I was born here .. and still see new places .. after 68 years
We completely understand that - we don’t feel like we’ve even scratched the surface ❤️
Hey guys, I finally made it into Oz! We landed in Sydney on the 26th, currently staying in Narrabeen & heading further up the coast tomorrow. Should be in Queensland in the next 7 days. Loving every minute of our Aussie adventure so far but looking forward to some warmer weather as we head your way, the last few days have been wet & windy here 🌧🌧🌧
That’s wonderful, so glad you’re enjoying the adventure. Hopefully we’ve got some great weather waiting here for you ❤️❤️
Welcome to Australia, we need more of you.
@@JohnWilliams-iw6oq I only wish I could stay here. Unfortunately I have to go back to the UK in 2 weeks 😞
Becky, i suggest you drop in to the capital of Aust on your time up norf. Newcastle. The best lookin, friendliest and smartest people in the Fair Land. I met a bloke there once who even said a kind word about a Pomm.
@@wallywombat164 funnily enough, Newcastle is on my list of stopovers, well Stockton Beach to be precise but its close enough 👌 we've met some lovely friendly Aussie's on our travels so far. Maybe one or 2 that aren't quite as friendly but then you get that everywhere. In the UK there are many grumpy people believe me lol
Great work guys. Love Bens facial expressions. Were moving to QLD next year...leaving behind sunny Mallorca in Spain. :)
How true, not just QLD, in the early 70's my family and I used to live in Townsville 4814, and my younger sister was born in Townsville. Another reason I should move to QLD, my mum and my younger sister live in S.E. QLD!😀
You both look healthier and younger the longer your here, that’s what Queensland does to you.
Say no more.
Aw thank you 🥰🥰
Yes i agree. Ben certainly looks a tad slimmer these days.
I can understand why people love talking to you Maz and Ben.You really are a very nice couple. So great to have you here.🏴🇦🇺
My parents had my brother's in-laws, who live in Carins, visit them in Perth for three weeks at Easter.
The father in-law remarked that he had been in Perth almost a week and had not seen a cloud. Perth has more cloudless days than Brisbane.
I was in Brisbane in April 1996 for a weekend and the weather was identical to Perth for that time of the year.
No matter what your climate preference is, there is a place that will suit your needs.
I’m also quite introverted Ben! I live in NSW and my favourite place is the Blue Mountains. It’s actually been snowing up in the Mountains and I so wish I was there. I’d prefer to live in the middle of nowhere, where I wouldn’t be able to hear a thing except the birds, the wind and the creeks.
Oh how lovely, we haven’t seen snow for years now - we were speaking to our little ones about it recently, as they don’t remember seeing snow.
We’re also quite fond of living out of the way now, but we still have plenty of friends over, so it’s never really quiet 😁❤️
Katoomba is a wierd place, while Ashfield 2131 has winter, and Katoomba feels like summer July-August, then in November while Sydney is moving into summer, bam! Katoomba snows, didn't andyone tell Katoomba snow in winter, not spring?
I always look forward to your vlogs, a wonderful family 🥰
Thank you so much for joining us 🥰🥰
The weather in Brisbane this year has been colder - and for longer - than I can remember. Normally EKKA week is when the weather shifts and we get some heat but this year nothing like that happened. You two should do a video in Toowoomba as the Carnival of Flowers has just started.
Oh wowza, we’d not heard of that, will take a look 🌺🌺
@@TheBAMFamalam There are events on during the whole of September, so just pick a weekend. On the way there you should stop at Spring Bluff Railway Station which is just covered in flowers. Probably the best floral display after Canberra's Floriade.
We are moving to NSW but once we are settled and hopefully given PR I think we will move to Queensland, it looks perfect for families and lots of things to do 💖
That’s exciting, when are you hoping to move? ❤️
@@TheBAMFamalam We are hoping for September 2023
Agree 100%, I love Queensland and visiting there! Do they still run the Citycats on the Brisbane River? The citycats were another fun experience!
Yes, they do, but currently some of the docks are still out of commission due to the flood damage. And they sold off eight of the old model ferries, so don't know how long since you were here, they could look different.
