The good news? Price drop on M5/M6 drivers for TaylorMade fans. Cobra’s F9/SZ design beat them to it, already. It’d be good to see back-to-back tests on them with the SIM.

Whats the differences between trackman and gc quad? I hit on a trackman for my first time ever last week using any launch monitor. I was getting crazy spin variations. Had an 8 iron spinning over 14,000 rpm sometimes. Then I’d have a 5 iron spinning 2,000. After some research I learned you need to use metallic dots on the ball with trackman indoors, the facility didn’t have any and had no idea you needed them. Is trackman better outdoors than gc quad? Would be interesting to see a short video on the pros and cons between the two which would help us better understand how to interpret the data when we go for fittings.

@@jonpink4239 Which I am sure will be coming shortly.
But I am struggling with the choice of words that you are using, "not the environment for a full honest unbiased review" to me implies that you think that their review was in some way "dishonest". I suspect that that can be applied to a number of channels and their reviews, but certainly could not be applicable to TXG.
But I do agree with you that the days of major distance gains is clearly a thing of the past (unless the USGA and R&A relax their performance limits), but I strongly suspect that the theme for drivers this year will be improved forgiveness and playability (which is far more beneficial to golfers of all abilities).

Amongst all this marketing bullshit and the ridiculous hyped up prices it all boils down to getting a proper fitting to optimise your swing to fit a club. So many people stay loyal to a brand even though they would get better numbers from playing another brand.

Oh, so taylormade is selling last years cobra speedback!

Taylormade literally just copied everything cobra did last year with the speedback including the marketing words. Only thing they didn't steal was the color scheme 😂

Paul Hynes the M6 has the inertia generator.... and both the M6 and F9 came out at the same time last year... they didn’t copy Cobra.

Sim?! Wtf.... ya I hit the sim driver... that sounds dumb. All I use is TaylorMade so I’m very loyal to the brand. Driver looks beautiful but why such a dumb name. Why not just M7 and M8?

Unless your driver is 5 years old or you just have to have the latest, you’re wasting your money.

This channel has couple things that are weird: Lefthander golfer(tester) and a guy who is difficult to understand with his accent.

Ok Don, if swinging left handed and being Scottish are too weird for you then maybe this channel isn’t for you. 🤦‍♂️

Ian, I like you... but SIM is not a great name (nor is “SpeedZone”. And “Maverick” is questionable)
With drivers obviously hitting limits across the board, do you think it’s actually more beneficial for brands to have a 2 year cycle like Ping and Titliest? Rather than repainting an M6 crossed with SLDR, perhaps waiting and extra year and really developing a (potentially) bigger change from the previous model will create more trust in the evolution of these brands..?

these are a very big improvement over last year's drivers, we have comparison videos with M5 and M6 coming later this week
