    That new camera really works really well, the maximum zoom shots on the road are amazing, only appreciated when you pull back the zoom and the long distance vehicles just vanish.
    Only restricted by the thickness of the atmosphere and the heat thermals bending the light.
    That shot of the loverly suspension bridge with everything around it looked amazing.
    The human eye and brain always sees a bit more, but not much more than your camera.
    Maybe when you are feeling bored, you can use your new microscope to inspect the hdmi socket on the old camera, or the state of the soldering.

      It's a great camera. I like the ax33 better as it has a 20mp sensor so it does take a higher quality still image when used for snapping pictures. The 53 does have double the zoom range. Use the 53 for my videos and 33 as my travel camera.

    I've been using one of these for my RUclips recordings for about a year now. I've had the occasional missed recording though because the tally light LED is feeble and not well placed. So always make really sure you are recording when you want to be! I use it with a Neewer NW700 microphone most of the time.

      The ax43 has a lot less options then the ax33 or 53 its mostly for vlogers so if all so its a better bargain for RUclips vids if you not useing the pro options on the ax33 53

      The lack of an eye piece was a no go for me. Same for mirrorless. Even though many do have an eyepiece is is fixed and can not be swiveled down which makes for hard tripod use when camera is lower than eye level. That is the big reason I use the 33, 53 and 100 over my DSLR. My DSLR has a great OLED eyepiece (as does the FDR ax100) but unless i am hand holding and taking a snap it is useless and the flip out screen is useless outside in the sun. I should have mentioned it in the video, but the eyepiece on the 53, like the 33 is not an OLED screen like the bigger ax1000. It is a single panel reflective LCOS type screen. The light source is a sequential RGB LED source that strobes the LCOS panel with rapid cycling color flashes for the full color image to appear through the persistence of vision. If you shift your eye while looking through the view finder you will see a momentary flash of color and you see the lights illuminating the area around the screen. Much higher resolution then the back lit LCD screens from older camcorders but nowhere as good as the OLED option on the ax100 whish is WYSIWYG.

    • @video99couk
      @video99couk 3 года назад

      @@Tactical_Nightwach Yes the new cost reduced ax43 could well hit the spot for a lot of RUclipsrs, though of course it wasn't an option a year ago.

    I have the Sony FDR-AXP35 4K for a few years and works excellent. The built in projector works excellent too. Mine also has 20.6MP and 64GB builtin memory plus it has the USB cable on the hand strap and comes with a USB extension.

    Nice bike and nice camera. Amazing how clear the shots from those long distances were. Do you think using it from a moving vehicle would be better than a go-pro. I notice that in certain conditions. for some reason they don't pick up detail very well. Is it when heading into the sun instead of having it behind you.

    I am torn between the 43 or the 53. Some reviewers have said the 53 has some reliability issues .
    Is the 43 the better buy or should i go with the 53.
    The prices have gone up so much - either cameras are in the $ 1200 dollar range in Canada.

      This is my main production camera for RUclips. I never use 5.1, just 2 channel sound

    • @tristanmckenzie1623

      @12voltvids Okay so you don't really have an opinion on what's better then?

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  27 дней назад

      Since I don't shoot in 5.1 there's no point as I don't have a sound system in my studio only 2 channels so shooting in 5.1 I'm not gonna hear It anyway. My opinion however between this camera the AX53 and the AX33 which is the older model is that the AX33 is a better camera. For starters the AX33 has a 20.6 megapixel image sensor versus a 16 on the X53. The only thing the 53 has going forward is the 20 times zoom lens as the 33 only has a 10 times however the older 33 with its higher pixel count image sensor shoot the sharper picture and the still photos from it are 20 megapixel VS 16 which look betthat list camera. I also have an AX 100 which also has a 20 megapixel sensor but it also uses a one inch sensor so it has better depth of field and it shoots better video still quite a bit better actually and better still. The X 100 also features an oled viewfinder Which is superior to treflective LCOS eyepiece on the 33 and 53. You see exactly what the picture is going to look like on the ax 100 but that's Also much more expensive camera I have all 3

    • @tristanmckenzie1623
      @tristanmckenzie1623 27 дней назад

      @12voltvids True that makes sense, plus you can shoot at a higher frame rate if you use 2ch, right? Because 5.1 means you have to go to AVCHD mode, which is standard HD? But you are right 2 ch probably makes more sense to film in then because of what you just said. I have the AX43 which is virtually the same, same price as the 53 minus the view finder and the night filming mode but that's it. So the 53 really what it has going for itself is the great stabilization. Picture is still pretty good but not as good as your older model and others as you say

      I shoot avchd 60p at 30 megabits. Avchd-s the 60p but shoots 50 megs. 4k is 30p at either 60 or 100megs. The ax43 only has a 9mp sensor and no eyepiece just flip out screen.

    I'm surprised you haven't moved to mirrorless DSLRs such as the Sony A7siii. Not cheap as you also need separate lenses (I adapt Canon Ls for mine from my old Canon kit) but with so many adaptors for the camera your choice of lenses is almost limitless (although you forgo many of the auto focus features on non-Sony lenses). If you're feeling creative you can shoot in log and of course the 24MP gives superb stills; plus it uses full size SD cards.

    • @12voltvids
      @12voltvids  3 года назад +4

      I have an slt Sony which uses a semi reflective mirror for the af and a bunch of lenses. 24mp that i use for time lapse shooting. I prefer a video camera for shooting video. I use an FDR ax100 for serious stuff and it also shoots great stills. These days i don't want to haul around a bag of lenses. I just want 1 camera that i can travel with and be able to shoot nice stills with and video. For a single camera solution it is hard to beat this one.

      For certain projects a camcorder is far superior. Small, compact, built in lens, viewfinder, zoom to name many. For the small screen there is no advance to using a DSLR, which are awkward.

      To couple the various amplifier stages together. Digital is just 1 and 0 bit streams. Chips talking to each other.
