    It's funny how similar the taste is of everyone living there. Before i watched the video I already knew what he looked like, his fashion sense, his furniture etc Theres another video of a couple living in the Barbican, and it's almost a caricature. I think they may be related to this guy

    Yes, the interior is fantastic, but "high density" housing doesn't have to mean an ugly exterior, does it? The one on the outside looks like the low design of a Robert Moses housing project in NYC. Just because you're designing of low income or high density, doesn't mean you have to lack aesthetics.

      He’s talking about the amount of windows and natural light that comes in and makes the place very bright naturally, which makes it possible for him to have the duller colours and create variety and not just the white on white on white we see all the time

    The outside looks like a high-end housing project in the Bronx, circa 1970's, or a depressing prison.

    • @kplus25
      @kplus25 3 года назад

      They have shot it on a very grey day, but it's actually not depressing at all. At least in my opinion. It has a lot of concrete, but it is balanced by brownstone and lots of ponds, fountains and greenery. It is a huge complex and those balancing elements help to not make it feel oppressive.

    • @aggiesjc

      I agree. Frightening and oppressive in appearance. The water features and landscaping are dismal at best.

      @Tommaso Petrolo So I’ve only begun watching this channel a day or so ago, but in that short time this is the third time I’ve seen a comment from you taking issue with the lack of diversity of the owners, and I’m not disputing that but I’m wondering why you’re watching? I thought about your issue with this channel last night and I think I get diversity from the wide array of channels and sources of design I frequent. I’ll look at good/interesting/innovative design and Architecture wherever it is and learn from that esthetic, I’m not going to limit myself based on ownership, that makes me discriminate again ME! I’m especially interested in interior design and solutions for small spaces because that’s always been my challenge. I particularly enjoy a feed I’ve been getting on small older studio apartments in New York City, like 400 sq feet or so, they have some GREAT storage solutions. I could give a rat’s ass who lives there or in these homes. So why are you here if not for the design? You don’t want to look at the homes of these people, don’t support/subscribe/click on this channel. You’re not going to impact anyone that’s viewing it, they’re like me, they’re just looking at things like furniture and paint. 👀

    • @ezthepest
      @ezthepest 4 года назад +2

      @@carolz5090 People can be simultaneously interested in interior design and ask questions about featuring people from diverse backgrounds. It's hardly offensive 🙄

    • @carolz5090
      @carolz5090 4 года назад +1

      @@ezthepest I didn’t say it was offensive. I said I agreed with him regarding the diversity of the home owners in this series. I said that I don’t limit the interior design I see on RUclips due based on the color of the owners. I’m interested in good design regardless of who owns the space. I look at the homes of millionaires in England, and people who are creating really interesting solutions for very small spaces. I watched one today about an artist in Basque who renovated a small church himself, and several others dealing with micro apartments in NYC and Paris. If I’m not limiting myself on what I watch diversity naturally follows. I suggested to him that he not patronize this channel if he had a problem with the ownership of homes that were shown, there are zillions of other videos on design, and that he shouldn’t givie the creators here the clicks since HE found the channel offensive.
