      Thanks Andrew, you're right, SIM is a great looking driver.

    It is amazing how the M2 holds up for distance. Would like to see your dispersion charts for each. If you go by shear distance and spin, the M2 would be the winner. But that would change if it had more dispersion. Can you show dispersion as well?

      This was just an initial test using the stock shafts Bradford. We're currently conducting extra testing before coming up with more detailed results...stay tuned.

    That is a very fair review, but please note that the shafts that TM are using in their new drivers are NOT the full spec After Market shafts they are an OEM version which does not contain the same amount of high-grade materials.

      @todaysgolfer  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for the comment Bandit. Probably worth just pointing out we didn't say the Ventus is the after-market version.
      We are actually seeing better results switching Neil into the HZRDUS Smoke Green, than we saw with the Ventus. Something we'll discuss in a subsequent video.

      @@todaysgolfer Hi Guys, yes that is correct. But I made my comment mainly to advise other viewers to be aware that TM (and most other manufacturers) fit (designed for) OEM versions of shafts and they aren't the same as the fully-speced After Market shafts. It would be great if responsible reviewers such as yourselves could highlight this in your reviews. Just because it says Ventus or Hazardous Smoke on the shaft doesn't mean that it is the fully specified shaft that they are getting in their brand new drivers.

      @todaysgolfer  4 года назад +2

      @@banditbaker1675 Completely agree, there's more and more people aware who are aware if you buy a £400 driver it's highly unlikely you'll get a £400 after-market shaft as standard. The issue now though is shafts are no longer labelled as "Exclusive for..." or "Designed for..." which makes it difficult to identify different models.
      Checking specs between a head brands website to a shaft brands website often reveals a lot.

      @@todaysgolfer 👍 As a fully paid up shaft geek I must admit that I spend a lot of time trawling through MGS & WRX getting background info. On a serious note, I am surprised that Trading standards don't get involved with this "shaft" issue, basically, the club manufacturers are guilty of "Passing Off" which is a Criminal offence under Consumer Rights legislation.

    Great review gents. I would of like to see the M2 2016 also since most of my friends still game it and still swear by it or have it as their back up.

      Thanks for the feedback Robert. 2016 M2 would have been our choice too, we just didn't have a sample to include.

    The m2 rules,,, I'm keeping mine for that reason,,,,,no matter what I try the wishon 919,taylormade m2 go as far as anything out there, I can't part with either of them and I have the 410 plus I'm playing now it just depends on my mood of which one I want to play..your videos are the best ,,,,thank you

      Thanks for the feedback Jeff, very much appreciated.
      Since we shot this video we've been doing a lot more testing with the SIM and we're seeing better results with the HZRDUS Smoke Green (from the SIM - not SIM Max) shaft.
      There will be a best 2020 driver video at some point soon.

    Ive had the M1, M4, M6 and SIM max. I think SIM and M6 both look great. I didnt like the thick white and silver on the other 2. TM drivers have long shafts so I always trim 3/4" off and fit a midsize grip. M4 was my least favourite, seemed a bit cheap compared to the M1 and current models, including headcover..

    I was previously using the Taylormade m5 driver but had to send it back because of a manufacturer defect. They are sending me a new SIM driver and I wanted to know how would you compare the two drivers

    While you start with Dustin Johnson and evening the pro what does this really mean for the 10-15 handicapper or senior golfer who perhaps only gets 200-220 yards on the drive and does not have the flu head or ball speed to optimize the technology. Equally what does it mean for dispersion especially left to right as mavrik (callaway) suggests that they have improved the accuracy of their new driver.

    Same #s as M2, seems Sim is Bubble Shaft 8.0. As a weekend player I am only willing to spend $500 for straighter and at least 10 yards longer, per these #s, that didnt happen, just my 2 cents. PS, would LOVE to see an average swing speed player do the same tests, like 145? We can relate more to that then the pros plus slower swing speeds could have different results? Love your smart boards!

      Thanks for the feedback Dave, very much appreciated. As we said in the video this was literally the first session we had with SIM.
      Since then we've done a lot more testing and produced our Best of 2020 driver video below. By switching shafts we were able to add 5 yards to the SIM Max.
