Amy Lee and Wagakkiband's interaction began when Amy Lee invited them to her own concerts in the United States after WGB signed a global deal with Universal Sigma in June 2019, making them on the same label.
And in return, we invited her to be a special guest at this concert.
Amy Lee has a song ( speak to me) definitely not a rock song but one of the most beautiful songs I’ve heard, and definitely shows her talent as a singer
Wagakki Band's drummer Wasabi was on the "Sasuke" TV special couple nights ago-"Sasuke" is the original Japanese version of the "Ninja Warrior" competition-and he got to the 3rd stage, just short of the final stage. Actually, no one advanced to the final stage that night. Wasabi is one fit dude, behind the drum kit or anywhere else.

This was from Wagakki Band Premium Symphonic Night Vol. 2. Live and orchestra in Osaka-jo Hall February 2020. A one night show only.
How the collaboration went is briefly like this.
The record company proposed a collaboration, since they were now under the same label.
Wagakki Band was invited to an event Amy Lee had with an orchestra. They chatted and agreed that it could be good. Wagakki band invited here to Premium Symphonic Night Vol.2. for the performance of this.
She was also involved in the last verse of Senbonzakura, the song after it.
They also wrote and recorded a song together "Sakura Rising"

Yes, this is fun, but you really should check out more Wagakki Band just on their own--they really kick it up a notch. Here they were holding back a little to give Amy some room.
Enjoyed this version. Yuko and Amy sound great together & I always love watching WGB perform. I would like to see more of WGB. I’m always impressed with artists like Amy & Lzzy Hale who, despite being big stars in their own right, are so willing to share the spotlight. Being that this is Amy’s song, she could have insisted on having the major role. Instead, it was closer to 50/50 with Yuko perhaps edging her out as far as role size. Too many stars - actors, athletes, singers, etc. - get incredibly arrogant and snobbish. Amy and Yuko looked like they were having a genuinely fun time singing together.

Dang. I’d hate to have to sing next to Amy Lee. Maybe 3-4 women in the world can rock with her. Floor Jansen and Ann Wilson for sure. Then, maybe Pat Benatar, Lzzy Hale, or Cristina Scabbia? She makes even other brilliant singers like Hayley Williams or Avril Lavigne sound flimsy. I just wish someone would come along and write her a few more hits like the ones from Fallen.
Yuko harmonizes with her really well. They work in different registers.
