Hi. Thanks for sharing this video. I would like to ask you whether you did any land tour on arrival in Olden and Alesund? If you did is it ok to share. Thanks .

Thank you for your question. First, Norway is amazing so we are sure you will have an amazing time in all of the ports of call. The cruises we were on did not stop in Alesund. However, we stopped in Olden on each of the B2B itineraries with two very different experiences.
Our first visit ended up being a tender port and they brought us into Leon right in front of the Loen Skylift which we decided not to stand in line for tickets because the weather was overcast. There were hop-on-hop-off buses there, but they were taking passengers to Olden and reserved for cruise excursions. So we walked a bit and then found a place where we rented E-bikes and had a great day exploring the town and biked all the way to the base of Kjenndalsbreen glacier. Some of which was done in the rain, but the scenery was beautiful. If you'd like to see our video on this day you can watch this... ruclips.net/video/JWwYy_3P2K0/видео.htmlsi=TlbRRzYjsYh8Ej9Z
On our second visit we were docked right in Olden and we did some walking around the port but we also purchased a shuttle bus ticket (at the port) that would take us to/from Briksdal Glacier. Here we decided to walk the path to see the glacier but there are also Troll Cars that you can book if walking is too difficult. We haven't put together that video yet, but your comment has reminded us that we should!
We really enjoyed Norway, but several of the ports are very small ports so preplanning is very smart. What are the other ports of call on your itinerary?

Hi. Thanks so much for taking your time to reply as I am following you on your Antarctica cruise. Hope you have a great time at Antarctica. I did see your cycling trip in the rain. Amazed by what both did in the wet and cold weather. Thanks for sharing. @@HubbardsJourney

The first port of call is Haugesund, Skjolden, Olden, Alesund, Akureyri, Isafjordur, Grundarfjord and Reykjavik. Tours are pretty pricy and I think I only booked 5 land tours out of the 8

We agree 100%! The bikes were our fault. We do so much by the seat of our pants and 9 out of 10 times we end up falling into something really amazing! Thank you for the comment and coming along on our journey.