I live in Newcastle NSW and here are our annual hours of sunshine....Around 3220.24 hours of sunshine are counted in Newcastle throughout the year. On average there are 105.88 hours of sunshine per month. Having lived in Qld for 16 years I well remember the wonderful winters and the hot, humid and often cloudy summers...(due to the high humidity)...sunshine is pretty much an Australian benefit not just confined to the lovely north...
It’s a 95 minute flight between Sydney and Brisbane.
Best value for tourists in Brisbane? The 2 hour Citycat ferry round trip between Northshore Hamilton and the QLD University. How much? About $5. Break your trip for lunch at The Regatta, or the City or Southbank, and two trips will cost under $10. Departures every 15 minutes.
Hello! Loving your videos! We are looking to move to Queensland from the UK! I'd love a recommendation on an area to look into to raise our family please? It's so hard to know where to start!! Thank you so much for all of the info!
Hopefully this oldie but goodie will give you some pointers 👉🏼 ruclips.net/video/lHFIu_-P6Ik/видео.html
Thanks for your videos. Very educational while at the same time giving us a glimpse of what life looks like in your new country.
I met someone from Brisbane who was very nice and friendly and invited me to move there.
Good news, I've been offered a job in Australia. Although I will not be moving to Brisbane, your videos have provided invaluable information about Australia. Keep up the great work.
Congratulations on your job offer, and we are so glad to be a part of your adventure xx
Lived here for 30 years, coldest winter I've ever experienced here and the last couple years of weather has just been woeful, always cloudy, windy or raining now. Bring on the drought I say.
Great chan and attitude, love you guys
Thank you xx
I strongly urge you to take the girls to do the Dinosaur Trail...check out Winton, Muttaburra, Richmond...Outback Queensland is living history...and I recommend that you take a trip to Birdsville, either for the The Big Red Bash(Jul) or the Races in September... don't go in the summer, for obvious reasons. All the best. Keep up the great work.
Awesome, thank you so much for the suggestions ❤️❤️
Hi guys hope all ok with you haven't seen a post for a couple of weeks love to all xx
We are back this evening with an explanation, hope to see you there xx
Bam Bam it’s the Famalam!
Nice video guys 😎😎
Thank you 🥰🥰
Love Qld… been many time for work and holidays. Each region in Aus has its pros and cons. I’m from Melbourne, born and raised. Love living here… close to the beach and not far from mountains, and all the culture and diversity in Melbourne CBD. Our weather is not as good, I could easily live in Brisbane, but my friends and family keeps me here.
Melbourne is lovely too, we don’t blame you for not moving 🥰
Awesome place 🏖🏖
I went to school in Mackay. I've been back twice. Now working on my VISA. A very good mate has bought me my ticket back 🇦🇺💙😎 see you soon ✌️
You need to goto Longreach etc. It is very welcoming out that water. My daughter enjoyed Charleville.
Lookds like Aust is good for you two and fam. you look sssso healthy. (Thank God),,, been freezing down here north of antarctica (Melb town) God bless
Oh Ben compadre! You're just like me, an extrovert trapped in an introverts body.
By the look of it you've already escaped and living life.😀
He’s getting there - he’s never been so extroverted before 😁
I am hoping to visit Brisbane in a few years
Qld waaay too hot and humid for me, but i know many people enjoy that kind of weather. Cyclones can be a problem though..
I have experience as a cook and chef and was thinking of moving to QLD later this year. Where would you recommend?
It seems tourism QLD may need to have a chat to you guys.
Winter with temperature in 20s? That's summer in Canada haha
Need to book flights for next year going to visit before we make the big move! What location would you suggest to book hotels? X
Book wherever you’re thinking of moving to so that you don’t have to keep travelling to look around, and you can really get a feel for the suburb xx
Honestly, most of Australia has a pretty nice climate. I prefer NSW, QLD is a bit too humid for me. Nice to visit but.....
I'm in Brisbane 4 weeks and don't like it too much, accommodation is ridiculous hard to secure and things are pricy, finding it difficult to settle in. You need a good wedge / deposit for easy living in brissy.
Were comeing for 3 weeks in 2024 but my dream is to move there but not sure if possible I can dream
Yes please! Had enough of Sydney! #trainstrikes #rain
The further north you go the friendlier the people get but there's no doubt about it you live in one of the best spots in Australia.
