Great job. Appreciate your review. I know it’s been out for awhile but I’m still seriously considering purchasing. Gonna try to postpone the decision as long as possible. Maybe Sony will update the model or there will be another price decrease.
I have my camera but the touchscreens is not working what can I do .? Can one tell me the type of a remote control and pls send me photo for that remote.
I film football matches which means rapid panning. I don't want to use the camcorder's flip out screen when recording as it is too small for my liking, so I plan to control the camcorder with my 6.2 inch smartphone which will be mounted on top of the camcorder using an adapter fixed to the hot shoe socket. Can you tell me what the delay or lag is between camcorder and smartphone when the two are connected and panning quickly? Thanks.
Thanks for the comment much. 1080p files are recorded in a MTS file format and 4K is recorded in a MP4 format. In terms on transfering the files I just plug the SD card into my computer and move the entire contents over to my laptop and then I navigate to the location where all the video are and move them around. Simple to do. Hope that helps.
James Goldstein Only 4K dukes are recorded in MP4 file format on this camera. I own a 2018 MacBook Pro and had no issue plugging in the SD card from the camera into an adaptor for the Mac’s USD Type-C port.
Can anyone help me? I have an AX53 camera and have used it on auto for about a year, no problems and love it. I then decided to play around with the manual button particularly in regard to manual focus. I now find that there are icons all over the pull-up viewfinder which I am sure were not there before. These are the same icons you see when you open up the screen. Firstly I went online to chat to a Sony helper. There was no-one there. I then rang the Sony help-line and talked to a call centre employee. He did some research and helped and advised me to do a reboot using the "Initialise" menu button. I did that but IT MADE NO DIFFERENCE. So my question is; due to my fading memory am I correct that there should be no icons in the pull-up viewfinder apart from the standby and record icons? Otherwise can anyone help me to fix the problem seeing as Sony themselves seem to be useless. Please write to beldengi@gmail.com or post here.
I have a Panasonic HC-V770 , however I find tiny screen annoying. I have eyesight issues... Can you plug this into a macbook pro and use quicktime to record directly?

sony dit release a cheaper version of this called fdr AX-43. but it just convince me how good is ax 53.

does the image stabilization work when filming in 4K?
Yes it does, but not the intelligent active, only the active mode, so it won't be gimbal like on 4k but yes on 1080p

From what I recall the lag between the phone and camcorder wasnt too bad at fast speeds around a 1 sec.

From what I've seen so far don't think that's possible, but not 100% sure.

Yes there is
Not as good as the Panasonic VX1
- Surround sound is BS, You can skip it. 1080p 60 looks better then 4K 30 IMHO.
