Nice. Sounds like a good solution! Others have noted in the comments how a soap could be damaging to the rubber. I've personally not had any issues but I can see why that might be the case
I use wax shavings or graphite powder for pivot cup and wax the bushings/contact points. Hand sanitizer is alcohol based, I’d trust liquid or even bar soap over it
Not really, its just the rubber on the bushing squeaking. Bushings end up pretty much disintegrating anyway theres not much you can do to stop that as they are being squeezed all the time when you are turning, grinding etc. Luckily they are really cheap to replace!
I am going to try this. I think it was Ben Degros or somebody said it was your pivot cups and the hanger rubbing together causing the squeak and to shave some wax and put it in the pivot cups to get rid of the squeak. I tried that but my trucks are still squeaking.
Wax is probably a better solution as it last longer. Worth trying this as well though if that didn't work. I do pivot cup and bushing with wax and that seems to solve it for me
You can fix it without taking apart your trucks. All you have to do is wipe it around the pivot cup then move your trucks back and forth. Then it’s good
Not thought of that - would that be due to the moisture? It may be better to use wax in that case although I've not noticed any on mine and have done it a couple of times
Maybe check ebay or you local skate shop? Usually they have them for very cheap. You can also use standard sockets or spanners if you have any lying round :)
Thank you so much! This gives me so much more confidence when skating for some reason
Thats awesome, glad to hear its helped you
Thanks for this! I tried Chapstick as it is closer to wax and it worked like a charm! Just put some on the end of a cotton swab and spread it around.

Is it still quiet or it it squeeky again
@@naqire still quiet. I think Chapstick is a great solution and would recommend!
tysm all my friends had like really quiet trucks and i had really sqeaky trucks so this helped out alot!
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
Dude you are AMAZING! i was getting so annoyed about the noise... THANK YOU!
No problem, glad to help! a little bit of wax can work too!
Bro thanks so much it was getting annoying lol but now it makes no noise at all
glad to hear it man!

Great tips...
...but I've a top tip for you
Don't get caught skating on your mom's carpet!!
As they tend to get angry if ya do!
lol dont worry I've got my own place. Sound advice though ;)
Is it bad if they start squeaking? I’m just wondering because it’s kind of annoying but I’m more worried if it will hurt my board

this works very well! hope it doesnt damage anything on the longterm!
Fingers crossed man. I’ve not had any issues with mine but if you are worried maybe try using some wax instead 👍
@@iamlazyskater yeah when i need to redo it i will use wax, just to be sure :) thx
This helped so much
Glad to hear it 🙌

Thanks a lot! 😊

Yo thanks a lot man! I have been keeping an eye on it and just saw now. Much appreciated :)
Great and easy

Nice. I tend to use some wax now which seems to last a bit longer 👍
What is your bearing abec rating and how do your wheels spin for so long.
Yo I had Bones Reds in when I was filming this. Highly recommend them - amzn.to/2DfrpvC .
@@iamlazyskater thanks
np :)
@@iamlazyskater your squeaky truck thing worked thank you :0
Nice one! Glad to hear that 👍
And it won’t get sticky and gross after awhile?
Not had any issues - maybe just make sure you don't go too crazy when you are applying it. You only need a tiny amount on each bushing!
@@iamlazyskater Thanks, just did it and it worked perfectly
Thank you for still replying to comments
Always try! Thanks for watching!
for how long it lasts.
Hey man, it lasts a good few weeks I've found. I think you can use skate wax as well, that may last a bit longer
Thankssss alot, mon!🙏🏾💎
No problem man, thanks for watching!
Great video what's the song called in the background?
Its just something I knocked together man, I've never released it, I just use them for my videos :)
Okay that's sick. Sample from any songs or all original beat?
was a sample that one yeah, can't remember the record now though
@@iamlazyskater well done
I've just bought my Skateboard and tried Ollie's for an hour and it started squeaking should I be worried ?
No its fine, all skateboard trucks squeak, its just the rubbers moving around!
Can I use soap bar shavings as I heard a few people do it like that?
I imagine that would work as well. Skate wax or candle wax is also a good choice
Goat
Thanks for watching
Can I clean it without taking them off? I don't have the tools
no not really, you need to get the wax or dish soap into the cups of the trucks and around the bushings for it to stop the squeek!
Wont dish soap rust the trucks?
Not thought of that - would that be due to the moisture? It may be better to use wax in that case although I've not noticed any on mine and have done it a couple of times
@@iamlazyskater ok, mime started to rust so imma stick 2 wd40
cool man, i was wondering if a bit of vasaline might be a good alternative as well
@@iamlazyskater maybe thx
@@gadgetpro7820 i don't think wd-40 is a good idea
How long does this last till I have to do it again
Yo man - not too sure off the top of my head sorry. Guess it depends how much you skate as well but imagine it would last a good few weeks
For me I tried skate wax and it doesn’t makes a sound
Skate wax can work too yeah!
I use finely grated wax do not use any kind of soaps/handcleaner anything with alcohol in it will dry your bushings and pivot cups out
I've not had any problems with this method tbh but yeah I imagine wax is a better option!
How often do you have to do this?
It depends how much you skate really. Probably every month or so. You can also try wax
My trucks are extremely, but I dont have a skate tool to get them off :(
Maybe check ebay or you local skate shop? Usually they have them for very cheap. You can also use standard sockets or spanners if you have any lying round :)
@@iamlazyskater what are sockets or spanners
Does squeaky sound ruins our board?
not really, its just the rubber and metal parts of the trucks rubbing together. This is just if you find the sound annoying :)
I did this and now my trucks make a loud cracking sound every time I move them . Why idea why this is?
No idea. Did you definitely put all the parts back together properly?
@@iamlazyskater yea 100%. I’ve just taken it apart again and cleaned most of the dish soap out and it’s sweet as. I prolly just put too much
Glad you got it sorted!
Thanks broooo, every noice is gone!!!
Glad to hear it!
But unfortunately it is back now, so gotta do it again
I just used the hand sanitizer me and bro stole from the school xd
lol if it works it works! 😅
No need for soap...
Just use a plain white candle to rub on it...or better yet...skate wax...
Cheers man yeah wax will work as well, I think I've used some in the past myself
dont use this ur bushings will be squeaky even if you just ride bruh
They don't squeak at all when you do this
