As a former “gifted” kid- I hope desperately he is learning to base his value on his own accomplishments rather than the praise of others. Right now everything he does is incredible because people see him as a child. When he becomes an adult, those same things become “expected.” They’ll stop praising him for doing what they perceive is the bare minimum… but it’s still incredible. I hope he keeps his passion for himself and lets others witness it- not make his passion dependent on others.

He's sticking to a basic recipe, uses proper tools and technique and he doesn't try to impress his audience with 40 year dry aged 5 billion dollar kaviar fed wagyu from the moon, that and a good camera are pretty much all it takes. That obviously doesn't mean he's bad, he's better with a knife than me.
Maybe it’s because I’m half Asian, but I don’t find making fried rice difficult lol hell when I first started making it, I just winged it and my mom (the one that’s Asian) said I make it better than her and always grabs a plate when I make it 😂
