Made this cake a couple days ago. Very delicious! The recipe worked out exactly as it was supposed too. Only difference is that I did end up having to mix the frosting at the end for a little bit longer to get it to the consistency I wanted. The icing amount was perfect too, I wish I would have added more to the middle. I was worried about having enough to decorate with but I had plenty. Definitely make this recipe! 10/10
Hello! thanks for your recipe. I made 2 layers of 6" lemon butter cake with half of the batter and got 9 cupcakes from rest of the batter! ❤❤ paired with lemon curd and whipped cream. The cake was soft, buttery, lemony and moist need nt to say. 😊 But I wana share my baking experience hope to get some solid suggestions. ❤ * to me 260g ofAP flour (recipe says 300g) made the batter a bit dense. next time i will cut down to 250g. * I know buttery cakes are meant to be on sweeter side but I don't like that sickeningly sweet taste. I measured 230g( recipe says 300g) of sugar. and again next time i think 180-190 g would be perfect for me. WILL THIS CHANGE OF SUGAR AFFECT TEXTURE A LOT?
I checked the recipe in the description but there are no measurements for the ingredients, please could I get them🙏 I really want to make this cake for my birthday
Oh my god. I accidentally caramelized the roux for the frosting. It ended up being a light brown instead of the pasty white like in the video. But the end result was still delicious, and the sweetness really was just right! Thank you for this!!
Hi Nagi! My cake is baking right now in the oven. I can’t wait to eat it tomorrow for Easter with my family. I have a question: In the recipe notes, #8 says that lemon extract gives a boost to the lemon flavor, but in the actual recipe, it didn’t say when to add it. ??
I followed this to the letter but my cakes didn't seem to rise as much as in the videos. All of the consistencies looked fine, my ingredients were fresh, my temperatures and speeds were right, too. Would anyone know what I might have missed?
I saw on the lemon cake recipe page, she wrote: "Remove from oven. Cool in cake pans for 15 minutes, then gently turn out onto cooling racks. If using as layer cakes, cool upside down - slight dome will flatten perfectly. Level cake = neat layers." :)
This woman is not a scammer as she does not receive money from people but from her affiliates but duping people as she is the one making recipes or writing. Of course, she controls the posts and stars, if people write a negative review, it does not appear on her site or if she's given 1 star. She keeps only 5 stars. So don't fall victim because of a recipe on her site having 5 stars. However, sometimes people who work for her do mistakes in publishing a comment. For example, a commenter would ask about an ingredient or type of cooking her recipe ask for optimum outcome. Shockingly she does not have a clue about that ingredient or cooking that thing. I have seen a couple of times, commentator directs her to her recipe what she'd written :-) These are the comments passed through by mistake. I wonder the ones that didn't but she was sooooo busted.
Pls share how I glaze the fruits (lemon orange etc) for cake topping … desperate to learn ! Only u can do it … rest RUclipsrs are criminal waste of time highly disappointing 😢

Looks delicious 😋
Interesting how you add the fat(butter) in at the end in both the cake batter and the icing. Obviously it works.😊

Hi Nagi!

love this recipe
Y....las cantidades en el momento que vas añadiendo????resulta tan difícil???
Can you please say what brand or what kind of butter u use?

Glad I can use regular cake mixer 😋
Someone needs to buy you a stand mixer for Xmas! Cake looks great.
this was a lovely recipe. i would increase bake time by 2 or 3 minutes though
question....is this a moist cake????
What is the trick to getting the cake to bake so flat and even, with no dry top or edges? Thanks xx

@@quinnqian1256 thank you 😊
Amazing
Exact measurement for the frosting please 😢
Mmmm looks tasty!!! 😍😁
Tried your chicken tenders and honey mustard dipping sauce. 10 out of 10 I'll try this next. Keep up the good work.
Hi Nagi , I have asked regarding if I could prepare cupcake with this recipe . Hope to receive your reply soon. Thx
Hy, can I use oil only instead of butter
Yes. Go to Joy of baking she is a excellent baker & explains a lot. I learn a lot from her.
Ten out if ten, would recommend 💙💙
Good 👍
The frosting is rather similar to German buttercream which uses vanilla pudding instead of the roux. I personally think it tastes even better.
why does the lemon look like brown powder?
We need measurements
Yum 😋
no measurements
I attempted this and it didn't come out. On to another one
I made this.
It turned out too dense for me.
I didn't have yogurt so substitute it with sour cream instead
One insanely delicious calorific cake 🍰🍋🍋🍋

How much butter do want in your cake???
*Yes.*
Go through everything to get to the recipe to find it's in cups. WHAT!!!
the cake looks stunning but i don't feel like to wash 30 dishes for one cake
She does not mention but most of her recipes from Cook's Illustrated
I followed this recipe precisely. It was complex and difficult and the final result did not taste all that special. It was bland.
Thx for saving my time and frustration. Try Joy Of Baking. She teaches a lot about baking while mixing her ingredients.
