Unboxing the Mastercraft Digital Multimeter (model 052-0055-6) and installing the battery.
I bought this multimeter to test the battery on a Yamaha VStar 250 motorcycle that would not start.

Your absolutely right. No instruction as to where the battery installs. Thank you for your video.
Yes…not exactly intuitive. Glad it helped!
Guess I'm not the only one who couldn't figure out how to install the battery! Thanks
It was definitely not intuitive was it?!
You're doing the Lord's work with this video. I cannot believe they did not include battery installation instructions in the manual!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know about you but generally when I look at the included instructions I cringe a bit LOL. Thanks for letting me know it was a help!
Thank you
Thanks. I was ready to take the bloody thing back. When they mention take the holster off, they should mention see page 6 Item 12. Saved me a lot of time
Glad it helped! I scoured the instructions and didn’t find a thing that explained it! 😎
Thank you very much for bothering to make this video!!! It saved me me from excessive drinking!
@@BMProvenzano Glad to help…although I would not be opposed to one beer 🍺 😎
Thank you for saving me from a return trip back to the store and losing my mind!
Happy to help!
Thank you very much for your assistance. Much appreciated.
Glad it helped.
You saved the day. We were going crazy. Thanks for taking the time to do the video nit was perfect!
Glad to help. Thanks for the note.
Thank you very much! I had no idea how to access the battery compartment, but I was sure that someone clever and kind had posted a video to RUclips.
Thanks for the kind words!
Same here. I tought, there must be something on youtube for that battery location !😂
Thank you so much. You are not silly, Mastercraft is for not putting the directions for where to place the battery in the manual. 🙏🏻
It truly amazes me how many have watched this video as it was my very first one. Glad it helped!
Haha thought I was losing my mind trying to figure out how to put install the battery🤪🤪🤪🤪 thank you for this video my friend🙂
Glad it helped out. Definitely threw me for a loop initially as well! 😎
We're not losing out minds. Thanks for the video. You saved me from the frustration you must have felt figuring this out. Although I love watching lots of RUclips videos on guitar, physics, and planes, this was the most useful video I've seen all year. Sometimes it is the little things that make me happy. I mean it. I'm not being sarcastic.
Thanks again
Thanks for the kind words Walter. This was my first video and definitely lacks polish but I am glad it was helpful!
Me too. I don't know if I ever would have found that!
Thank you so much!!! I was about to pry the blue stand up to see if there was opening for battery haha. Had no idea the blue cover could come off.
Glad it helped! Thanks for the comment.
YES THANK YOU VERY MUCH , you did save me alot of pain and feeling stupid , why would they do that ? Great video thanks. Dane
Absolutely. Glad it saved you some headache! Had me feeling stupid for a while as well.
I can assure you that your video is still worth it and usefull! Thank you very much!!
Thank you so much. I was about to destroy my new multimeter thinking the battery compartment was behind the fold-out stand on the back.
Hi and thank you! I stared at this thing for20 minutes wondering how the heck to put the battery in! Then I thought maybe someone on RUclips can tell me. And there you were. No thanks to Mastercraft for putting it in the instructions! Thank you.
Glad it helped. Thanks for checking in.
Haha, I had just taken mine out of the package, struggled to find the screw, and thought there must be a video about this. Thanks so much
@@rodgermcmillen8662 Glad to have had the privilege to help! Thanks for checking in.
Thank you! I was just about to throw it out the window along with my university degree.
I get it…I feel that way most days about some of the instructions included with most products! 😎
Appreciate the feedback!
Thank you. Great video. cheers.
Glad to help.
Thank you!!! Would’ve never thought to pull the blue thing off!
Glad it helped. Thanks for the note
Bless your heart. Typical CdnTire Manual. Tell you the minimum without the important bits. You saved me from tossing this.
Glad it helped. Thanks for checking out the channel.
Thanks a lot. It worked out. Great to see this video as first suggestion once you have felt stupid for a while.
Cheers

Thanks for showing me how to open the meter.
Glad to help
Thank you, it had me puzzled for a while, and you're right, nothing in the instructions lol
Glad to help. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks , this was useful
Glad to help! Thanks for the note.
Thanks a lot
Happy to help.
Thx had the same problem 😂
You're not alone; I felt like an idiot too; hence why I'm watching your video. Thanks.
Glad it helped. Thanks for the note.
Remember one thing.... not all heroes wear capes. Thank you, I guess I'm next in line for feeling stupid lol.
Thanks for the kind words…I am always prepared to feel stupid when following manufacturers’ directions! 😆
@@CaledoniaKeys lately for me, it's not necessarily the instructions that are the issue. It seems to be the horrible diagrams that don't really show how to install said item. They don't tend to show enough of the image to know if you're installing it right. I've had to backtrack a few times lately 😕 lol
Thanks, I almost forced the wrong spot on the cover before watching the video
Glad it helped. Thanks for commenting!
Thanks for this short but very useful video. By the way, the serial number (at least that's what I think it is) of your Multimeter is 202010, mine is 202009. Funny.
I can’t say for sure what that number represents but great powers of observation! Thanks for the note. Glad it helped.
Thank you, I thought I was going crazy...theres nothing in the manual about putting the battery in.
It’s a bit of a surprising oversight isn’t it! 😎
Thank you! Why would we need to know where the battery goes right??
Thanks for stopping in and checking out the channel
SAME - Cannot find where the darn battery goes and manual is silent on it.
Thanks for checking in.
Thank you. Thank you. How can you have an instruction manual that doesn't show you how to put the battery in especially when they hide the cover??? This just about took out my last nerve.
I definitely hear you on that one! Thanks for commenting.
I just had to change the battery and had forgotten how to do it. Remembered your tutorial. Thanks again :)
Thanks bud ... I too was scratching my head. You saved the day. LOL
If you think its hard looking fumbly on camera, try doing it in front of your wife's father ... the little things matter. LOL (to me anyways ... maybe I'm just projecting ... LOL)
I can totally relate…you would think it should be simple…and when it’s not easy to figure out an audience doesn’t help! Thanks for commenting.
Thanks. The directions in the manual are vague at best.
Thanks for checking out the channel.
Thanks Buds! Really appreciate it! "Mastercraft" Canadian for " Piece of shit"! LOL
Definitely room for improvement in the instructions! LOL
who would have guessed? in my opinion people who thought this up should be sought out and flogged! ..
It was definitely a puzzler.
The manual is not well written!
Worst instructions ever!! Thank you!
Glad it helped! Thanks for checking out the channel.
Saved me so much frustration 🙏🏽
Glad it helped!
