Loved it. Wagakki band is one of the most interesting bands out there with the mix of traditional and modern instruments. Their voices blended wonderfully.
I also have listened to this song many, many times and this is the finest arrangement of Bring Me To Life that I have ever heard and/or seen. Amy and Yuko's duet was in perfect counterpoint to their respective styles. BMTL was always a great song, but this arrangement puts this song in the category of true musical beauty. This video also gives an indication of how well Yuko's vocal talent holds up while working with one of modern music's best vocalist. The addition of the traditional instruments, and especially the full symphony orchestra makes it a masterpiece.
I agree. I couldn’t believe how moved I was. You are absolutely correct about the traditional instruments and the symphony, truly made this a masterpiece.
@@SixxDaze Thanks Bob. I knew you were hooked the minute I saw you look at and rub your arms, it makes your hair stand on end, lol. And I'm not sure, but I heard that Machiya, the guitarist from WGB wrote the arrangement. He is also a very talented composer and songwriter, along with Yuko and Asa, the bassist. They all had been doing compositions before the band was formed. There is such a wealth of talent within the group and they are all so versatile. Before the band was formed Yuko had formed a group named Hanafugetsu with her husband Kiyoshi on Koto and Diasuke Kaminaga the floutist. They had all been in university together and I believe that Kurona, who plays the Wadaiko drums, was also there at the same time. Yuko played the piano and sang and Kiyoshi and Daisuke accompanied her. There are several videos on RUclips. There are also videos of Yuko singing in jazz clubs, and she had recorded a solo project called Cradle of Eternity, which has a video on RUclips also. She collaborated with the Kami Band on the song and video. You should react to it, I know you will love it, as it shows a slightly different side of Yuko and you hear the full range of her amazing voice.

Totally agree with you that this version is better. It was the record company that proposed a collaboration since they were now under the same label. Amy liked what she heard and saw. About a year later, she was invited to the Wagakki Band Premium Symphonic Night Vol. 2 Live and Orchestra in Osaka Jo-Hall, February 2020. They also wrote a song together called Sakura Rising, which was also included on the album Tokyo singing which was released later that year.
@@SixxDaze I can only find Senbonzakura where Amy Lee was on the last verse. It was a vocaloid cover Wagakki Band does. They performed it live on the Tokyo Singing tour.
