  • What an excellent takeoff! I didn't know it at the time, but this was the last American Airlines 757 takeoff I was able to capture as they have been retired! Watch as we race down runway 1 at Washington Reagan National Airport and lift off over the Potomac River! We immediately turn left over Gravelly Point and continue to climb with a great view of the Pentagon! We continue to climb further with excellent views of the Capital beltway and Tysons Corner! The 757 is such an awesome aircraft and you can hear excellent Rolls Royce RB211 engine sounds throughout the video! The sunset is excellent as well! Perhaps it's fitting considering this may well have been the last American Airlines 757 takeoff video I'll have had the opportunity to film! Service on board was excellent and the flight was on time! Filmed from the Main Cabin Extra cabin on board American Airlines! Flight 685 to Phoenix. 2/19/2020.

Thank you for another terrific video! Your video titled "Full Throttle HD 757 Takeoff Through an Intense Miami Rainstorm!!!" is quite possibly my all-time favorite takeoff video. It's a display of absolutely incredible power of the 757-223 and its Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4B turbofans. Thanks again!

Wait, are they getting retired this year now or next year? I was going to have a flight on one and then a 767 cancelled due to COVID-19, but both look like they're on the chopping block due to COVID.

757 was an overpowered hot rod. Love the spool-up whine of those 211's followed by their characteristic buzzsaw sound.

Hopefully, I'm able to get a few more flights on Delta and United 757s before they go as well. I have a feeling Delta will keep theirs the longest.

Hey Mah584jr HD Aviation, If you are still active, we all need you to come back and please upload more videos. You truly have the best aviation videos in the world. Especially these 757 Takeoff videos, the engines on this plane are music to my ears. It has been 4 years now and we all need you to start uploading again and catch on some more 757’s until they are long gone to the boneyard and scrapped to be replaced by the Next Generation Airbus A321XLR and Boeing 737 MAX Family. which will take away the iconic roar noise from the 757. Hope everything is going well.

Since I was a child, my parents worked for a airline, so I get used to travel a lot, that's why Im a avgeek.
I remember the first time flying on Business class, and got the oportunity to listen the engine roar, was a A319 of TACA with IAE engines. From that day, I missed even more flying, so I found your channel. You inspired me to open my youtube channel, and capture that gorgeous sound. You showed me that there was more aircraft types and different sounds (my favorite RB211) Finally I did it, flew on a United one, and later in a Delta one. RB211 totaly rules! Love your channel, exellent video. Definitely we're going to miss this bird in US.
