Glad he upgraded to the 285s with that lift.
Definitely filled the wheel well better
That's really kind of you, Anthony! That's a great setup. If the tires start rubbing against the UCA, you might consider lowering the lift 1/4" to 1/2" as raising the vehicle 3" or more tends to pull the wheels in too close, especially if you increase negative offset. Tinkerer's Adventure is where I discovered that. I hope he realizes that he now NEEDS a new front bumper and winch. :))
Yes (sir)! 😁 He hasn't had an issue with uca rub but he still is going to trim a little on the inner wheel well. And yeah, he knows he "needs" those upgrades also. Right Evan?
I want it all!!
I have no rubbing on the UCAs so far. Had to trim a little on the front fender and push the fender linear back a little, but that was it.
I will probably do UCAs along with new wheels (depending on their offset), in the near future.
@@NerdPerson23 Congratulations!!!
And people say Jeeps are expensive! :))
Well done!!
Thanks!
Looks good! Ask him if he needs the Belgian Malinois hair mod. I can help with that!
He has a Belgian Malinois also
Yes I need it!
Looks awesome!
I agree. Thanks for watching!
Super cool man.
Thanks for watching 🙏
Very kind of you to help a subscriber out! What kind of wizardry is going on with that roller chair you're sitting on? In your 5160 install video I thought it was a nice looking chair that allowed you to sit low to the ground and also had a backrest. It appears you can re-orient it to have a taller seating position?!
Lol, yes sir, exactly. If you watch my latest video where I install the skid plates, you can see why I need it. It is perfect for working under the 4Runner when on my lift. I put a link to that chair in the description of that video if you want to get a better look at it.
Not cheap, but was exactly what I needed
@@AZOverland2017 Thanks. I'll go check out that video. Also, I just sent a note to Underdog via their web page to ask about purchasing the Bilstein kit. Told them that you referred me for good measure.
Dang I didn’t even realize you were in AZ lol I just got a 5th gen recently and been watching your videos on upgrades on these Rigs if you ever open up to doing more installs I’d hop on the waitlist!
Where are you located and what are you wanting to do? You can email me at

@@AZOverland2017I never saw this boss I’m in AZ if you’d ever be interested in doing a video on a 1’ body lift
Great video. I also watched your lift the other day. Thanks! You are able to use the stock upper control arm?
Thank you. Yes, oem upper. It was able to be aligned correctly but when you get this high it's definitely something to take a closer look at, especially if using aftermarket wheels. You really have to take the wheel offset into consideration
How many 4 Runners can you get in 1 driveway 😅
Apparently, at least 3. More coming?

Wow! Very nice. How long is the wait for an install for a 2019 Toyota 4runner TRD Off Road with KDSS? Just joking! Thanks for sharing! 😁👍
LOL, Thanks! Not sure I want to get back into auto work full time again, but wiling to help here and there.
@@AZOverland2017 In the video it looked like you did a lot more than lend a hand. It looked like your garage, tools, both hands and all of the work. Very nice of you to do that. Sincerely!
I sent some photos to your email of my 4runner rear seat delete and cargo bed platform. Let me know what you think.
@@danielstover3029 Ok, I'll take a look
@@danielstover3029 Yes, it was a deeply discounted paid job. He did want to be there and help/learn as well, which he definitely did!
Are you doing installs now?
Hmm...not sure how to answer that yet.
What clips location are those for a 3” lift
I believe the driver's side is in the highest setting and the passenger side is either 2 or 3 lower. These were present by Underdog Motorsports to where he wanted them. There is also a chart included with the shocks that tell you exactly where to place the clips for the desired lift taking into account driver side lean
How long do you think it took you?? What about alignment and UCA’s??
About 4 hours. You definitely need a good alignment after, which Evan had scheduled the next day. UCAs if you are going with a different wheel/offset. You can get away without if the alignment shop knows what they are doing. However, when going with a 285 tire or bigger, I would start looking into a well built uca.
I think with 2” up from the UCA is ok if alignment specs work out. Curious if you have any needle bearing noise on drivers side. Thx
@@tkm3207 My 4Runner is just over 2" in the front. It's only been a few months but no noise
@@tkm3207 everything has been fine so far. Alignment went well and it only rubbed on the front fender. I have stock trd wheels so they don’t stick out to much
Hi from CA - did you do a diff drop for this lift height?
@@Kelly.marietta Greetings. No, it's not really necessary for this particular lift. If you go higher, you may be looking at doing a diff drop
