When the Donner Cut of Superman 2 was EVENTUALLY greenlit, there was much that had to be either Lester material, or even use audition footage, because the necessary shots simply did not and never would exist. Besides....you know how Warner gets when it comes to supposedly "nonexistent" cuts, and refusing to release them (let alone acknowledge them)

Also if you go on Facebook there's a group called Nygmatech Archives. The guy who runs it has two shots of Two Face in his cell (?!) who knows where that came from? The beginning of the film? A flashback? Also if you read the Akiva Goldman script he has a brief couple of scenes of the Vondelle Millions tv show (a kind of chat show) that Chase comes on as a guest and defends Batman. It wasn't very good and I don't know if they shot it. There was also something in the script where Nygma tries his new box on his nosy landlady Mrs Ludovic. Don't know if that was shot.

There was a "sneak preview" that aired on The WB that showed the entire uncut Riddler and Two-Face punching cops scene. I had it on VHS for so many years and then it broke because I watched it too many times. I'd give a small but better-than-nothing reward if you or anyone else can find it and post it.

Releasing the Schumacher cut is a movement I can actually get behind. Not only do I genuinely enjoy Batman Forever, but there's also how Joel Schumacher compares as a person to Zack Snyder. In both there's no scenes of Harvey in a cell. Both start with Dr Burton finding the guard in his cell. Daryl - the guy who posted the image - says it's from the opening but I'm thinking it might have been from a longer news report or maybe a dream sequence when Bruce is unconscious from being shot.

Fun fact that I went to the theatre and that extended footage WAS in the version shown ... but was obviously cut from the home version and everything else. After the "Batman will come for me" line from Chase, he comes over and mocks her "coming for you ... I'm counting on it" ... then had a few more words (can't recall) as he pulled out the needle and injected her to which she doze off right away.

You forgot one. TwoFace shoots a clown at the circus in the middle of the stage. You can find it on my circus remix clip for our Batman Forever Remix project. Can only show a minute or so of that particular clip due to Warner Bros allowing at least limited segments. "Eye of the Circus" is our clip showing TwoFace doing this on the TV while Nigma watches. It was originally from a behind the scenes HBO special of Batman Forever that was cropped and put on Nigma's TV instead. The "Eye" is a running theme Batman Forever. From Jim Carrey's work place, to his apartment..Two Face crashing the helicopter into an eye, the circus stage is an eye as Dick's parents fall to death of the eye. It's there in more ways that one that hopefully our Remix project can show some more "light" as the project gives Batman Forever a completely new feel as well as new mashups of Batman related composers including Danny, Elliot, Hans, Christopher, Nick and others. This isn't a "Tim Burton" dark remix/cut as that has kind of been done a few times. This is an attempt to look at the movie at a completely new perspective and showing much respect by improving Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carey's character. Oh at Bat nipples are more limited..i cannot comment on the CGI or cropping but it's certainly going to be less distracting for newer audiences especially. Val Kilmer is the best Bruce Wayne and I personally am a huge fan of the original script of this film.

The original cut of Batman Forever must've been wild. The film is already teetering on a constant tightrope between dark, adult drama and campy, Adam West style theatrics as is and the glimpse we have of the original cut does nothing to change that. In fact, it seems to even be more schizophrenic in tone as there's both dark, scary scenes and campy, light-hearted scenes that have been left on the cutting room floor in equal measure. Still, I'd love to see it. It probably tells a much more cohesive and coherent story overall. The biggest problem with the finished cut is that there's no payoff for the sub-plot of Bruce reconciling with his parents' death.
💯 it's very much a film of two halves (which is kind of appropriate). I recommend checking out one of the fan edits that puts all these deleted scenes back in. "Batman Forever Restored" is probably my favourite.

I read a scene of Bruce on the grave like in Batman tmop... cartoon before he said Dick that he want be again Batman... we never see a Bruce with the grave of his family maybe Keaton in the firts movie but nothing more
Oh no I think they just used Elfman's score because Goldenthal was still working on perfecting his score. I think actually in terms of cutting the film it was actually pretty smooth and quick. The deleting of the Giant Bat and rearranging of the opening seem to have been done very early on in the editing.

I don't know. I know he's said in the past that he prepped a director's cut for the 2005 dvd release but Warners passed on it. Who knows if there's a copy or notes? I think the best thing would be to wait and see how the Snyder Cut does. If it's a hit Warners might rethink releasing a director's cut of Forever.

From Jim Carrey's work place, to his apartment..Two Face crashing the helicopter into an eye, the circus stage is an eye as Dick's parents fall to death of the eye. It's there in more ways that one that hopefully our Remix project can show some more "light" as the project gives Batman Forever a completely new feel as well as new mashups of Batman related composers including Danny, Elliot, Hans, Christopher, Nick and others. This isn't a "Tim Burton" dark remix/cut as that has kind of been done a few times. This is an attempt to look at the movie at a completely new perspective and showing much respect by improving Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carey's character. Oh at Bat nipples are more limited..i cannot comment on the CGI or cropping but it's certainly going to be less distracting for newer audiences especially. Val Kilmer is the best Bruce Wayne and I personally am a huge fan of the original script of this film.

@@1995Batman I should have made my tone friendlier in the beginning. I am impressed that only one at least I noticed was missing. I love your detail to the snapshots of Claw Island, Riddler injecting Chase and so many others. Maybe one day footage to some of this will come to light, until then all we have are remixes and fanedeits. Joel did deserve better and so did the original screenwriters who wrote "Batman 3" for this.

The original cut of Batman Forever must've been wild. The film is already teetering on a constant tightrope between dark, adult drama and campy, Adam West style theatrics as is and the glimpse we have of the original cut does nothing to change that. In fact, it seems to even be more schizophrenic in tone as there's both dark, scary scenes and campy, light-hearted scenes that have been left on the cutting room floor in equal measure.
Still, I'd love to see it. It probably tells a much more cohesive and coherent story overall. The biggest problem with the finished cut is that there's no payoff for the sub-plot of Bruce reconciling with his parents' death.
💯 it's very much a film of two halves (which is kind of appropriate). I recommend checking out one of the fan edits that puts all these deleted scenes back in. "Batman Forever Restored" is probably my favourite.

I read a scene of Bruce on the grave like in Batman tmop... cartoon before he said Dick that he want be again Batman... we never see a Bruce with the grave of his family maybe Keaton in the firts movie but nothing more

I've heard the early Workprints did use Elfman's music as a temp score while Goldenthal was composing.

Oh no I think they just used Elfman's score because Goldenthal was still working on perfecting his score. I think actually in terms of cutting the film it was actually pretty smooth and quick. The deleting of the Giant Bat and rearranging of the opening seem to have been done very early on in the editing.

I don't know. I know he's said in the past that he prepped a director's cut for the 2005 dvd release but Warners passed on it. Who knows if there's a copy or notes? I think the best thing would be to wait and see how the Snyder Cut does. If it's a hit Warners might rethink releasing a director's cut of Forever.

Yeah I think there's only one deleted scene for Batman 89 - the little girl asking Batman if it's Halloween. That's the only one that's been released.
