Drive the Maroochy Part 1

Rose and Col, @explornations , take you on a journey of the Maroochy River on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia. We start at the source high in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and drive as much along its path as we can making stops at some of the incredible hidden gems that visitors to the Sunshine Coast rarely get to see.
In Episode 1 we start at Point Glorious, a beautiful lookout accessed from Buckby Road in behind the little village of Yandina. The view from here looks towards across Mt Eewah to Eumundi, Noosa and Coolum. We stop in at both the Cooloolabin Dam and Wappa Dam then downstream to the Kiamba rock pools and the Wappa falls, but the recent rains shows the swimming holes in a whole new light as water rushes down towards Yandina and beyond.
Join us on this Journey and we look forward to continuing the drive to show you some of the history and even more features of this iconic river that flows through picturesque farmlands, distinctive mountains and places of interest and out to the sea at Maroochydore.
