct (could be wrong) the president was aware of this fact. or something like that, I saw it in a video on YT by The New York Times
Yeah
How does this guy, get to be captain? An unsupervised inexperienced helmsman? No sonar turned on? because what it sounds like, is it the water was too shallow. Makes no sense. Can't the captain, know and read charts? Has he ever studied navigation? with a life rafts strapped to his boat.. he decides to abandon ship?
What kind of captain is that? How does he get that kind of a job? I don't buy any of it. An eperienced sea captain with a job like that? Too many mistakes in one day. I don't believe any of it. With someone like that they' are better off with surfboards. Then on board, his ship.
he's such an evil person..killing almost all the people on board i hope he gets hunted by the students...if he just use his brain then maybe theres a chance that these students will still be alive they want to live longer and then just in one day all of there dreams, sacrifices and happiness are all gone now and those angels will never be seen again but its fine theyre in paradise called heaven theyre now angels i hope this wont repeat again to the future
w0_0zi _ do not murder on behalf of innocent victims, their lives are not a justification for murder, instead of thinking of changing the system of affairs you instead choose to cycle yourself In hate.
It was said the original captain took on a leave(?)(i cant remember if it was a leave or an emergency he had to attend to) on the day before the incident and another inexperienced captain was said to drive the ship...
This was probably planned.

Did anyone else start crying right when they saw people in the video crying? Me.
Still watching this in 2019 poor students who stay positive even their life is in danger...It’s so sad that they are still positive before they die..#justice #rip

I was working in Korea at an Academy that day. My God... the whole campus was in utter shock. The teachers office was stunned silent for 2 days straight. Stunned. STUNNED. I will never ever forget that. I went to Danwon HS on the Sunday after. Now I have been a Police Officer in a prior life and have dealt with death n the Dead, but never had I felt the chills as strong as I did that day. I ended up up going into the middle of the soccer pitch, looking around, and singing You'll Never Walk Alone to myself, also remembering those Liverpool fans who lost their lives at Hillsborough 25 years earlier. Still tear up to this day. We will not forget you kids.

R.I.P students that died fly high beautiful souls⚰️🕊️
It's been 7 years my heart still cry for them.
When I heard about this and listening to their voice, I couldn't stop my tears.
I'm sorry, but to be clear - those are the voices of the student that have perished? Why were they sitting in a hallway, when the ship was sideways? What were the surviving students doing at this time? Were they the ones jumping into the water?
Yes, these are the ones who didn't make it.
Learned Hand I didn't hear any student mention feeling or being trapped.
This is the first time I'm hearing about this now and it's extremely heartbreaking 😔
See? Their parents must be happy because they are successful in their studies but the expectation of seeing smiles and tears of joy turns into sadness and in pain. Rest in peace to those students who wants nothing but to survive and meet again their loved ones.

it is very sad because YESTERDAY i showed this news to my family and the thing is I haven't seen or met my korea cousin for five years.. I forgot who her name was because i only met her twice i guess. My mom told me there is MY COUSIN on that ship and she died, and also the reason why we cant go to the funeral at south korea because we didnt have much money that time.. I was VERY sad and angry at the same time. Because I havent said how much I love her, like I didnt show how much my love to her yet. if she survived that ferry accident she is 22 yrs now.. I cried SO hard nonstop.. but I realized she's in happier place now and I NEED to let go of her. I wanna tell that I love her so much even though we aren't that close..

A diver found students together. Apparently most of them had broken fingers due to trying to escape to hard.🎗❤💔😭😭
It's true that the students were found hugging each other or tying life vests together to avoid seperation. Most of the cabins had space for max of 20 students. One of the divers found a cabin that had 80 girls, all huddled together..
