- Hola mi gente today I bring you a PR classic! Corned Beef Enjoy!! Made with French fries and corn.

Ingredients
1 Can of Libbys Corned Beef
1 medium potato
Sweet canned corn (as much as you like)
black pepper
Oregano
half packet of sazon
1 can salsa de tomato (substitute tomato paste if need be)
a little water
Serve with a side of white rice and Maduros!!!!!!! Enjoy

I'm not Latina, but I grew up in a few foster homes with Puerto Rican people and I love ALL THE FOOD! Thank you for sharing.

Love of canned corned is standard throughout the Caribbean islands, not just PR. We all have a variety of ways that we season and make it.
I made this today … I am not Boriqua but I have had plenty of friends. So I did add the potato today, but I made them in my air fryer. I used 2 cans and tomato 🍅 paste … and I found it salty though I didn’t add any salt. It was so good though! My family usually does it dry … this way was way easier to eat with rice 🍚 so thank you for sharing your tradition.
I like to fry cassava/yucca on the side with my corned beef. 🇹🇹
Authentic is better, so great job. I had no idea what sofrito was so I went to your profile to see if you had a recipe but only found videos where you included it. Then I did a general RUclips search and found "Puerto Rican Sofrito Recipe". He mentioned that there are many variations, now I am curious as to what yours is. RUclips showed your video to me, I was not looking for corned beef recipes, so glad I watched, new subscriber now 😄🙃🙂

I am finally getting back into my Puerto Rican roots after years of exploring other cuisines. I LOVE making this stew with plantains in it in place of fries. I just make fried plantains and cut them up a bit, then toss them in! So good!!

Every time my mom made this growing up she always did it with potatoes and corn.
My grandma made with fries. My mom added sweet corn only. She also makes pickled red onions on the side and fry tostones.

I am from Ciales PR, we make the dish with fried cubed potatoes and or maduros cubed and fried as well, sweet corn is a must!😋

I've never been a fan of eating the olive itself but I find the food doesn't taste right if I didn't make sure to add them, so I just pick them out when I eat the food.
My mom adds extra olives to hers, so it works out :V I'm gonna try making this for the first time today, my friend's mom used to make it all the time but she's been gone for a number of years now.
Hopefully this white boy can pull it off, but I had no trouble making her rice and beans when she taught me.

I agree find a different way to can them make it easier for people with arthritis and issues with their fingers especially the elderly
