Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. We have had some lovely, positive responses, mostly on your theme of the video being a useful guide to what there is to see when you step off the ship. Hope you have as much of a memorable time as we did when you go. We will soon be giving the town of Alesund, Norway, the same treatment, so please return for that video.
By cruise? If so, Its really worth getting up early to enjoy the sail along the length of the fjord. So tranquil, and with every turn of the ship, there's more to see that will wow you with its beauty
I enjoyed your video, very informative. I like the sideshow in the relevant place rather than at the end as I do in my videos, I will make some changes to my format. Look forward to lots more content.
Thank you for your kind comments. We found in recent years that we often had more interesting and high quality still images than actual video, so pulling all that together into a montage often told the story a lot better. It is an organic process...as they say...finding edits and formats that work and some you wish you'd done differently, but we certainly pick up ideas from watching other peoples content so there's always something to learn.
Oh how lovely. Great time to go. There'll still be some snow capping the peaks, but the prospect of some early spring weather too. Best pack layers for any chilly days. Ours started warm enough for a thin hoodie, but clouded later and drizzly, so glad of the rolled up shower proof walking jacket. Enjoy guys....we look forward to seeing whatever you capture and share 📷
@#BritsAbroad | Travel - Cruise - Fly many thanks for the waterproof jacket tip! Sounds like we need a little trip to Millletts. Best wishes Lisa and Pete 😊
Thanks for those positive comments, much appreciated. There's not much there in the village, but that's its charm. To sit in that cafe with coffee and staring down the fjord was a real joy. Of course, it's also a route through to the famous sky lift cable car and a glacier further in land. Hope you have a fantastic time Brian. Our video on Alesund coming soon. But our Nordfjord video (the hours after leaving Olden and along the fjord out sea) has some great scenes in it too....in case you want take a look at that.
@BRIAN HYDE 😆 don't worry, we are as fascinated in ships as you are with cars I'm guessing, so there will be something we'll find interesting or fun, AND we like watching actual real people (not always 'vloggers') on their actual holidays 😄😀
Thanks once again BritsAbroad. We didn't explore as much of the village as you did. My wife spent a lot more time in the Gift and Souvenir Shops before getting back on Balmoral.
Last night we booked up for our 2nd cruising holiday P&O Brittania and Norwegian Fjords going to Stavanger, Olden, Haugesund and Kristiansand, not till 2025 mind you, this video is helpful
Well be sure to capture your own time there, we would love to see that. If you walk a little further out of the town from where that church is in the video, there's another church maybe worth a look. And its possible a nice photo opportunity looking deeper inland from there, and back out to the water and whatever ship you came on.
Just back Olden is a stunning place
Arguably the best Norway cruise destination as it sits there in that glorious landscape looking deep into that valley beyond the town.
Lovely video, definitely helps in my research for a cruise to the fjords. Many thanks 🚢

Beautiful. We will be here in June!

So beautiful well done my friends
See you again stay in touch cheers 👍🏻👍🏻
Great video with stunning views.. Thanks
Olden looks so quaint! Awesome work
Spectacular my friend
Kind words, thank you so much.
It's truly beautiful, really loved our visit to Olden.

Great video! We are going on a Norwegian fjords cruise in May, and Olden is one of our stops. It looks absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing.

So that was a great trip! Olden proved much better than we expected and we managed to do both the glacier and the skylift!
Great video , lots of information, scenery looks amazing. Going in August on Sky princess.

Gonna take a look at your Crown Princess videos later. A ship we don't know anything much about 👍
@@BritsAbroadTravelCruise I don’t think you will learn much from that video , the quality is terrible, It was never meant for you tube 😂

Next time ask her to film/vlog the shops and make that into a travel video. There's bound to be an audience for that 😆