It sure is pretty lovely 🥰
Sorry guys Perth gets 2920 hrs of sunshine per year......BEAT YER!!!!!!!!
How are the re-strictions in Queensland?
I’m not sure there are any at the moment - maybe just wearing masks in the drs/hospitals if anything ❤️
@@TheBAMFamalam keep those filthy things off your smiling faces 😎
Nope - chose Tasmania
More sunshine hours in summer than the rest of Australia
More affordable
Better natural attractions
Better lifestyle
NO MAGPIE ATTACKS
But then again, I am totally biased
If you had swum & interacted with wild dolphins 4 times in the last 4 years - you might be totally biased too...
My Auntie used to tell me wonderful stories about Tassie, she lived in Hobart and loved it, we are due a trip down there soon I reckon 😁❤️
Don't you mean daylight hours?
yeh yeh - More sunshine hours in summer but thats because of daylight saving which we don't have in the west because it causes the curtains to fade and upsets the milking cows apparently
@@jimlofts5433 Your ignorance is showing Jim. Tasmania does have longer daylight hours, but daylight stupidity has nothing to do with it.
Because Tasmania is further south than Perth its has longer summer daylight hours. Annually, most places on earth has the same amount of daylight hours
Hello brother🥰🥰🥰
G’day 😁
nah South Australia is fine
We actually really want to visit SA - I think we need to book a holiday 😁
Cairns North Queensland’s people are friendly didn’t find Perth western so friendly
We didn’t get to go out much in Perth, so didn’t notice, but can defo vouch that QLDers are 😁❤️
@@TheBAMFamalam I live in Perth but when I moved to Cairns North Queensland’s i had people saying welcome to North Queensland’s I can’t remember people saying welcome to Perth Western Australia
Where have you gone ?
We’re back today with an explanation, see you at the usual time of 5.45 xx
Righto, it’s been three weeks, where are you?
?
We are back this evening with an explanation, hope to see you there xx
We are back this evening with an explanation, hope to see you there xx
@@TheBAMFamalam looking forward to seeing you lot again, love your work.
17000 beaches in Australia and we still make fake ones 😃🇦🇺
Haha yes that’s so true 🤣
No 1 reason to move to WA - no drop bears
Ben? an introvert nah I don't believe that. not the song and dance man no way. I reckon you banana benders are pulling my leg hahaha
We kid you not, he is incredibly shy… just not on camera anymore apparently 😆
Also, you know how when you spend a lot of time with someone you end up with similar traits… he’s been hanging out with me for a long time now 🤣
Are you happy you moved to Australia? Why don't you make a video or two to explain why people would be happy to move to Australia.
They are happy with the move to Australia. Check out their previous videos.
We may have made that video topic once or twice 😁 We do love being here - it’s funny that we’ve done quite a bit in the last 6 years, but we still feel like we’ve only just started 😁
@@TheBAMFamalam Only just started? Struth.
@@Aussie-kim1631 Ok Kim. Thanks mate. I'll search far and wide. I might stumble across one if i'm clever and lucky enough.
You people need to stop doing this, we already have too many people here. If people on RUclips, keep encouraging more people to come to my country, we'll end up just like the rest of the world, overcrowded. Please, for the sake of the place you love now, don't encourage more people to come here and over populate it. Best wishes...
Hahaha , Clive, your out of touch my friend 😊🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Move to another country then if you don’t want people to come to AU
To your country? Oh someone needs to study some history.
If you don't like it, you can always move.
@@michaelscofieldonline What, you'd be happy to see me displaced from my own country. Now that sounds like a typically superior attitude...
Hi, guys not being rude or anything I loved your videos when they first came out, but now they seem to quite be repetitive..
I loved when you use to go out for dinner and review the food and the markets, they were great knowledgeable videos, I think you could steer your videos in that direction more and you may get a lot more views, instead of telling people why maybe you should show them why, so they have more of an idea... anyway that's my opinion, you may take it with a grain of rice, but I think it may help.
Cheers, regards, declan.
We have a new episode out this evening and a brand new series coming out next Sunday with new content, which we hope you’ll enjoy xx
you 2 are great”, I am moving over to Wacol, QLD in around 3 months time on a 482 visa and can’t wait”.🌞🌏🧰
