I remember a guy arguing with me on youtube in like 2007 - 2008, and he called me an idiot because I didn’t “bridge” my “monoblock” amp correctly in a testing video I had up (only had speaker wire connected to one set of terminals for my testing). I couldn’t help but laugh, as I repaired amplifiers and knew exactly what I was doing. I tried to explain that it was a single channel mono amp and the terminals were wired parallel internally for convenience, and it didn’t matter which set I used, and it was not a 2 channel so you can't bridge it, but I don’t think he could comprehend it was not 2 channels, and in his mind I was the idiot for not bridging it right; some people swear they know everything and you simply can’t educate them. I think I got this a few times over the years.

So since the amp is wired parallel internally. You could connect your dvc 2ohm subwoofer voice coils in series inside the boxes ( 2 voice coils on 1 sub tied to gather in series) run the + and - to the boxes terminal cups and take each speaker box cup and wire it to the 2 separate terminals on the amp that are hooked up in parallel internally. Makes a 2 ohm load correct? 2 ohm dvc subs VC hooked in series on each sub and then tied then hooked to the amplifier in separate connectors where they then are parallel??? Using both terminals on the amp but pulling just 2 ohms 🤷🏻‍♂️. In all the diagrams the hook on speaker to another and then pull from one terminal on the amp. But should be same to hook each sub to the amp by itself since the terminals are hooked in parallel inside the amp 🤷🏻‍♂️.

I was curious on the specific terms and purpose of my bass knob for my smb. I have always been able to adjust the “boost” max to whatever I set my amp to or lower the gain.i would max it when I set my gain never to go over and clip. With my sundown knobs it seems to have a 2/3 no effect. Then instantly will seem like it just kicked on and will have a response. But when I turn back down it hits that mark and it just basically sounds like it cut off the gain. Could you help me with what I’m tuning or wiring wrong to not get a response signal to adjust my bass knob when j need to usually just need to slightly reduce the bass but it just drops off on me. Thanks i appreciate it, and sorry if it’s a stupid question.

So a monoblock amplifier actually isn't meant to play a single speaker because you'll be playing below the rated arms so you've got to go do some funky wiring shit to get a single speaker to play on a monoblock amp which is what it sounds like it's intended for which is why this is a bunch of bull because it's like gatekeepers trying to keep people from figuring this shit out and doing it themselves. Y'all either give overly complicated and drawn out lectures on this or y'all give the most basic beginner answers like make sure all of your wires are connected

I do not have a SIA amp to where I can compare or see if the plugs are in any way different, or to check and see if either remote has a different amount of wires. Because yeah ohm's law and calculating all that stuff with one voice call or two voice calls or is it rated for 4 ohms or two ohms or are you using an equalizer or a crossover or this or that like there's a million factors to every factor and from what I've learned so far trying to figure this out The main messages go spend more money You need to buy more stuff You don't have good enough equipment You have to go get more shit. Like dude I'm just trying to hook up 112 to my Ford fusion and I can't put an aftermarket radio in there because it's all tied into all the crap and I'm not trying to ruin my car so I use the line out converter which I know works and now I got to go take my car back apart to pull all this shit back out of it and waste more time right this is just a big money pit

What do you mean it's unbelievable how many people don't understand this this shit's super deep and complicated and irritating I just wanted some bass in my vehicle and now I've spent a bunch of money and wasted a bunch of time and I know my stuff works cuz I tested it in my shed but it turns on but plays no sound in my vehicle and I don't have time to go take a freaking class and sound engineering and go buy a bunch of electronic diagnostic tools just to set up a sound system man like there's so many different theories and laws you have to learn just to set up a basic system this is some freaking bullshit man like so if you're not already an expert at it don't even bother trying is pretty much what you're saying
