- Welcome to the fourth episode of our Princess Cruises Sky princess Norwegian Fjords vlog series! We've arrived at our second port, a stunningly beautiful Skjolden.
Join us in this episode for some stunning scenery and once in port, we explore the village of Skjolden on foot. Once back onboard we head to the Retreat Pool, an adults on area on Sky Princess.
We take in the views as we depart before getting ready for our evening - tonight's dinner is in the World Fresh Marketplace buffet where they have a Bavarian evening. We stay up to see the midnight sun before calling it an early night!
This 7 night Sky Princess cruise will take us to the Norwegian Fjords, known as the land of the midnight sun. We will be visiting Bergen, Skjolden, Olden and Stavanger. This is our 3rd time visiting the Norwegian Fjords - we just love the scenery and sailing through the fjords.
During the series, you might recognise a few other travel bloggers and vloggers, this is because also onboard was: Brits on a Ship, Chad Cruisers, Cruise Buoys, Innocents Abroad, Nick Tours and Paul and Carole love to travel - so expect lots of fun and laughter as the drinks will be flowing all week!

We started cruising in 2014 by doing a mini break on P&O Aurora. Making videos of our cruises and sharing our experiences has become our hobby, they may not be to everyone's tastes but they are our way of remembering the great times we've had, so please keep this in mind - we are not professionals and the complete video is shot and edited on an iPhone in our spare time. The videos are our opinions and experiences while on board.
We may not be the youngest cruisers but we are trying to break the stereotype that cruising is for retired people. 16.5 23 we are on Sky Princess doing Norway Iceland cruise what a fantastic ship the crew are so helpful and the food choice is brilliant we have yet to eat in the main restaurant but have used the new fish The Catch by Rudi which we think is one of the best seafood seafood restaurants at sea the market place self service has so much choice.this is only the start. Thanks guys your video enspired us to book this. Thank you.

We went to Norway 16th April this year and people were also getting burnt. I came ba k with a tan. We didnt expect how warm it was going to be. Its also nice to see you too up and about so early. Really beautiful scenery in Skolden, loved those waterfalls, take care.

Norway is so expensive, that a cruise must be the most economical way to travel there.

Yes, cruising is a great way to explore the country. It’s definitely not cheap - same as Iceland, another expensive country

Some of these Norway ports are absolutely stunning - I can’t even imagine having an inside cabin for this scenery.
Looks like you got a great balcony for this cruise - it looks SO private with the solid casing on either side!
Norway is beautiful - a balcony really is worth it when cruising there, but we also always say up on deck you get 360 views which can be even better - so if there’s a huge saving to go inside, it is something to think about 😉 Saying that, we loved this huge balcony - perfect 👌

Probably my favourite port it is so scenic and epic. Loved the whole Game of Thrones type music in the background which fit your awesome cinematography! It was so nice seeing you hang out with @chadcruisers and @NickTours does the heart good to see good friends hanging out together makes it all the more special. I am enjoying this series of videos. I live in Canada & sailed on the Sky Princess April 30-May 14 to the Mediterranean. I will be on the Royal Princess for 2 back-to-back cruises (Mexican Riviera & Hawaii) Dec. 12-Jan. 6, departing San Francisco.

Thank you very much for this video I was so excited to see Skjolden as we are visiting next July with P&O's Aurora on our way to Iceland - only our third time of booking this cruise as our cruises in 2020 and 2021 got cancelled due to Covid. I'm definitely setting the alarm clock to get up early to watch the sail in. Have you ever thought of doing a Northern Lights cruise? We did it back in 2018 again on Aurora and have to say so far this was our favourite cruise out of over 20, would love to do it again xx

We were supposed to go there on Arcadia , it got changed to Stavanger - in end the weather stopped us going to Norway completely 😬 went to Orkney islands instead before Iceland

That sail away from Skolden was incredible, it looked like you were standing in front of a giant picture. Food looks absolutely amazing. We have the premium package and Just wondering if the drinks are included in speciality dining when you have this package. Also are the cocktails included that you had on day 1 and 2? Thanks for a fab video!
Norway is absolutely stunning, it’s why we keep going back. We’ve not cruised since they split the package but if it’s in the price limit it will be included. On this cruise they were all included up to a certain price and we stuck to that price, so what you see we didn’t need to pay, so on premium you should be fine. Yeah, drinks included at speciality dining. They may give you a menu that doesn’t have ‘normal’ drinks but you can still
Ask for say a beer, g&t etc that’s included. Enjoy!

Hello! This vlog was filmed between the 4-11th of June this year. It takes me quite some time to edit and put the videos together.
We’ve been to the fjords twice in June and once in July, for the most part we’ve had decent weather hope this helps!

Thank you do much! When you say Tui, is that the Tui (German) brand or the Marella one? We haven't done either I am afraid, we do want to try Marella as they do some lovely Med cruises. @EmmaCruises and @paulandcarolelovetotravel have cruised with Marella though - hopefully that helps a little :)

Welcome to the channel! When we went in June, they required us to do observes tests. We used medicspot and it was done over a zoom call, they talk you through it, watch you do it and then upload a photo. We had a fit to fly certified back within 30 minutes. Keep an eye on the princess website for the latest info as it can change quickly.

This one was early June 2022 - brilliant weather, went last year in early July and got drenched! Norway a little unpredictable.

Best so far due to the time devoted to the stunning scenery. You must expand your vocabulary beyond 'lovely' and 'awesome'! I don't enjoy the time you spend sitting around drinking telling us what a great time you're having. You should be having a good time at those prices!
I don’t understand what you mean exactly by saying “you should be having a good time at those prices” we do/did have a good time! A great time in fact!
These videos are primarily our holiday videos/memories the fact some people can make use of the info is a bonus, but that is the main reason we make them, self indulgent maybe, but we make them for us.
I understand some people don’t like the drinking aspect but as a rule that’s usually towards the end of the vlogs, we don’t drink from the moment we wake up most of the day is spent exploring ports etc… again, it’s our holiday video so what we film is what/how we spend our time on cruises.
This cruise was spent with a large group of friends, we had so much fun it was great, the weather being so fantastic was also an added bonus!
If I say lovely and awesome all the time it’s because I mean it, I don’t pretend to or act up for the camera like some you tubers, what you see is what you get with us.
We do make videos like our Let’s talk ship videos that cover things like the ship in more detail if those sort of videos are more to your liking, more review based as opposed to on location live on site experiences like our vlogs.
