    all of this is correct .but one thing at 336 .if you put both sides to one amp it will be a mixed signal.you put one jack to each amp you will separate left and right or front in back.the way you show to hook it up you wont have separation of sides or channels .

    • @gavinmcclure8047

      So you should split them like normal. Say like stacking the amps so you can put one left and one right from each into one of the amps correct?

    Didn't think about the posability of the Amps splitting the RCA voltage. Glad this vid popped up as I'm getting my daily stuff done. Was contemplating weather to daisy chain picking up another Orion XTR 750.4 as the one I have is running my components but with the other running to subs it would be either daisy chaining or getting a Taramps 1200.1/or 1800.1 as I would use that to run to my two Torpo 10in subs from CT Sounds. Still trying to decide as my oscillator and 1st of the two subs is gonna be ordered soon. Still have plan to order a different deck like the double Din xspeeding rods to replace my temporary single din which had 2 volt outputs for channels 1+2 and 2 volt out for 3+4. If I get the deck before I make this decision then it wouldn't be much of a concern. 🤔 -Thanks...

    Wouldn't it be better to take the L signal RCA from HU and split that into 2 L's, one for each amp, verses what you did here: turn the L into L & R for one amp and the R into L & R for the 2nd amp?

      They're mono amps from a single sub out channel. There is no left and right. If you need a left amp and a right amp you would split accordingly if your output from the head unit can control it.

    • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  2 года назад +2

      @Thirteen Thirteen No, each RCA has a positive and a negative. Switching RCAs around doesn't change polarity... You're confusing left and right with +/-

    My question is...when splitting the signal, does it really matter how you plug the RCAs into the amp? Example: left side of RCA coming from head unit going to left sides of both amps and doing the same respectively for the right side? Compared to how he used one side from head unit rca per amp individually.... hope i made sense trying to describe my question/scenario 🤦🏾‍♂️

    • @MrCbell57
      @MrCbell57 2 года назад

      If you chain two amps you would use the in jacks from radio and also in jacks for other amp. It’s the signal from radio you are amplifying. It’s not amplifying an amplifier voltage. I’d use it for a subwoofer and a main amp. Adding radio signal to both amps allows you to get amplified main speakers as well as a sub speaker. At least that’s what I’m understanding. Ive also read where you never want to do an amp output to a second amp input. You don’t want to use an already amplified signal to stick into a second amplifier. You are not doubling amplification but just running two amps in parallel for 4 speakers and a sub.

  • @ALEX-xd7ko
    @ALEX-xd7ko 2 года назад +2

    Old video but you dont really dive into line voltage and how important it is . Splitting does work but that amp would be seeing 1v of line voltage not .5v . You gain match with a scope . You can always turn the gain down if you have to much line voltage , but you cant always gain up when you have to little. Testing the theory is easy unplug an rca on a mono block .

    hey so i need a little guidance. out my head unit which is one that has a small external amp on the back. now for the rca's i put a splitter on the front output from the headunit to run an amp for some tweeters, and i put a splitter on the back for a future amp. although i noticed that since i had the tweeter amp splitted into the rear output from the headunit i noticed one of my back door speakers wasnt really playing much at all. so i unplugged the Rca's from the tweeter amp and it played clearly as the other one. Im not sure if it was signal loss or what was going on i flipped the black and red around a few times to make sure i didnt have anything backwards but that wasnt it. Any ideas? how could i add an amp for mid bass and for another amp for marine speakers?
    and should i run the midd bass somehow split from the bass output or what would you do?

    • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  Год назад

      If you're just going to run 1 amp, I'd just run front and rear RCAs from head unit. Then run front to fronts, and combine rear and rear deck speakers on the same channel. If each channel is 2ohm stable you can run two 4 ohm speakers in parallel and run 2 speakers at 2 ohms on each rear channel.
