1. Avoid lockers at all costs. Easier to keep the alien in sight and play "merry go 'round the table" than it is to hide in a locker and get stuck for ages. 2. Try not to use the same distraction in a row or too much in a small time frame. For example.. throwing 3 flares in a row usually makes the Alien suspicious and he actually walks away from the flare in full "alert mode" looking for where it came from. I usually mix it up.. flare, noisemaker, emp, repeat cycle or toss in a slap to some metal with the wrench.. or even a single shot from a pistol (provided those two methods allow me an escape to a nearby vent where I know old "cuddles" won't come from). 3. The Alien can be a friend to you... against humans. Stand up and let someone see you and take a shot.. "teeth n claws" will go to HIS gunfire sound and dissect him like a lab rat. Great fun. 4. You don't always have to flame the alien. When doing some of the DLC's you can back into the safe room (or an elevator) just by keeping the flame thrower aimed at it. 5. Try not to use the flame thrower so much.. the Alien actually gets braver and bolder the more times he's hit with it. Until he no longer fears it at all. Seriously... late in the game if you had used the FT a lot.. it WILL charge through the flames to grab you. 6. Got a generator to turn on and ole "MrMcBiteYourFaceOff" is lurking around? Set a molotav behind you about 6 paces between you and where you believe it will come. That way he steps on that while you are busy hacking, priming, or cutting whatever it is you need to do. If it doesn't come.. you can retrieve your bomb. 7. Smoke bombs can be useful in certain places.. the Alien loses sight of you and as long as you don't actually bump him in the fog.. you are good to go. Smoke bombs can also be used to pass by androids. same rule applies about bumping. 8. Out of flame fuel and no bombs? But.. have a pistol or shotgun? No problems. Locate a nearby propane tank where it is convenient, set a flare down, and wait. Shoot the tank and the alien will catch on fire and run for the vent. Then you can sneak past and go a lot further along. Use propane tanks to your advantage! 9. When playing DLC's like Safe Haven or Lost Contact, remember you can set things on a level that stay put until the next. Like placing a bomb in a spot that will kill all three robots as long as you set a flare at the right spot too. Or a molotav under a vent for another level where you know the alien will drop out of... works nicely when you plan it out. 10. Use door locks when you are in deep doo-doo... (being sighted). The Alien will not be able to get into some of those med-rooms... so it's gonna go away for a bit until the door gets unlocked. Generally, it does not even come into those rooms at all unless it sees you, hears something, ... OR.. you make the mistake of hiding in a locker INside one of those rooms (yeah, for some reason the alien suddenly remembers it left its wallet in this particular room the second you go into a locker).
@@gasperbevc8092 The Alien stopped me once in the hallways of Sevastapol and corrected some of calculations I had made for some devices I put together. @@d0nKsTaH Reading your comment and eating popcorn while waiting in the locker and writing questions about how the universe works to ask it when he opens it.
Quick note here. The reason you dont hide for too long in one place is because of how the Ai Director works. Eventually the alien will start deep searching a area that your in, meaning it will search lockers and under stuff
You can find forever in single locker, but eventually alien will come close and you will have to hold breath in correct timing, otherwise you will get caught. Also there is not benefit for long hiding.
@@SrogaPoziomka I've watched it search lockers and under desks unprovoked. It starts to deep search areas it heard you in if your in a level for a while and will continue to do so for the rest of the game. This is because the Director AI let's the alien learn how you like to avoid it and it will adjust it's behavior (as long as it doesn't directly lead to the players death) It makes you feel like the alien is learning and it forces you to avoid it in different ways. For example if have a save where you exclusively use noisemakers to avoid it, it eventually stops inspecting the devices that you throw one it figures out what the sound was. It will also double back instead of searching the area the noisemaker is in, because it knows you threw it from somewhere, so it will search around the area that has line of sight to the noisemaker that isn't in the immediate area. This is really cool bc you can eventually throw a noise maker really close to yourself and the alien will not search the area as hard as it would if you didn't use the noise maker
Another tip: When you receive the flamethrower in 'The Trap' mission, don't reload the flamethrower with fuel that you have collected when you use it. Instead, use up the 500 units and keep all the extra fuel that you have collected along the way. In mission 12 your flamethrower will be confiscated but will be returned to you in mission 14 fully loaded with 500 units. This way you'll have plenty of extra ammo for the tougher missions later on when confronting the Alien. :)
they need to make an alien vs c marines but with alien isolation engine and game play ot make the 2 aliens isolation that you can kill the alien very hard but avtual posible
@Michael Marling But in the Alien, Ripley and her mother becomes meeting again, but unfortunately she'd become extremely old when that's happened. (Reason; Ellen ripley enters a cryogenic sleep after her event in Alien universe) And also in the end, you can see a light reflection through her helmet. So it's probably a space ship who found her.
Thanks for this tips now I'm outwalking this alien, ill never leave those lockers alone tho, because if he sees you and starts screaming i found out you can run ASAP to it and he will just enter the room and backoff without smelling. Thanks again
thanks, when the alien got out of the vent i used to hide for 15 minutes until he just got back, i always walked crouched and the game was pretty slow, and i overused the radar thing, i tried your tips and now im enjoying it a lot man
For once, the alien didn't leave the room fifteen minutes straight. I just hiding behind the table and it's turning around the table while I was hiding from it. I can call that a little bit funny if it's not chasing me the whole time.
Don't you just hate it when you're hiding behind a desk and there is no way in hell that the Alien could possibly have seen you and you're sitting perfectly still not making any noise and the Alien somehow knows exactly where you are, runs straight towards you and kills you? Man I love this game!
Thats a naughty one yes, but what is more naughty is the rear moments when you hide under a table and it's bloody tail clips through the graphics of the table and catches you. Forget that. What's filthier is hiding in a vent with my back turned to the wall, to then have a death animation of his tail penetrating through my bloody back😂😂😂
I disagree a little bit about immediately moving out from your hiding place when you hear the Alien go into a vent. Sometimes he likes to double back on himself.
i remember on mission 6 i was hiding inside a locker in the office next to the room with the keycard-required door and the alien jumped out in front of me, went back in the vents, only to jump out in the neighboring room. had i went out i would've been dead... i say check your tracker before going out of your hiding place.

These are all great tips. I would just add some other ones. First, to save ammo, shoot the android once in the face with shotgun, then beat him to death with the maintenance jack. Second, don't waste flamethrower ammo or any other ammo on facehuggers, you can kill them easily with the maintenance jack. If you shoot an industrial Android with boltgun and he doesn't die, one shot with the revolver will finish him off. Save molotovs and pipe bombs for multiple targets. Don't get into shootouts with armored humans, use the stun baton if it's a single target, or use molotovs or pipe bombs for multiple targets. I like to use a noisemaker to draw them all together in a nice tight group, then i pop up and throw a pipe bomb at them
Here's my tip. Don't play if you're trying to quit smoking. I'd just got to the part where there's more than one alien n I had no flame thrower fuel. By the time I eventually got past, I was ready to stick my head through the telly
One major thing you should have mentioned is that you lose health in the locker and the reason you are caught even with pressing the right buttons is actually the death animation of you suffocated to death. Don't hide in lockers if you can indeed
