I currently have a Hybrid, I've learned a bit in the way the computer manages the battery. It likes to keep the charge levels 40-70 percent. It's a 19' Toyota Camry xle and those battery packs can be expected to last around 200k miles. If I were to own a EV long term, I'd replicate the way that the Camry manages its battery, keeping the charge threshold to 85 percent or lower. Even "protect battery" mode on my 23 Galaxy ultra keeps the threshold at 85 percent capacity. The battery wear has been staying low in comparison to not doing that with my previous 20 ultra that was on its 3rd battery at the time of its retirement.

That is insane how bad the 20 ultra battery was 😱, I currently use a oppo Reno 2 from 2019 as my everyday media device that for the first 2 years I would 100% charge every night but now just do a 80% charge and can still get over 5 hours of media playback before I get down to 10% today .It also has an extremely linear discharge, something that cannot be said for my pixel 8 that once it drops beyond 20% you have minutes before shutdown.

I’ve been charging it to 90 percent everyday. Unless we take it in a road trip. Should I change it to 85 then? Make it last longer . I know some about it but not all. Haven’t went into crazy research mode in it.

@@BeardedApplianceRepair If it's a truck you intend on keeping, then try to take care of it. If it's a leased vehicle, then I'd do as I wished. It's not going to be our problem in 2 years or less. Right?

The pro and XLT trims have a 12" screen (still feels huge!) and traditional buttons for everything. I prefer my XLT over everything being on the screen.

@@JasenLawrence I agree, buttons are better with gloves on. It gets cold where I'm at.
