Well I absolutely did make this recipe and it is right and exact! I even sang the mixie mix song to make sure they came out just right. I split the baking in half because I know my oven can be a little wonky. Testing out the temp 450 was just a little too high for my oven, first batch came out delicious, just a little darker on the bottom. The second batch came out exactly like yours. Thank you so much 🫶🏾 Also, do have some hush puppies from a reputable establishment at your earliest convenience. I can’t make any recommendations in Canada ( sorry I have to visit and do some eating there). But if you like cornbread, you will love hush puppies. Have them with Creole red beans and rice for an absolutely sublime experience. Cheers!
