- In 2018 when I paddled the St. John River with Gracie, we came across the old cabin at Flaws Bogan. An old Maine Forest Service cabin from the 1930's/40's. It was in rough shape and in need of maintenance so after completing the river trip I contacted North Maine Woods. The director agreed to hire me to make the repairs necessary to preserve the cabin. In this video I return to complete the finishing touches on the cabin that I wasn't able to get to last trip. #logcabin #offgrid #cabinbuilding
This cabin is an official North Maine Woods campsite and is open to the public on a first come first served basis.

Never stops to amaze me! The awesome creation of God, the blueness of the skies, the greenness of the evergreens and the glimmering water, we have a lot to thank God for 👍 😃 Thank you for sharing another stunning video. Beautiful as always the memory verse. Hugs to a wonderful pretty Gracie. Have a wonderful time out there and such a great work on that cabin. Waiting for more ................

I live in The Pacific Northwest. It's very enjoyable to see the beautiful landscape of Maine and how you navigate it. Your cabin repairs, lifestyle and comradeship with Gracie is enjoyable as well. Great job👍 What a wonderful view, and area in Maine, thanks for sharing. Gracie is so lucky to have you.
I’m soo blessed to have her
I love your dog, you could not have a better companion. Your nature and wildlife scenes are awesome, you have a fantastic eye to catch the best to include. You need to be greatly complimented on the work you did on the cabin. I remember your original visit, looking for all the issues that needed addressed. You did outstanding work and I hope others appreciate all you did and someone pats you on the back as they say “Well done”. Love your vids.
👍
Awww, poor Gracie poo being tormented by the bugs. Sent anti bug measures for you both. Supposed to all be there by tomorrow.

Nice to see the outdoors in other parts of the US. Can you add closed captions for those of us who need them? Thanks for all you do.
You can turn on closed captions in your you tube settings
Howdy Cory- the cabin looks amazing! Mighty fine job brother. Looking forward to the next one. Take care and God bless
Thanks Paul
Thank you for all your hard work restoring this and other cabins. Truly a community service you can be proud of your entire life. A note about Gracie. I have a pup with a similar attitude. Actually, my pup is an old lady. What I love about Gracie and Patches is their "take what I get attitude and make the most of it". Lay in the grass and sleep, or sit and sniff the air on the boat. Too bad more humans couldn't adapt that behavior and be happy with less.
👊
Good Stuff, My Friend!!!
You cut wood and paint REALLY fast.
Nice finishing details on the cabin. Strong work. 👊🏽👍🏽🤙🏽
👍
Cabin looked great, drone shots were amazing as always. Thanks for bringing us along. Stay safe. 🙏
👍
Great video! Awesome job on restoring the cabin. i love watching your videos! have a Wicked Good day! :)
👍
You did a great job on the cabin renovation.
Thank you!
Nice work man... That house look great now..
Thank you. We stopped there in the 90's.
Another great job Cory. Was wondering if and how often you have hikers or canoes stop to visit or stay. Keep up the great work and enjoying nature 👍
Canoers stop in and use the cabin in the spring and people hike in and use the cabin in the fall. I have done most of the work during the summer when there’s a lull in visitors, there’s also been moose hunting parties that have used the cabin
Cory the cabin looks great! nice job. Cory, this is what I see from you!
2 Peter 1:7

Nice Job. Greadings from Germany 🇩🇪
👍
Awesome job on the cabin
👍
I think this is part of the St. John river but I can not pin point what branch this is on. I recognized the Clayton lake air strip.
Btw...say hi to Gracie for me. 😉
It's great to see you and Gracie out working on the camps again. Do you have more to work on this year?
Not at the moment but things might develop
Have you tried the bug repellent bandana for Gracie? I feel bad watching her getting buzzed by those darn flies.
She likes a smoky fire, she gets as close as she can
Great Job. Question, do you end up putting anything to close up beneath the cabin such as stones or wood boards around the circumference to close the gap between the sill and the ground. I would imagine the draft when its cold would come up through the floor and effect the heat inside pretty noticeably? Amazing job. Not many people around with your skillset.
No, that is not the intent of this cabin, it is primarily used by canoeists paddling the river in the spring and summer.
👋😎👍
👍
How does one get in touch about some work they would like done? If you're even interested. I have some property I need marked in Springfield. And a few trees to drop. Nice camp to stay in or a nice Platform in the middle of the woods with a nice view of Katahdin.
nice vid buy I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't sped up through the beautiful river scenes
Who owns the forest we’re your cabin is, can any one build there ?
Love your videos. Hug Gracie or me ❤️
No insite Video ?
The dog looks stressed out. Well, maybe just out.
Love the cabin. You obviously know much about building and restoring but not as much about dogs. You can look this up. Peanut butter is bad for dogs. Otherwise all is well.
